"Dealership doesn't care about existing customers"

Customer # 149274 I was at the dealership on 2019 Mar 23 for a service appointment. Weather was foggy and I live around 23 km away from the dealership. I wanted to wait at the waiting area due to the fog. Service Adviser insisted me to go home due to the wait times for the vehicles before me. I did write my SW Edmonton address on the address board. Driver Wendy approached me, as I sat with her in her vehicle and told her I live in SW Edmonton, she started to panic. She thought I live in Sherwood Park that's why she picked me. She called another driver and dropped me back at the dealership. Another driver approached me and stated it will be difficult to be picked up on time due to the shortage of drivers, weather etc. I spoke to the Service Adviser again and told him that I would prefer to wait here instead going home. Initially, Service Adviser stated there will be couple of hours wait and then stated vehicle could be ready in an hour. I waited in the waiting area. The elderly gentleman, second driver complained to me that every Saturday is always busy, we are only two drivers, we have told the management to have one more driver etc. Being a customer I did not need to know that. Now I come to my main concern, My vehicle was detailed around two weeks before. Outside of the vehicle was not clean but inside was clean when I brought the vehicle to the dealership. Except me, sitting at the driver side no one else entered my vehicle since the detailing was done. When I returned home, I was removing some stuff from the back seat, I noticed shoes marks on the rear seat and the shoes marks behind the driver's seat, not only that some dirt was noticed on my vest that I left on the back seat and on my name badge too. The shoe size seemed small and it appeared it was a short worker from the dealership who did that.  That is my major concern the staff not only made my vehicle, my clothes dirty, I have doubts what type of work these people have performed on my vehicle that has around 10000 km on it.  I could expect that type of service from a corner workshop but not from a dealership and I have never received that type of service at any dealership workshop.  I submitted the above message to Sherwood Park Toyota website contact us page also I sent the same message to Blake, sales guy who sold me the vehicle from the dealership. Not to my surprise, no-one bothered to respond back to me. On 2019 Mar 28, I called the dealership and spoke to a female manager (forgot to get her name). I raised my concerns and only solution found was that she will talk to the service technicians. I already have a negative review on Google reviews about my previous experience at the dealership. I could not manage to post another review unless I could edit the first one. One manager wrote a cover reply to my Google review but did not bother to contact me as they have my contact information.

"I wonder where my winter tires and rims are?"

I purchased a GMC Equinox form Sherwood Park Toyota in April of 2018. On November 23, I brought it in for an oil change and to have the winter tires and rims, I purchased with the vehicle placed on the vehicle. When I arrived to pick up my vehicle, I was told that they "lost my tires from their storage area" but would search for them and get back to me. After having waited a week, I phoned back on November 26th and left a message with service. On November 28th, I received a call from service advising that they had not forgotten about me, were still looking for my tires, would speak to the sales Manager and get back to me. I again waited patiently to get a call however on December 7th, I phoned again and was transferred to the man who sold me the vehicle. Mark advised me that he didn't know what happened to my tires as he had labelled them properly and when they were removed from in front of his desk, he assumed they were stored. He however did tell me he was "on it" and would get back to me...... On December 17th, I still had not heard anything back from anyone, so I emailed the dealer GM assuming that I would at least hear back from him however as of Jan 6th, 2019, I have received no response. Although it has snowed quite a bit since Nov 28th, 2018, I still have no winter tires and not one person from Sherwood Park Toyota has made an effort to call me and explain how they lost MY winter tires and or offered a solution. I am happy to report that as of January 7th, I heard from the GM who has assured me that the lost tires and rims will be replaced and while I appreciate the effort that he put into making this happen, I am extremely disappointed in the service department and feel that I never should have had to go to the GM to receive the service I should have last year.

"Life is full of choices... don't make an expensive mistake.."

This dealership charges between 30-40 percent MORE than other Toyota dealerships in the city for their various service packages, including oil changes. Sadly, I didn't realize this until last week when I visited another Toyota dealership because it was closer to my new job. Even tire rotations cost 20% more here. Apparently because the various Toyota Dealerships are independently owned, they can set their own service prices. There are lot of positive reviews about this dealership, but... I would like to share that this dealership "bribes" its customers with free oil changes in exchange for writing a 5 star review on this dealerrater site. At least, that's what they tried on me when I purchased my car. Sorry Sherwood Park Toyota... bribing customers is not good business. Life is full of choices... don't make an expensive mistake... don't choose Sherwood Toyota. I almost forgot, if you do bring your car here for an oil change be prepared to be hassled to buy a new car, even if your current car is only 1 year old...

"MOST INCOMPETENT PEOPLE EVER!!!"

Not only did they refuse to warranty my 3M (while I still had warranty under my car) but I also went in for my major servicing there and received garbage service. They told me I needed a wheel alignment done (even though I had done one the week before from there dealership). I yelled at them and told them I wasn't happy about the service, especially since they didn't finish everything they promised they would. Sherwood Toyota called me and told me they never got the work finished because they did my wheel alignment (then why did they recommend I need to get one done??). Sherwood Toyota ensured me that they would call me back and re-schedule a day where they would: 1. Fix the problems that they promised they would 2. Give me a loaner vehicle while they did so They never did call me back to reschedule, so not only did I never go back, I bought another Toyota vehicle from a different dealership. I also got my wheel alignment done from somewhere else that told me "my alignment was out to lunch" They are a bunch of crooks, will never go back. HIGHLY RECOMMEND GOING TO ANY OTHER TOYOTA DEALERSHIP!!

"Not My Choice Anymore or Ever Again"

I was a loyal Sherwood Park Toyota customer from the moment I bought my vehicle there 5 years ago. Every single service requirement was completed at Sherwood Park Toyota from the moment I bought the vehicle. Unfortunately, 5 years later and with a single car payment left, my vehicle became a nightmare of repairs, and of course everything is falling apart as soon as the warranties all expired. Things are falling apart that they say they have never seen happen before. Over the years and including the massive repairs I had to complete just in the last 2 months I have spent tens of thousands of dollars at Sherwood Park Toyota. I have even more urgent repairs that need to be completed that will cost thousands more. When I was booking the appointment to complete these repairs that would take at least 2 days, I asked if they could help me get back to the vehicle I had arranged to borrow while my car was in for repairs. Due to the timing of the repairs I had no friends or family who could drive the second vehicle/pick me up. I wanted to be sure I had a way to get to my borrowed vehicle because I knew it was a bit further than their shuttle would usually go (approx. 35 minute drive one way to a small community on the outskirts of Edmonton. I was hoping for a bit of the "top notch" customer service they say they provide, especially after I had been such a loyal customer for so many years and spent so much money there. Sadly, I was completely denied without any attempt to even partially help. They flat out told me I should find another dealership. The recent experiences I have had with Sherwood Park Toyota and the vehicle I bought have been overwhelmingly disappointing to say the least. They were good when all was needed was an oil change. As soon as my vehicle turned out to be less than dependable and service requirements increased, they failed to deliver on their promise to provide community and quality before profits. I will never again give Sherwood Park Toyota my business and I will never buy a Toyota vehicle again.

"Using every trick to get you to spend money"

- Will Never Return

This dealer uses every excuse to install the fear that you must do services to your car which cost hundreds of dollars each time. Using the opportunity to do warranty work and then telling you that you "must" do this additional service at the same time. Going out of their way to find something wrong with your vehicle no matter how minor. Telling you that one part of the suspension needs repair but you should replace both at the same time. Toyota tells you the coolant should be changed at 128,000 km but the dealer says it should be done at 40,000 is ridiculous. Changing the cabin air filter at 16,000 km intervals then recommending an air conditioner service at 40,000 km and replacing the cabin air filter again and making sure you paid another $47 for it. Coming up with every excuse they can find to defend these actions only makes them look more guilty of trying to rip you off for as much money as they can.
