So i bought a new 2017 hyundai accent and the service or sales department was great, becuase they wanted my bussines, after i brought my vehicle in for services that was a whole other story, everytime i brought it in they tried to get money out of me, i said no its under warranty, oh but theres diagnostics that we need to perform so sign here pls, and again i said no its under warranty, so any ways like i said they were constantly trying to make money from every visit, i had an issue with my drivers side power window switch, it was broken and you could feel this in the switch, so i called and told them and booked it in, and again they said there may be diagnostic charges on this, lmao and again i said no it should be under warranty, well they gave me a big speal how they need to verify this, and i said i understand that but there wont be, all you have to do is take 2 seconds and feel the switch and try to operate the power window, you will know its broken and its not working properly. and so i asked them if they had the part in stock and they of course said no, so i asked if they could order it to save time for both of us, and they said they dont operate like that and they needed to diagnose it first, so i said listen ive been a mechanic for 25 years, pls order the part, and they refused, so anyway they said they needed to book the car in for half the day, lmfao again, so i said ok. so when the day came to look at the vehicle i got them to drop me off by courtesy vehicle, and within an hour they called me back and said you can come and get your vehicle and we willl book you in once we get the part, so i said see now im having to make another appoinment for something that could of been diagnsoed and fixed in under an hour, typical steelership practice. so when i came to pick up my vehicle and i asked so how did you diagnose it, did you do a resistance check or voltage drop or pull the switch out to inspect for corrosion? and he said no i just pushed on the switch, this was my reaction hahaha so i said i could of waited here and you could of done that in 2 seconds but instead you made me go home and come back and make another appoinment, i said wow! so anyway we made another appoinment to get it fixed and i was out of the vehile for another half day. and the sad part is due to the crappy sevice and attitude i get every time i deal with these hyundai dealers, i refused to buy another vehicle from them again and issue after issue after issue, i have another review i wrote on here about the country hills hyundai dealer, regarding oil changes, and the nightmares i experienced from them, i made sure that the sales team knew that there xxxxty service department cost them another new vehicle sale, and i bought a toyota instead. i highely recomend people go with toyota or honda for future new or used vehicle purchases. After you buy a vehicle the service you get is just as if not more important then the service you get during the buying process, this is where you determine what kind of dealership you have just sank your hard earned money into. what these dealer ships dont seem to understand is that by providing great service beyond the purchase can sometimes determine if they will recieve your bussiness for life! it goes beyond one vehicle sale! and word of mouth is very important i realize they cant make everyone happy, but the customers that keep coming back are there bread and water, so we should be treated decently. PERIOD!!!!
