My Experience Shawn MacDougall was my sales rep. I told him what vehicle I was interested in, we set up a date for a test drive. The day before my test drive I de Shawn MacDougall was my sales rep. The day before my test drive I decided I wanted to see another vehicle as well, I told Shawn which vehicle it was (from the website). When I arrived for the test drive, he had both vehicles ready for me to look at. The vehicle I chose was the one that I told him about the day before. That vehicle was not detailed, as I asked to see it just the day before. I was fine taking it that way as it really wasn't that bad. Shawn had it detailed and looking brand new, he also arranged for the financing for the vehicle I chose - completed with in two hours. Pros' Shawn did not try to sell me anything I did not want, he respected my decision. All of the staff that I encountered there were courteous and helpful. I would go back to Shawn again if I needed, however I bought my dream vehicle and I am a very satisfied customer. Con's The dealership is 4 hours away from me. More
Cadillac service My 2016 was prebooked for a 9 am complimentary oil change and tire rotation that I was going to wait for. I arrived at 820am and the service rep Len, My 2016 was prebooked for a 9 am complimentary oil change and tire rotation that I was going to wait for. I arrived at 820am and the service rep Len, informed me that my car was due for a 30k km fuel injection cleaning and that it wasn’t covered under warranty? Which took me by surprise but I agreed to the $290 something cost. Len then informed me that it would take hours to complete and asked if I need a ride home. Reluctantly, I accepted the ride and @ 920 am 5 of us boarded the shuttle which proceeded on a 2 hour and 15 min journey around the city before dropping me off in Sherwood park. At aroun 1 pm, I received a call from Len who informed me that I had a tire with a nail in it. I ask d him to repair it. Len called back an hour later and stated that all of the wheel security features ( which I was conned into buying when I purchased the car) were all over torqued and stripped but that they could remove them but it again, wasn’t covered under warranty and would be the shop rate for about an hour $100 plus an hour. I informed Len, that Don Wheaton were the only ones to work on the car ( including the last tire rotation) and that’ it in fact should be covered under the warranty . Len then informed me that his boss was unreachable to make the decision so I told him to leave the lock nuts alone and that I would do it myself. Len called back and informed me that his boss would take care of the cost of the stripped lock nuts that they had previously installed. After arranging my own ride back to Don Wheaton ( I couldnt bear another 2 plus hour tour of Edmonton) , I went to the service desk where Len happily welcomed me back and handed me a bill for $412 . After looking at the total, I start d calculating out loud to Len, oil change free, fuel injection clean $290 something, I guess that I’m paying $100 plus to repair a tire with a nail in it? Len responded with, the fuel injection clean was only for the labour and that the cost of the “actual “ cleaner was extra. I am now completely disgusted with not only the service department but also with the car. In short, if you want to feel violated by a greasy bunch crooks, slide on in for your complimentary service and shuttle . This experience has turned me off both Don Wheaton and Cadillac. More

Wonderful Experience! Don Wheaton is a great company to deal with! Shawn, our salesman, was knowledgeable and courteous. He spent extra time on our test drive allowing us Don Wheaton is a great company to deal with! Shawn, our salesman, was knowledgeable and courteous. He spent extra time on our test drive allowing us to take it over to our mechanic to ensure that we were totally happy with the car. He went above and beyond our expecatations of a salesman! Shawn also went out of his way to do research as to whether or not the vehicle could be toad towed behind our motorhome. Thank you for making our car buying experience a positive one. Shawn my salesman was excellent replied to all my inquiries in a timely manner answered all my questions and is someone I would recommend to my friends. I had the kind of car buying experience I love no back and forth from salesperson to sales manager no pressure and no wasted time . I actually flew from Ontario to Edmonton was met at the airport by Shawn driven to the dealership signed my papers paid for my car and was on my way . I could have spent a week driving to different dealers in southern Ontario and wasted a lot of my time doing that salesperson to sales manager game . In closing everyone I interacted with at Wheaton Cadillac was a pleasure to deal with . More
Amazing and Wonderful Don Wheaton Dealership Experience Ethan Shaw the sales consultant has empathy with us; he is instinctive and knows what vehicle we want and could afford. We first spoke to Brandie regarding a used truck or a price range we wanted to stay in and she spent time researching this for us so she had vehicles within our budget. We took one used truck for a test drive; realized that we wanted a new truck. A friend, as did my son, said to me that we needed to look at the Canyon Diesel that it has such great reviews. So, switching plans on a dime we told Brandie this and like a pro she asked her assistant Melissa to call to find the one in stock for us to test drive and Melissa immediately took care of this with such pleasure! We then had the truck delivered by Tia with such a smile and knew that she was so happy to do so (we saw Tia at reception when we went to pick up our truck and again we saw her interacting with others with that same enthusiasm). We are so grateful that Brandie had such patience with us on the delivery of our truck as we have never owned a truck let alone a diesel and Brandie knew this and took the time to ensure before we left that all of our questions were answered and we left with knowledge. Thank you Brandie!!!!! We can not forget the VP of first impressions Melissa the receptionist; she makes all feel so welcome :)! I first emailed Don Wheaton dealership and inquired about a couple of new Chevy trucks that interested me. A very pleasant gentleman by the name of Shawn MacDougall replied to my email (and several follow-up emails as well thereafter). Shawn answered all of my questions in a timely manner - which i appreciated as some of the other dealerships took forever to respond to me (or didnt even respond at all!). I was quite bothered by this so I decided to make an appointment with Shawn and one other dealer (which I ended up cancelling). Upon my arrival Shawn knew that I wanted to test drive one of the vehicles. I was very impressed that he had the truck outside next to the sales office and started ! (It was quite cold out that day). Shawn had a no pressure approach and answered all of my questions about pricing, warranty, options, etc. I liked the fact that Shawn actually sat down with me and took the time to go through everything with me instead of sending me to the finance office and have that person go through everything. Once a deal was reached - I then was introduced to Tim (the finance consultant). Tim was also very thorough with the financial side of things . The overall experience was very positive and will definitely be taking the trip to Edmonton (from Grande Prairie) again if I want to purchase another vehicle - No matter what make).
