Dropped by without a service appointment to my favourite dealershio, Sterne Acura, because of a “low tire pressure” warning on my MDX. I was nervous as I had a long drive North to Collingwood ahead of me and Mother Nature had just dumped half a foot of snow the night before.
I got a warm welcome from Russ who told me to drive right in and he would check out my tires. With all tires filled and a top up on windshield washer fluid I was off again on my journey in no time. Thanks so much for helping me out!

Had an accident with my Cayenne S recently and the dealership and body shop have been outstanding. They are handling issues with the insurance company, ensuring we get all the quality service, parts, body work and damage inspections we really need. The work is ongoing, but based on this and my prior experiences with Marks, I wouldn't even think about going anywhere else for my Cayenne's ongoing care.

My 2016 Hyundai Elantra was in a minor accident (front bumper and fog lights), my dealership recommended the Collision Centre. The Insurance appraiser looked at my car on a Thursday afternoon, the parts were ordered, came in on Monday and I had my car back Wednesday!They even detailed the inside of my car! Mauro was friendly, courteous, great customer service! I would definately recommend them!
Overcharged and dealer agrees...but still waiting for refund - KG
If you have used Pickering Acura in the past 2 years to service your vehicle(s) then you want to check your invoices for accuracy (the problem may go back further but I was not getting my vehicles serviced here). If you have seen the invoices you know they are not simple to read with so many line items etc. and I always assumed that I was being charged what I the invoice showed in the quote BUT THAT WAS NOT THE CASE.
When I took my vehicles in for service such as a Maintenance B the invoice quotes $249.95 + HST and Fees but when you add up all the line items that go into the final amount your charged the total I was charged was $258.38 + HST and Fees. Now you may say so what for a difference of $8.43 + HST but on a % basis I was charged 3.4% more than what was quoted selling price - so for every $1,000 you spend on service your charged an extra $34 for nothing! BUT THIS IS NOT THE BIGGEST PROBLEM - review your bills closely and look for the Environmental Fees, not only are you charged them on the individual service items (i.e. included in the Maintenance B package for example) but be careful that they are not also charging it to you a second time on the last line item of your invoice (these fees ranged from $6.11 to $26.92 on 6 invoices I questioned the dealer about).
In the end the average error on the invoices I looked at was 3.3% (i.e. - I was charged 3.3% more than I should have been) and I have been dealing with the service manager for over 2 months to get my refund. The manager has acknowledged that there are errors and offered a service credit but the problem was it was for only roughly 1/2 of the amount I was overcharged because they did not look at all my bills - I had to send them a complete calculation (in excel to make it simple) but have been waiting almost 3 weeks with no word (I suspect they will respond to this review on a timely basis!).
The lesson learned is that in the end don't trust that the "system" or "process" is working - when you get your bill take the 10 minutes to look it over and add it up in the dealership - it could save you hundreds of hard earned $'s.

JULY 30TH UPDATE - interestingly enough (as I suggested above) I received an email today from the manager apologizing for delay in responding to me and promising to make things right. Will update once again when something substantial happens
Bad service experience - Davindra
I was lead to believe that my vehicle was going to be repaired under a recall after speaking to Acura Canada. I took it to Policaro Acura where they diagnosed it and sent me a email with the diagnosis. After speaking to Acura Canada it turns out they sent a completely different report to them. You can’t trust Acura Canada or Policaro Acura.
Zero Empathy on Oil Consumption issue - AB
My 2012 MDX is burning oil at a rate of 1L/2560KM. There is a recall for this problem (google "Acura oil consumption"). Camco simply closed my file and said it was within range. I will now need to check oil at every 3rd fill up on a so-called premium brand vehicle. Brutal.

I will NEVER trust their pricing again after their Quicklane Service tried to charge me double!! Although I had heard negative things, I have dealt with Highland Ford and their Quicklane Service for the last 8 years and was content...until this year.
When I called the Highland Ford Quicklane Service, they made an appt and when I showed up, they said I had no appointment (I thought it was odd that I asked "don't you want my name" when making the appt). They took the vehicle anyways and when I picked up, tried to CHARGE ME ALMOST DOUBLE!!! When I spoke up and asked about the pricing, the individual (believe it is the new manager) first mentioned an even higher price, then put in the right price ($78.) with no apology. I asked why he tried to charge me $130, I was told "miscommunication". Really? Miscommunication trying to charge customers double, then raising the price again before putting in the right amount.
I went over and reported to Highland Ford service manager (highland Ford owns this Quicklane). I also wrote to the dealership owner and informed Highland Ford on their "follow up call to rate the service".
Guess what I have heard back from the owner or dealership...NOTHING!!
I will NEVER buy a vehicle here as they clearly dont appear concerned with customer feedback or their own people attempting to charge customers double for service so what does that say about their pricing?
Buyer BEWARE...I now believe what others have told me....I CAN'T recommend them as I no longer trust them or their prices!!!

The damaged my car during service, made it sound like it was my problem, fixed it poorly then wouldn't fix it a second time. I've got to find someone else to repair it. I live close by but will never take my 2 Acuras there again.

this has to be WORST SERVICE department i have ever dealt with in my 30 years of owing cars. not only do the service advisers all have a big attitude, they also tend to confuse you & stretch the truth (some people would call it lying) in order to get more of your money .... on top of that the mechanics don’t seem to know what they’re doing because more than once I had MORE problems with my car after the service visit. When I called them out on that and escalated to the Director (?) of the service department I ended up being verbally threatened and intimidated … not a pleasant experience at all …. Needless to say that I won’t be going to back ……

Had my 2005 TL for wheel alignment few weeks ago, everything went great, so I thought maybe I can do a recall that is on the car, I have own this car since new, and take very good care of it, know it very well, anyways took to the dealer, car has been rust check in the past, job was to replace power steering hose, which access is not easy, have to lean on both top portion front fenders, first issue was the rust check at the fire wall, they want to pressure wash it, I disagree, the job continued, with no guarantees for some old fluid dripping, had no issue with it. at the pickup did not due any walk around to check for any damages or scratches, big mistake, next day I noticed scratches on top portion of both fenders were technician would be leaning on to do the job, when I called the service, spoke to a assistance service manager name David Harris. write of the bat I was put in the situation were the damage was not done at the dealer, very rude and compulsive individual, at some point have said that I will take this to a higher level, (I meant to his boss) right away he accused me that I'm threatening him, I was speechless, arrive at the dealer, could not believe at the customer service that I got from this individual, right away I was accused that damage was done by rust check people, there was no point talking to him, went to talk to service manager Steve A. went outside inspect the car, called body tech to buff the scratches out, when I tried to confront him regarding the customer service, right away I was accused by him that I approached David very rude, anyways I did not want to continue the conversation.
Bottom line the customer service doesn't exist on their side, a specially from Dave Harris, very rude individual, I lived in States for a while and customer service is number one there, if you come back with a complain they will take care you very well and with respect, these people should go for some training there, but I guess this is how is done in Canada at Acura of Oakville. I’m can work with everybody, but I will not put up with this kind of treatment and service!
Will never take or advise anybody to take their car there.
