Visited Willowdale Subaru recently with the intention of exploring and potentially test driving a vehicle. Right from the beginning, the salesperson asked us, *"Are you buying today? If yes, then you can test drive."* We were shocked. How could we commit to buying a car without even seeing it or knowing the price, let alone driving it? When we expressed this, the salesperson reluctantly arranged a test drive — but with a visibly bad attitude the entire time. During the test drive, any questions we asked about the vehicle's specs were either met with "I don't know" or inaccurate, made-up information. It was clear he lacked product knowledge and had no interest in helping. After the test drive, we left and went to Markham Subaru instead, where we had a much more professional and respectful experience — and that’s where we ended up purchasing the car. This was one of the worst dealership interactions I’ve had. I would strongly recommend anyone considering Subaru to avoid Willowdale Subaru and take your business elsewhere. More

As a repeat customer at this dealership, I would expect that Management would not try to gouge customers - that was the feeling that I got when time came to sign the lease agreement. I was told that it was Management's decision to enforce the 1,399 Lease Waiver "Option" as a mandatory requirement for leasing the vehicles at this particular dealership. When I contacted Subaru Canada, I was told that it IS EACH DEALERSHIP's decision to enforce the Lease Waiver Plus and that Subaru Canada cannot overrule. Granted, the option was never taken off, but eventually they recommended that I take the Appearance Plus, because it was a better choice since I am planning to buy out the vehicle after 2 years. Given that I had no way to opt-out, I then took the Appearance package which extends 2 year extra than the Waiver (which is 3 year) on a 2-year lease. Very disappointed here. So I am writing this to let others know what you may be dealing with in coming to this particular dealership.
