What should have been a straightforward purchase turned into a very disappointing and misleading experience. I was very clear from the beginning that I wanted a clean deal with no unnecessary add-ons and the lowest possible total financed amount. Instead, the focus kept being on slightly beating another dealer’s payment rather than actually improving the structure of the deal. One of the most frustrating parts was how the refund on my existing Hyundai Protection Plan / warranty was presented. The impression I was given was that I would need to purchase a new, more expensive warranty product in order to properly make the refund work within the deal. After comparing elsewhere, another Hyundai dealer was able to handle the exact same situation much more transparently and simply by structuring the deal properly and offering a lower-cost option instead of pushing a more expensive product. That made it hard to trust that the advice I was being given was actually in my best financial interest. In the end, another Hyundai dealer was able to reduce my total financed amount by roughly $5,000 to $6,000 while also keeping the deal much cleaner and more transparent. That showed me that what I had asked for was possible all along. As a returning customer, that was frustrating to realize. My advice to others: do not focus only on the payment. Always ask for: • total amount financed • interest rate • full breakdown of add-ons • what is actually optional • how refunds, warranties, and credits are actually being applied A good dealership should help customers understand the full financial picture, not just sell a payment

I would strongly advise NOT purchasing or serving a a car at Grimsby Hyundai. While the sales experience was fine the overall customer experience was dreadful and concluded with being directly lied to about warranty and other items. The two times my wife and I visited the dealership to purchase our brand new car we were kept waiting well over an hour before being helped. When finalizing the deal the business manager boldly lied about our warranty to try and upsell us on an 11 hundred dollar add-on. When challenged to put it in writing refused to do so. I personally had to contact Hyundai Canada to confirm his baseless claims. Accessories and add on which we were confirmed would arrive and be installed in time still haven’t shown up a week later, and it has been radio scilence from management. Grimsby Hyundai is a great way to wreck the excitement of buying a new vehicle. Be warned!

The service at the parts desk is beyond atrocious. Was sold a defective rad cap on days prior and had documentation from mechanic showing it was defective. The part was 16 dollars to me and probably 5 for them. Over their 5 dollars they lost a service and parts customer and potential tucson buyer. They went from doing the return. To needing a 20 percent restock fee. To waiving the fee (if I had documentation of defectiveness). To showing documentation which was in car, to all of a sudden saying no returns..... wow. Said his manager said no. So I asked for manager. All of a sudden he was in a meeting within a minute. Said he called him in his meeting. So let me get this straight..... you were well aware of restock protocols and then proof to waive but called him up for no reason to be told not to return. Lol..... just goes to show this places morals and promises to stand by products. Anything for a dollar i guess. Its the principal of this situation which really gets me! I had many words for them at the time. Left speechless and baffled now......

First interaction was great, sales person was really responsive and gave out great information and service. Fast track after the contract was signed. Calls and texts weren't being responded to, car was delivered with missing equipment and running after them for over 2 months now. Spoke to GM and he doesn't care about his customers. Yes I love the car and the product ( this is my 4th Hyundai) but you won't see me buying another car from them, giving them any referrals or giving them money for service in my lifetime. I recommend giving your business to someone else.

Brought my car in for a $160 diagnostic after my mechanic documented low oil pressure (not low oil) and confirmed the warning light had been triggered. I was told it would take 2 hours — it took 7, with no updates despite multiple calls from me. I was told there was “no problem” and to just change the oil. The oil light started flickering again on my drive home. Extremely disappointing service, poor communication, and no resolution. I would not recommend this dealership.

Buyer beware. My experience with Stratford Hyundai felt sneaky and dishonest from start to finish. I did not feel treated fairly as a customer and would strongly recommend choosing another dealership. This is a warning to others.

Avoid. - Disgruntled

Avoid. Happy with my ionic5 but the service from the first point of sale to any follow-up has been terrible. Third time going back to have a simple part replaced that was faulty at purchase and covered under warranty and still not resolved. I will be taking my service needs elsewhere and recommend you do the same! Communication is terrible and not thorough. Car left dirtier than when I left it etc etc

I recently had my vehicle serviced at Downtown Hyundai Toronto, and unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. Communication from the service advisor was not clear or professional. There was very little explanation provided about the work being recommended. Each time I visit, additional issues are pointed out and presented as necessary repairs. While these may be genuine concerns, the explanations lack transparency, which makes it difficult to feel confident in the recommendations. Additionally, I was told the vehicle had been washed as part of the complimentary service. However, when I went to pick up the car, it was not washed, and I had to retrieve it myself from the parking area. There was no assistance bringing the vehicle to the front. When this was pointed out, there was no apology or acknowledgment of the inconvenience. I also had to wait an additional 10–15 minutes without clear communication. Overall, the lack of communication, transparency, and customer service was not what I expected. I hope management looks into improving customer experience and accountability.

The absolute worst service I have ever experienced. Totally non-responsive. Would not change a simple battery that was under warranty. Had my new Sante Fe towed there 3 times with a dead battery and would not change the battery. Guess what on the 4th time I towed it to Mountain Hyundai and they confirmed the battery was defective and this time it cost me $600. Hamilton Hyundai dragged their feet and simply waited until the warranty was finished. Hamilton Hyundai kept my car for a week and said just pick it up we don't know what's wrong with it. Just a simple battery swap would have kept me a loyal customer. Shame on them! Honda next time!

I was misled to purchase what I was told was a 2 year extended warranty in July 2024 expiring July 2026. Instead the 2 year warranty expires at 120 000 km and I purchased the vehicle with 94 000 km 10 months ago. I drive 30 000 km per year for work. So, it wouldn't make sense for me to purchase a two yr extended warranty for expiring at 120 000 km @ $1745.00. In addition they put tires on the car on pick up day that were 2018"s. These tires are expired. I have had to purchase two new sets of tires since buying this car. This isn't not right. Make it right Hyundai!

I had a very disappointing experience at Stouffville Hyundai, and I would not recommend this dealership. I visited to trade in my black 2020 Hyundai Sonata Preferred (81,236 km) for a red 2022 Sonata Sport (around 73,500 km), listed at about $18,798. I was completely transparent about my car having an accident listed on Carfax, and as I was told by the previous owner, it was only a front bumper replacement with no insurance claim. Initially, I dealt with a salesperson named Sam, who was fine during the test drive. But things quickly became frustrating afterward. Instead of giving me proper numbers, I was repeatedly asked how much I originally paid for my car — which is not relevant to determining trade-in value. I clearly said I wasn’t comfortable sharing that information. Then the sales manager, Shayne Sequeira, stepped in and continued asking the same question in a dismissive tone, which felt very unprofessional and pressuring. After waiting more than 30 minutes, they came back with a trade-in value of just $7,500 for my 2020 Sonata. This was shocking, especially considering other platforms like Clutch and CarDoor were offering me around $14,000 for the same vehicle. Overall, I wasted nearly 2 hours at the dealership plus another hour traveling, only to receive a lowball offer and deal with unprofessional behavior. I would strongly advise others to avoid this dealership and explore better options elsewhere.

Very poor follow up. If you are buying a used car outright they cannot make money as they would if paying in monthly payments. Had to call dealership multiple times to speak to sales rep, then call again for outcome of autobody repair after awaiting call back for 2 weeks. Feel like once they have your money, they do not know who you are, and make very little effort to help. Follow up needs to be 75% of a salesperson job. Maybe training is needed in this area.

And she listened to me which I appreciated it so much. I wasn't sure, if they will entertain me or take me seriously. When I know that they take me seriously that is when I decided to buy your car. Tre Parke was also very helpful and very patient with me. I asked so many questions but he did it very well. The finance lady (Shestin) did the same too.

Had my 2014 Crosstrek in for suspension service at Marostica Subaru prior to a long journey planned for this month for specialist healthcare reasons. I have never experienced such satisfaction. The mechanical team took such diligent care! The supporting staff was kind, attentive and welcoming. Even the owner took the time to see i was well cared for and doing well. Remarkable. The result was my humble little Subie came out with a treatment suitable for a creation of Ferruccio Lamborghini. The car drove like brand new, as well, i am rejuvenated. I shall never forget the kindness and attention i as afforded this day, and suggest it is not a great car but great after purchase care that makes for lasting satisfaction, and continued loyalty.
