I recently bought a 2018 Atlas at this dealership. I had no connections to anyone who works there so I randomly ended up dealing with Stacey Wright.
I’m a knowledgeable purchaser that is informed about pricing margins, equipment, add-on options/packages, and sales tactics. I’m confident and will never hesitate to walk away or haggle for an extra week if need be. I’m not a jerk when I negotiate, and I like to find a fair middle ground for both the salesperson and myself. We both have bills to pay. However, I have found that I have had to be extremely firm and fend off constant shady sales tactics when negotiating purchases from the various dealers in in Prince George over the years. For example, the last time I bought a truck from another dealership, the deal took two visits and about ten lengthy phone calls to close, lasting about a week in total. How many people would have caved in long before that and accepted an unfairly inflated price?
Dealing with Stacey Wright at this VW dealership was a breath of fresh air in comparison. She was honest, she offered a reasonable price, and she didn’t aggressively push particular options/packages that I feel are unnecessary and unduly expensive. I know sales people are required to push these options/packages because they are quite profitable but I think a trustworthy salesperson will do their duty (offer them) but won’t disrespect their customer by convincing them that they are needed or will save them buckets of money down the line.
I never give my opinion to a salesperson about these options/packages. Instead I use them as a litmus test to see if the salesperson is a straight shooter. Stacey passed with flying colours. It allowed me to feel confident about an additional option I did end up purchasing and the answers she provided to other questions I had.
Did I get the absolute lowest price I could have gotten on this Atlas? I’m pretty sure I didn’t. Did I walk away feeling like I got a fair price with good advice on other elements of the purchase that will significantly impact what I expect to be ten years of ownership of this vehicle? Definitely. To me, that’s the better deal because I’d rather be confident and secure with my purchase options long-term, than to haggle for an extra $800.
I’ve negotiated four vehicle purchases in Prince George to date and this is the first time that I’ve willingly let a significant margin slide. I really enjoyed the purchasing experience with Stacey and felt like she deserved it. This was further confirmed to me when she gave the “send-off vehicle tour” of the Atlas after we closed the deal and I was about to drive off the lot. I was truly impressed with her knowledge of this new model and attention to communicating important details. She’s clearly done her homework and is invested in her job.
I would recommend Stacey to every kind of buyer. She’s fair, honest, knowledgeable, and enjoyable to deal with.

Worse Service and refusal to fix what they have broken - Nolan1
Without a doubt the most pathetic experience ever at an attempted tune up!!!! We took our VW Jetta in for a routine Service we were told if we waited it would take an hour, we waited after an hour they told us our car was not ready and offered a trip to a local place to eat which we accepted.....Long story short after being stranded (as they had no car to pick us up) they managed a pick up half an hour after we called. Got back the car was still not ready, eventually we were told the car was ready, it had not been washed and the initial problem (side light out) could not be fixed as it was broken and could not be fixed under warranty....We pointed out the only person to touch it was the Service person, their response was it will cost you two hours labor + the price of parts (I will be returning there to contend this at the Weekend)....BUNCH OF MONEY GRABBING COWBOYS!!!!! AVOID THIS SERVICE AREA LIKE THE THE PLAGUE!!!!!

this dealer traded my truck in for a jetta. told me they took care of the lien on the truck. 2 years later my jetta is written off in an accident. they secretly put a lien on the jetta claiming they lost money on the truck and are holding my insurance settlement hostage to shake me down for $17k.

Came here to trade in my wife's car for a new Passat and just wanted to leave this review.
I have purchased many new cars in the past and I have to say hands down this was the best experience ever. No pressure and we were able to come to a very fair deal. Very upfront with the costs after we negotiated and no hidden costs on my way out either. I really dislike dealerships that are pushy and high pressure and this place wasn't like that at all. I will definitely recommend this dealership to my friends and co-workers. I first went to Harbourview VW in Nanaimo because they were closer but they didn't want to give me the time of day. Comox Valley VW is truly a A+++ dealership and VW Canada should be proud. I'm going to purchasing a vehicle for myself next year, Jetta GLI, and will be coming here first.

Regency Volkswagon be aware of Service Department ! - Louisa B
I recently bought a used car from Regency Volkswagon for my 17 daughter to drive after having purchased our last two cars from there.
After one month of owning the car we noticed that there was excessive brake dust on the front tires and the brakes did not seem right.
As safety is the of the utmost importance in a a car and especially when your child is driving it we took the car into the Regency service dept.
The car had a pre-inspection before we purchased it and we believed what we had been told had been done as actually done.
After inspection we were told that the brakes were good and the dust was because this model/age of golf was built for German roads and that was the reason for the excessive brake dust. ( not quite sure what that meant as we have to other Volkswagon cars with no brake dust issues) Not feeling satisfied with the result I took the car to my mechanic of 18 years to inspect the car.
On inspection he found that one of the front callipers was twisted and had been installed wrong, which damaged the front right flex hose, the brake fluid was black and needed a complete system flush. None of this was reported to me by Regency a few days earlier when they inspected the car. I had heard horror stories from friends about the service department at Regency but having just paid $15,000 a few weeks earlier for the car I felt it was important that I went back to them to correct the problem. That was my biggest mistake !! Had these items not been detected by my mechanic I don't want to think about the possible consequences of my daughter driving this car. The money that I paid to have this corrected is minimal to what the outcome might have been.
I will never purchase or service another vehicle at this dealership again!
Lying to customers - GoldMonk
I brought my car in after a rear rim and tire sustained minor damage, as I had purchased protection insurance, I was told no problem, we’ll replace the rim. I was then told by the service technician that they were unable to put a new rim on a damaged tire. After weeks of delays, price misquotes (price for a new tire went from $200 to $450) and attempts at up selling (encouraging me to buy 4 winter tires at for the low low price of $2400) I finally told the service centre to put the damaged rim back on the damaged tire and that I would take my car elsewhere. Low and behold magically they were now able to put a new rim on a damaged tire. In addition to this, I received a call from the dealership just last week telling me how they had an unnamed (and likely imaginary) customer who was interested in purchasing a pre owned version of my car and were wondering if I would interested in purchasing yet another car from them. This after I received no response from either VW or the dealership after filing a complaint related to the first debacle. I tell anyone and everyone who will listen to avoid this dealership, practices such as outright lying to a customer and continued attempts at up-selling should not be rewarded
