In my 40s I purchased my first new car it was a 2013 Volkswagen Golf wagon and I loved it.
but after the emissions scandal and return of that car; a car running a stop sign and totalling my new Jetta and the three weeks our replacement 2010 Volkswagen wagon spent in the northern dealership trying to figure out why our car battery kept dying overnight- I was officially through with Volkswagen.
The dealership ‘s mechanic couldn’t figure out the problem and “solved” it by putting a kill switch that I was to turn on and off every time I needed my car. The kill switch was put in one of my fog lights, which was removed.
Now anyone living in northern Saskatchewan doesn’t have to use their imagination to imagine what would happen when I hit a snowdrift on the highway.
After charging me for the kill switch and realizing that the car still wasn’t driving right and knowing I would never again deal with our local VW dealership. I decided to take my car to Saskatoon Volkswagen...and that’s when I met Angela Hebert. First thing she noticed was me, in my heels and business attire, bending down to switch off my kill switch in a hollow fog light, full of slush and snow.
That just won’t do, she said:) and they wanted to accept the challenge of finding and fixing all my cars woes.
I am a territory manager and am on the road, a lot - about 5000km a month. Thus I needed a good reliable rental car while the repairs were being done.
Angela took care of that and put me up in a beautiful new Jetta.
It took Saskatoon Volkswagen less than 1 day to figure out the problem and many more problems that would have put me in jeopardy on the highways of Saskatchewan.
Not only that but Angela made sure that the $4000 of warranty work was done, at no cost to me. After having their rental car for two weeks, they would not let me pay for it. I asked why they had been so great to me, after all it was a 2010 used car.
She said they wanted my experience to be great and maybe I would be a lifetime client.
Thank you Saskatoon Volkswagen and Angela Hebert for restoring my faith in exemplary service and Volkswagen. I love my car and you have a customer for life!

We purchased a new 2018 Equinox in late March. On April 1st on the vehicles first road trip it failed and had to be towed home. Over several weeks as the Mainline shop staff dug into the problem with the vehicle ( it has roughly 250 kms on it) the problem began to turn into problems and it became evident to us this was not a vehicle we wanted any longer. Kevin and his staff at Mainline presented us with a proposal to take back the failed vehicle and get us a different new 2018 Equinox, which we have now taken delivery of. A huge thankyou to Kevin and his staff, they turned a very difficult situation for us into a happy ending. Very very pleased with the end result and thankyou to Kindersley Mainline !!!!

Unfortunately I couldn’t make a deal but Dawson was very helpful in trying to get me into a new truck without going over the payment amount I pay on my current truck. He was knowledgeable and despite being quite busy with several other customers he gave me the time to explore several different options and trucks. Would’ve liked to have driven away with a new truck but the experience was still pleasant and well worth my time.

I would first like to start by saying this is not my first run-in with these Goons. Some years ago that phone me saying that I was approved for a vehicle that I did not apply for financing on. Now despite this happening about a year later my girlfriend at the time required a vehicle and just so happened that they had one that fit the bill. So we decided to get it and finance. It was the worst decision ever as it set us back over $14,000 due to some shady paperwork apparently. Now some years later we're shopping again for another vehicle. Despite the horrible experiences that we've had in the past we figured that because we were not financing but rather paying for the vehicle and cash that it may be a different story so we decided to see what they had on the lot. The sales person directed us to some of the vehicles that were in our ballpark price range. He had explained to us that they were Bank repos and that they had no price tag and that they were sold based on offers that you give to the bank. So basically you offer the bank your best offer and the bank comes back with a counter. So after we found the car we gave the sales rep or best offer. He came out with the sales manager or something who was a really rude and unprofessional individual. His tone rate from square one was absolutely unacceptable. He basically made a mockery of our offer and told us that we were out to lunch and then continue to blame his sales rep saying that he was new and doesn't know what he's doing. These people have no class at all and it's too bad that that nice fella that was a sale rep has to deal with a xxxxxxxxx boss like that . On top of that while I was waiting for the sales rep and the manager there was another employee in the back screaming and saying profanity at someone on the other end of the phone as well as threatening them. This place is extremely unprofessional and extremely dirty. These guys are like greasy vacuum cleaner salesman and I would never recommend anybody ever deal with them on any level. These guys don't take no for an answer they were repeatedly try to Swindle you into one of their Shady Finance deals. I will never set foot on this property as long as I live and I will make sure that everybody I know is aware of how pathetic this dealership is.

I bought a BMW X5m from Saskatoon Barlow motors. Lol. The sales man took us for a scoot then went back to the dealership. I got out. Smelt oil. I said it has an oil leak. Sales manager said that they would take care of it. I said ok. So. Get the call and car is ready. So I bring it home. Tried it out on the 2.5 hour trip. I pulled into Macklyn and smoke was wafting from the hood and the cabin was very Smokey. Crawled under neath in the garage. The oil was all over the trans and the bottom of the car. Then I noticed the tires where worn right down to the wires on the rear tires. One shock was wet with oil. Not a pass for safety check. So they said they would take care of it. Thought it back. It went to modern motors in Saskatoon. Went to go get it and the right front plastic fender is cracked. So. It goes to Calgary to be fixed. Guy says it will be trucked on a trailer. It was driven. Comes back and it’s a xxxxty job. Some paint on the door and clearly see where the fix was. Dirt all in the paint. So it sat there for four months. Then they said they tow it off there property if I didn’t pick it up. So. I picked it up. Now for these issues I have bring it to BMW in Saskatoon. I have learned that Barlow brought the car to have it looked at the valve covers and turbo block was leaking oil. The work was declined. Then they brought it to modern motors. And fixed the bottom of the engine and replaced the left front driveshaft as I was complaining about a bad banging sound under hard acceleration. Now I have brought it to BMW and learn that the transfer case is pooched and Barlow knew about all the work required to fix it but didn’t do it. Don’t buy anything from these xxxxxx. The estimated cost to fix is $20000.00. The original sales guy now owns carget on 51st in Saskatoon don’t go there either.
