Wife and I found Andrei along with all other employees involved in the sales of the car to us to be friendly, helpfull and entertaining.Good job to all.
An outstanding sales experience. - CPOMorty
I helped my youngest son purchase a new Nissan Rogue a few months back. The sales experience at West End Nissan was excellent.
When we arrive we were greeted by a manager, Ali. This was probably just a timing thing, but we explained that we were there doing research and to take a test drive, and that we would not be making a purchase for 2 or 3 months yet. The manager asked his salesman, Mark Bartsch to assist us.
Mark asked us a few questions and talked a little about Nissan and ownership of these vehicles. I asked some detailed questions and I don't recall a single question about the vehicle that Mark could not answer. He was extremely knowledgeable about the vehicle and took us out for a test drive in the model we were looking at.
After we left Mark contacted my son 2 or 3 times over the next few months. My son confirmed when he was still planning to make his purchase and Mark kept him up to date on the current special offers from Nissan. My son said that at no time did he fell any pressure from Mark to make an immediate purchase.
I also spoke with Fred Bailey, one of the sales managers. Fred was dealing with an irate customer on the phone, and because of the proximity to Marks's desk, we overheard much of the conversation. Fred has the patience of a saint and was continuously polite and courteous to the customer, who was obviously being so rude.
Overall Mark was an excellent person to deal with. He was knowledgeable, courteous and respectful at all times. He was the epitome of a sales professional and I would highly recommend him as the person to see if you are looking to purchase a new Nissan in the Edmonton area.
Also note that the 3 star rating is due to the service department, not the sales department.
Outstanding positive experience based on honesty and trust! - Keith Gilbert
I read lots of reviews but rarely ever leave one. My experience with McDonald Nissan in Lethbridge, Alberta is one that cannot be left without sharing. If you’re not into reading much, or time is too precious, I’ll summarize things in one paragraph:
The McDonald Nissan dealership is a one where a customer, no matter what they’re interested in --- a new Nissan or a used vehicle of another make --- will feel like they are the most important person on the lot! From the salespeople, to the finance folks, to the owner himself, each interaction was professional, friendly, and I always felt listened to and respected. If you’re looking for honest, trustworthy people who truly do care about you and your vehicle purchase, then look to the McDonald Nissan dealership.
I hope you are still reading because I would like to explain my personal experience in a bit more detail. To emphasize how positive the relationship was, and how well the dealership handled things, it should be known that I purchased a used vehicle from McDonald Nissan from over 1600 kms away! I never saw the vehicle in person or met the folks at the dealership until the day I drove and flew there from a few provinces away! That is what I call TRUST!
Each communication was promptly and professionally handled by the sales consultant, Rob Thomson; every concern or request I had, Rob quickly dealt with it. I truly felt what he was telling me was honest and accurate. When it came to the financial dealings, Glen Pottinger was both helpful and patient(!) with me. This dealership went above and beyond my expectations and it was by far the best experience I’ve ever had with a dealership! The owner himself, Paul McDonald, personally contacted me on numerous occasions to assist me in getting the vehicle back to my home province. After many frustrating and unsuccessful days attempting to secure a transit permit, Paul messaged me well after business hours to provide a solution. He likely still doesn’t know how much stress he removed that night! Going the extra distance, these folks met me at the airport, brought me to the dealership and treated me like an honoured guest. Sounds melodramatic, but that’s how I felt! The vehicle was everything they said it was and I truly expected nothing less because of the trusting relationship they had created. I arrived home driving my ‘new’ used vehicle two days later and am so pleased I took the chance of purchasing it from such a distance. Thank you Rob. Thank you Paul. Hats off to McDonald Nissan for making this purchase not only possible, but such a positive experience!
Awesome!! - Gwen

Excellent Service at Brasso Nissan - Satisfied Customer
Rod Stein provided excellent service. He answered all of the questions we had regarding the Nissan Rogue. His assistance and no pressure approach made the purchase of the car much more enjoyable. Our deal went through quickly and smoothly. Everyone at the dealership was friendly and helpful. This is the second vehicle we have bought from this dealership and we would come back again.

bad customer service - Serg I
This dealership is an absolute disaster. We moved to Edmonton from the USA. We chose to finance a car at this dealership, because we have been loyal Nissan customers in the US, and also the dealership had 4+ stars in reviews. Sales team made efforts to get us the lowest interest on the new car (7%) as they said, which was explained by the absence of a credit history in Canada. I appreciate that but I know there are car loan programs in Canada for newcomers that help defray interest costs. Having 0% interest in the USA when we first bought our car with 0 credit history there, 7% in Canada was a bit of a shock. Giving 10,000 Canadian dollars for downpayment - roughly third of the car's cost - should have helped getting a better interest rate, but it didn't. Now, after almost a year of paying the loan with diligence, we want to refinance the current loan with Nissan bank. We thought that should have been easy as 1-2-3, given our boost in credit score up to 800, but it's not working. The sales manager explained that in order to refinance, we would need to pay the remainder of the loan and then sell it back to Nissan to apply for a new loan with a lower interest rate. Sounds ridiculous, right? If we had money to pay the loan all at once, why would we take another loan? The other option I suggested was to deposit another $10,000 towards the loan and lower the monthly payment which is not possible as well. The manager offered to contact other banks in the area and apply for personal loans. After doing research, it is clear that banks do not offer lower rates because it is not long-term like a house loan, so they don't make much money out of it. This is a weird situation when we have the ability to lower our loan rate, but we can't.
Service department is even a larger mess. We have oil change package with them, so we came a few times for that service. Every time I made an appointment online or through the phone, something wrong happened - either the system error didn't record the appointment or there was no shuttle available even though we requested it. A shuttle driver is a separate story as well. Not only he is grumpy, he doesn't wear seat belt while driving!!! There was a lady at the reception who was rude, messy and grumpy as well. I think she doesn't work anymore. We had some issue with sunroof and we had to leave a car for a few days to inspect. It turned out that we waited for 2 weeks to get it back, because when a technician was repairing one part he was accidentally breaking other parts, so they needed to order them and wait until they arrive, Another negative was that he left marks on the interior leather, and by the way, they never wash your car after service, not even a splash of water. Waiting times are also ridiculous. It is an average of 3 hours for a regular oil change, if you are not lucky enough to get a shuttle. They take a lot of orders and don't seem to have many technicians. Also, it turned out that we have factory defects with the sunroof, and recently we have received a factory recall letter about ABS.
The bottom line is we have a one-year old car with factory defects. We are paying 7% interest on this car for the next 5 years and have a terrible service on it. I would NOT recommend this dealership for any business. We are looking for other dealerships to be serviced at.

Would give zero stars if it was an option. I purchased my... - Kdainard.23
Would give zero stars if it was an option. I purchased my new vehicle near end of August 2019. All of the incentives I was told about and offered-still waiting for! They refuse to call back, make excuses and say they will call back. Mark is the definition of a sleazy car salesman that people warn you about. Free gas for a year signage all over the dealership, he explains it to me, says my cheque for it will be mailed out at the end of the month, this was aug 24th, so supposed to be mailed out aug 31st. Didn’t receive it, started calling him in mid September, he kept telling my husband and I he would get back to us, his manager wasn’t in. He never called us back. Finally got ahold of the manager, Andy. He said he has no record of these offers, the free gas for a year, $150 service gift card and the roadside kit. Says that salesman Mark “misplaced” the offer sheet so I have no record of it. Told me that free gas for a year promotion wasn’t on in August only in October and if Mark told us that and we are pursuing it then he would have to fire Mark. I said the signage was all over the dealership, and he explained it to me and we both signed the offer sheet that Andy also signed so yes, I want what I agreed to. He had to talk to his boss. He called me back and said he was sending out my cheque for $2100 the next day along with the roadside kit and the $150 will be on my account to spend whenever I came in. A week later I called back. Andy no longer works there. My husband asked to speak to someone in charge. Salesman Mark gets on the phone. Says the cheque is still there and he will send it out next day. Two weeks later and still no cheque. Last Thursday, called and talked to finance guy, Glen. He says cheque is still there. He will send it out in the morning. That was a week ago. Still nothing. Called him tonight and receptionist says he’s busy and will call me back. Never heard back from him.
The salesman filled out the customer service questionnaire on his tablet when I purchased the vehicle while I was waiting for the financing and said if I sign this tablet giving him a good review he would send me a gift in the mail. I signed it because at that point I was satisfied with my service and I never received anything from him for that.
Also, only received $5000 for my trade in vehicle after salesman, manager and I all signed off agreeing to $6000. The day of the trade in, manager says oh I’m only giving you $5000 because of the hole in the bumper and I had told and shown the salesman the hole before we agreed on $6000. I will never purchase from Lloydminster Nissan, or any Nissan dealership after this experience. I have told all my co worker, friends, and family about my experience so that they don’t buy anything there either. I Have told Nissan Canada and contacted the better business bureau to report this.
I actually do like my vehicle and am satisfied in choosing the Pathfinder but unfortunately will never purchase a Nissan product again because of the terrible customer service
Charges doc fees over and above the advertised price - Carl
While illegal, this dealership wanted to charge me $479 for documentation fees over and above the advertised $12,800 that was advertised for the used vehicle I was interested in. This violates current legislation in Alberta. For some reason they don’t think the rules apply to them. I mentioned to the sales guy that I thought the advertised price had to include all fees but he lied and said that only applied to new vehicles.
Just google Royal Oak Nissan and W5. This dealership was part of a sting in 2017 where their shifty practices were exposed.
If you need a Nissan you might have to use them but beware of their dishonest practices.
Very bad experience GM name Jason he done the deal our... - Shuaibks
Very bad experience GM name Jason he done the deal our the phone and we agreed on the numbers what I’m looking.. so he asked the deposit our the phone I give him my credit card number and he withdrew 500$ for a deposit of the car, when I go to finalize my car he told me we never agreed to that numbers and he make me fool and also his finances Maneger Selena forced me to buy extended warranty when I trying to decline or refuse she said if you’re not gonna buy the extended warranty bank will not Going to approve you because bank want to see the extended warranty. When I ask my friend about this they told me the finance manager doing fraud is considered fraud nobody forced you to buy warranty and bank don’t care about the warranty.I have all proofs and everything in my text message about the numbers we agreed so when I told him I’m not feeling comfortable and I’m not buying from u give my 500$ back , he refused to pay my money and told me do whatever you want to do .
And also last year I send one customer to buy a vehicle from there and he bought the vehicle and they promised me to give me $200 for Refral so when I go back to them and ask my money for $200 they said we put $200 against your loyalty program so you can buy whatever you want to buy from here they didn’t give me my $200 that was so weird
