I had the worst experience of my life at this dealership, - pt2141
I had the worst experience of my life at this dealership, and the dealer who assisted me was Timothy Lam. He treated me in an inhumane way—I felt like a tool for his business, not a customer. I really wanted a 2025 Forester, but since I’m a student and couldn’t make a decision immediately, I paid $1,000 upfront to hold the car. I also told him that I needed a few days to make up my mind and find the best insurance rate before making the payment, and he said there was no problem. However, just two days later, he started pressuring me intensely. I told him I was working hard on it, but he kept pushing me to buy. I also made it clear that I truly loved the car, but he completely ignored my situation. How can a dealer be this impatient? Even though I explained all the potential issues upfront, he didn’t say a thing at the time.
Because it ended up taking me too long to get everything sorted, I decided to cancel the purchase. A couple of weeks later, after I had finally arranged everything, I asked him if the same model was still available. He said no, but I could get a 2026 Forester. I told him that if he couldn’t offer the same discount, I would go to another dealership. His reply? Just one word: "Go." That was extremely rude. Instead of being rude, he could have tried to offer a discount or some other perks. On top of that, he claimed that he had sold all the same models in the entire GTA—but if that’s true, how am I able to find the same car at other dealerships? That’s dishonest. He spent most of his time pushing me and didn’t bother to share important information about the car, legal details I should have known, or the purchase process. This is highly unprofessional.
I strongly recommend staying away from this dealer.
