About 2 months ago, Leavens Mazda contacted me about trading in my 2023 Mazda CX5 Sport Model. They assured me that I would get top dollar. I made an appointment to see them after work. They offered me a brand new 2025 CX5 sport the exact same as what I had with my 2023. The first agreement looked good and I agreed & put down a deposit. This happened on a Friday. I looked it over on the weekend and found that they were not giving me a very good deal. I contacted them and told them that I was backing out on the agreement even if that meant losing my $200 deposit. Then all of a sudden they came up with a new agreement that was overall $ 4K better. I agreed and ended up with the new 2025. Part of the deal was to include an appearance package that had a rust protection module included. I briefly did look for the module and did not see one. Then after a couple of weeks, they contacted me and stated that the manufacturer of the rust protection module had a recall and I was to bring in my CX5 for a new module to be installed. Before I took it in I took pictures of the engine under the hood. No module was visible. After I took it in and got home, I looked under the hood and low & behold there was a rust module clearly visible. I took pictures. My question is, why did they not just state that the module I paid for was not installed and that they would make sure that was corrected? Instead they lied? Appears so. The other issue was that the balance owing on my 2023 CX5 was not paid off within a reasonable time. Leaven's insisted that a cheque was sent. After numerous phone calls to Leaven's and my bank, it was still not paid off after 4 weeks. I started an investigation with my bank, but needed information about the cheque and date sent etc. I contacted Leavens numerous times and only heard crickets. They were not very helpful. In the 5th week I was very agitated and went in to Leavens to push again for the information. After I mentioned "Lawyer" They ponied up with the information I needed. I gave my bank the details and within 2 days it was corrected. My credit rating dropped due to this and hopefully will come back up now. In short, beware of Leavens! Forest City Mazda will now be getting my business.

Purchased a CX-50 on June 2024, : Brought the car to the 2 year service, at 20000km, mostly highway driving and car sits in an indoor garage. Mazda wants to charge around $1800 saying brakes need to be replaced and it’s not covered by warranty since it’s past 1 year. They first told me I needed to replace the brakes and showed me an invoice. When I questioned it, they brought me to see the car, but couldn’t show me any real wear on 3/4 brakes. After a quick Google search, there are known issues with the brakes on this car and people are getting it covered through their warranty.

If you have any common sense DO NOT BUY from the dealership, bought a cx90 from them, while we negotiated on a price as stealership does always gotta find a way to make back the money some how, which in my case was upcharging me on gap insurance absolute crooks, day of delivery the car had low tire thread, I don't know how that pass safety, rear wipers were worned down, bunch of scratches and swirls, loads of excuses even after holding the car for a extra week for abs wire missing, missing rear air vents, the buy out for my trade was done but been paying for it even though I don't have the vehicle anymore, ZERO communication about what's going on with paying me back for those payments, just hopefully if your looking for a vehicle avoid the stealership by all cost just bad business

When we were negotiating the final price, they claimed their website had the incorrect price and increased the price by $2000. We decided to walk away only to discover the next morning the vehicle was sold and the original price was not changed on their website. There are a lot of less-than-honest car salesmen and this dealership has them in abundance.

I visited Westdowne Mazda on November 12 to have my wife’s winter tires installed and to address a heating issue in her vehicle. While the heating issue was resolved, we later discovered that the winter tires had not been installed and that the summer tires were still on the car. We noticed this issue on Monday, November 17. I understand that mistakes can happen, and human error is always possible. However, the experience that followed in trying to have this error corrected was extremely disappointing. I contacted the dealership numerous times throughout that week and left multiple messages. I had worked with Maria during my initial visit and left several messages for her without receiving any response. I also spoke with several receptionists, explained the situation, and requested to speak with a manager. I was told multiple times that I would receive a call back, but none came. It was not until Friday, November 28 that I was finally put in touch with a manager named Naiel. During this call, his tone lacked any meaningful apology despite the seriousness of the issue. I explained that I was concerned about my wife driving with summer tires as the weather was becoming colder and she did not feel safe. We agreed that the vehicle would be brought in the following morning, November 29, at 8:00 a.m., to have the winter tires installed. Although Naiel explained how the error occurred, there was still little acknowledgment or apology for the inconvenience. Having to bring the vehicle in on a Saturday and spend several hours correcting an error that should not have happened was far from ideal. I also had a separate appointment scheduled for December 12 to address a speaker issue in the vehicle. During the November 29 visit, I inquired about a possible discount for this upcoming service, which we agreed to discuss at the December appointment. That same day, my wife called the dealership twice and left messages for Naiel, hoping to hear directly from him about what had occurred. She did not receive a call back. When I returned on December 12 for the speaker repair, the only accommodation offered was a 13% discount on the speaker parts. More importantly, there was still no effort from Naiel or any member of management to offer a sincere apology for the earlier situation. I want to emphasize that this review is not about discounts. It is to inform others of the disappointing level of service we experienced. While mistakes can happen, there was a complete lack of accountability, communication, and urgency in resolving the issue. It took numerous phone calls over several weeks to have a straightforward mistake corrected. Based on this experience, I would strongly encourage others to think carefully before choosing this dealership if this is the level of customer service they can expect.
