Recently brought my Santa Fe back to Brantford Kia as I have been experiencing trouble with my transmission. I have had the vehicle for just over a year now, and had noticed a couple of concerns regarding the transmission when I first bought it. I was assured that it had been looked over by a transmission specialist and there were no concerns. A year later, and it is now slipping gears and making a loud BANG noise when I am reversing into a parking spot, or turning left. I was very concerned for mine and my daughters safety. I originally took it to Canadian tire for a diagnosis and a work order was written up. Because I have a warranty, I took it then to Brantford Kia.
I dropped my Santa Fe off to them 2 weeks ago and had requested a loaner car as I am not living in Brantford. Conner told me they didn’t have a lot of loaners currently, but I was assured the car though it was older, was sanitized and would get me “from a to b”.
The car I received was an absolute mess. Not only did it have over 219000 km on it, but the engine light was on, it was dented, scratched, the seats were stained, the car was filthy, the a/c didn’t work, one of the back windows wouldn’t go down, and it sounded like the ball joints needed replacing. I was embarrassed and disgusted by this as I had my 9 yr old daughter with me and felt very unsafe in the car.
The day after dropping my car off, I was told by Connor that there was nothing wrong with it. It had been taken for a test drive and no issues were experienced with the gears changing. I asked about the other issues I had mentioned that were on the work order, such as the loud bang. Connor seemed confused and said he would ask and call back.
3 days later my hubby called to ask about the status as we hadn’t heard back. He was told again that the car had been taken for a drive and no issues were reported. He asked why the work order from Canadian tire that stated the issues hadn’t been looked at. Again, assured there were no issues other than a leak from one of the drive axel gaskets. He was told that warranty would be contacted to see if it was covered but no other work would be done.
Another week went by without communication, and I was very frustrated at this point and driving around in a very unsafe car with my daughter. I contacted Kia again and was told that the gasket would be covered by Kia and they were waiting for the part. I then told Connor that I would be by to pickup my car later that day as it was clear that my concerns were not being addressed. I knew that my car had sat for 2 weeks at Kia with nothing diagnosed even though it was covered by warranty. Connor politely said ok it will be ready.
The customer service I received here was appalling. I felt manipulated, unheard and disrespected. I will never recommend this place to anyone

The Sale Rocky kept lying over and over again.
I put down the deposit in Dec and was told that I will receive the VIN the day after. 6 months later, I still do not have the car (nor the VIN) and the dealership doesn't reply to my email and even hang up on me when I call in to ask about the status.

Service department has made recommendations not required. I took my car to another well established shop who confirmed that my front brakes had 5mm and not the 2mm KIA told me. I was also informed that the timing belt did not need to be replaced like KIA had told me. I will never be taking my car back to the dealership again and in all likelihood I will never purchase a vehicle from this establishment again nor will the rest of my family.

They provided us a quote over the phone and said they do not email quotes.
When we got to the store, the salesperson that provided the quote confirmed the figure she gave us. But the manager offered a price that was $3200 more. When we referred to the quote that was already provided he asked us for an email.
While talking he inadvertently admitted that they provide low prices so that "the customers will visit us to discuss options."
Well, this customer bought elsewhere for a better price from someone who kept their word.

I have an issue that is covered by an extended warranty - they confirmed it is a covered issue with the oil pressure switch (leaking oil everywhere)
they told me a fix wasn't ready yet, and they would call me back when i could get the work done - and in the meantime, just top off the oil.
Never heard back - so after a few weeks I called them - 4 or 5 times - with nobody from service EVER picking up the phone or returning my numerous voicemails.
Finally someone called me back, who gave me ZERO answers and told me to wait for more paperwork (which turns out wouldn't even come, because KIA is equipped and authorized to do the fix, as they were all along)
I called them back one more time to set up an appointment - no pickup, went to voicemail - I hung up, called Belleville Kia instead, and they gave me an appointment with zero hassle.
I will no longer go to Kingston Kia - I'd rather drive an hour to Belleville to get work done.

I had a good experience when I initially entered into the lease (that salesperson is no longer there). I am paying out my lease in a couple of weeks and will NEVER deal with Kia again. We have had ongoing problems with door motors that were never dealt with and then once it was out of warranty they said they already replaced the motor - which I do not believe actually happened. The repair ended up costing me $850 and even the mechanic we dealt with refuses to order parts from this dealership as he has apparently had nothing but problems when he had in the past. I will be SO happy to be done with this dealership. Never again.

I bought a 2020 Kia Sorento in July and ordered the winter tire package for $ 1100 plus tax. I asked what kind of tires they would be and was told they would be a brand name but couldn't tell me what brand because they would be buying them in bulk when fall comes around . I made an appointment and had them installed this week .the the tires were Eternity brand which I had never heard of
( its a Chinese tire that Michelin has a 40% interest in) none the less tires and rims in that brand can be purchased for about $800 for my vehicle from a small garage . to add insult to injury the bill I received was $49 for past storage and an additional $ 39 to put them on the vehicle . After complaining they waived the charges but now I'm skeptical to deal with the service department at KIa

What I got was a refusal to check the rattle and an oil change so bad that it leaked all over my driveway.
To make matters worse the service manager refused to respond to numerous requests from me.
I wish the ratings started at zero because that better describes my experience.
I'd never buy or service my vehicles at that place ever again!

Brought in our Kia to get the control rods and ball joints replaced.
We had the car serviced a week and a half earlier at Windsor Hyundai
where they did point out the issue of the compromised ball joints but was able to do the wheel alignment and brought all the alignment true with the exception of the L/R camber which was out by 0.5 within exceptable limits.
So when we brought in our car to Kia with replacement parts they one overcharged us on the total repair time but the worse of it is that after replacing the control rods and ball joints they threw out the alignment to a point prior when it was even touched for the first time.
Windsor Hyundai got the alignment almost true on bad ball joints.
Gus Revenberg Kia completely screwed the alignment after replacing the control rods and ball joints to a point prior to the suspension was even touched. They used a completely xxxxxxxx excuse for this reason....
Avoid these jokers at all costs... we're grugingly going back to Windsor Hyundai till I can find a honest competant mechanic.

Called the dealership and the told me to go fly a kite. Horrible Service!!!!!!! All this place wants is your money. Until they get it they are your best friend. Once they have it they treat you like garbage. Don't go there.

They literally (albeit politely) refused to let me on a test drive, because according to them, "going from a Mercedes to a Kia will only disappoint you". Why should you care my reasons for considering a Kia? And if you're going to lie to my face, at least come up with some better more believable excuses.

As electric cars become more common, I think people will discover that finding a dealership that can be relied on is very difficult due to the new technologies involved. So if people need a dealership that is great with electric cars, I have had nothing but excellent customer/technical service from Orangeville Kia. I bought my 2020 EV there and they also are very fair about pricing.
