I would like to update this review three years later. Because this is such a wonderful vehicle, I purchased it at the end of the lease. My vehicle was inspected, rims repaired, appropriate services rendered, thoroughly cleaned plus received an excellent offer for new tires. I have been trading for many many years with Dan Ramsdell and his team. This experience is once again reason to make the John Thornton family of dealerships my only source for our family vehicles. Highly recommend this team now, just as I did three years ago. Thank you!!! The lease of my new 2020 Chevy Blazer was flawless. This was the third vehicle that I've leased from Dan Ramsdell. We have worked out the details on this transaction (all three) via email. I took limo from Atlanta airport to John Thornton Chevrolet, they opened at 8am just for me. All documents were ready, I only had to sign them and was our in thirty minutes. This gorgeous Black Blazer AWD 3LT has been detailed, filled up with gas, my all weather floor mats put in place and temporary license applied for tag with requested black license plate frame. Derek Strickland saw to it that everything was orchestrated perfectly and my transaction was seamless and most enjoyable. I will definitely trade with these professionals once again and highly recommend others to visit John Thornton Chevrolet!! More

John Thornton Chevrolet was a great place to buy my vehicle. Terrence East was the first that approached me and couldn’t have been a better representation of this dealership. Once I looked the truck inventory I decided on a Silverado 4x4 but wouldn’t fit in my garage which was a dealbreaker. Terrence and I looked at SUVs and didn’t find anything that had the options I wanted. Lo w and behold he found a 2023 Traverse that just arrived to the dealership hours earlier. It ended up being the vehicle I bought. Working with the finance manager Derek Strickland treated me with respect and felt like a I got a good trade in for my 2008 Ford Edge. I felt like he could have given me a better price for the 2023 Traverse but knew they would sell this car to someone else if I didn’t purchase it. . Two critiques was the dealership could have extended the CAP program to me but didn’t and the fleet manager wasn’t respectful at ALL and I almost walked out without making my large purchase. The second was I wish Terrence went over all the bells and whistles this vehicle had but has been fun learning on my own don’t get me wrong he did show me the most important ones. To end on a positive note the folks in the parts department were awesome the young lady and believe the man that help me with my floor mat purchase was Jim. All and all I’m very pleased my my new Traverse and would recommend others to buy from Terrance East and John Thornton Chevrolet! More

I would rate John Thorton Chevrolet a 1 star. 0 Stars if I could. When I received my car the wheel was scratched and it took 4 months to recieve a replacement. When they replaced the wheel the re 0 Stars if I could. When I received my car the wheel was scratched and it took 4 months to recieve a replacement. When they replaced the wheel the replacement was gouged from someone in the service department and not reporting it. If it wasn't for me inspecting before I left the lot I would have been liable. The muffler on my brand new car had a defect, the service department kept giving me the run around on repairing it. It took over 4 months and for me to call General Motors customer service for them to repair and replace the muffler. But wait there's more. The car didn't come with the chips for the heated and air conditioned seats. After I got the letter from General Motors saying I could call the dealership to have the chips put in, John Thornton said that it would be a few months until they could get the chips in and the only appointments they have available are Monday through Thursday at either 8am or 9am. They were not willing to work with me to have these chips put in. As for someone with a normal job those hours to have the chips replaced do not work. I then called a dealership out of state since I will be there for the holidays and they were promptly able to get me in, said there wasn't a backorder on the chips and could have me come at at my earliest convenience. Overall my experience with John Thornton Chevrolet was very poor and I will never buy a car from them again or refer anyone to purchase or lease a car through them. More

I love John Thornton. People don’t understand how much they go out of their way to make customers happy. They have to wait 5 minutes longer and trash them.
