I traded in at this dealership. - cole_h38@hotmail.com
I traded in at this dealership. They gave me a rather pitiful offer, I gave them my spare winter tires with rims and 500$ privacy screen for the trunk- gained nothing on my trade in. The vehicle I got had never ending problems, the front right wheel air deflector falling off, skid plates were loose, 4x4 issues, headlight was failed, side step was loose- these were all things the PASSED PRE SALE INSPECTION, if this isn’t an indicator of quality…. I picked it up Jan 20/2025. Jan 21, had massive amount of 4x4 codes, I brought it back on Jan 21st, for the rattle under the cab, and 4x4. Picked up from repair on Jan 24. On Jan 26 return again for same 4x4 issues. Pick up my vehicle Feb 3. On Feb 4th vehicle coded again, return for repairs on Feb 14th, no vehicle was planned for me to use. Had to take a cab and catch a ride 30 min out of town. Picked it up some time after this, and messaged salesman again for repair on Feb 23 of same issue plus suspension leaking, with combined issues causing me to nearly T-bone a car I was passing on the highway with my wife and 2 kids, due to 4x4 cutting out mid acceleration and switching to 2wd . February 26th it went back again for repairs. March 10th I returned to pick up the vehicle, and they finally fixed the loose step bar and replaced headlamp Upon arrival, the technician left the module cover for the DTCM sitting on the floor in the back seat. And also had a broken windshield which I noticed pulling out of the parking lot and pulled over outside the dealer and called Josh the service manager and asked him what they were doing about the broken window and he said “we have no way of proving we broke it, so there’s nothing we can do”- well you guys have been driving it for weeks on end and the one person driving it lives on a grid and I drive 100% highway… in the middle of winter.. deductive reasoning answers that.. thanks triple 7!
March 11 suspension failed again due to leakage. Messaged dealer again and they knew nothing of it, even though it was in the text messages. Service dept f’d up. Again. March 12 front air deflector fell off… again, and had to get towed out of a parking lot because of the suspension going flat.picked it up again March 21. With no issues. They stated they had I. Total replaced the rear diff actuator, as well as “replaced the harness terminals to the DTCM” and supposedly replaced DTCM
Early April I did an oil change and found the following- non factory clips installed on the front deflector. Which has since ripped off taking my fender trim with it as the fender trim is segmented into the clips. And loam/ soil covering all skid plates, fuel tank and any flat surface under the vehicle.
October 2025 the 4x4 issue started again. And this time I was told there was no labour warranty. I then did the repairs myself and found a laundry list of codesU0403 implausible data from transfer case, C1403-92 Transfer case range position sensor performance/incorrect operation
G140A-13 Transfer case motor control circuit open, C1472-92Transfer case clutch control performance/incorrect operation, C1476-00Transfer case clutch position out of range. I inspected under carriage and found Dorman shift module and a hack job repair for the pigtail, broken connector with lock tab ripped off and zip tied in place, it’s okay, the customer can handle that. Also the Tcase fill plug was hand tight and leaking, down half liter of fluid. Don’t worry triple 7, I’ll clean up after you.
Now diagnostics, I open the dtcm access cover and what do I find? The DTCM is laying in the bottom of the tray not secured to its mounting location and straining the harness, harness mounting push clip, not attached to its mounting point, protective loom ripped off but loom retention tape still intact from it and tails from the tape hanging off as well as the main harness tape winding to keep the wires together was missing and ripped, tape for harness split wrapping missing. Disconnected DTCM connectors plugs and fou
