I am a first time car buyer and owner. I got a GMC 2022 Terrain SLE from this dealership SHERWOOD PARK CHEVROLET. I was not able to see the car personally and do a test drive on this since I got a GMC 2022 Terrain SLE from this dealership SHERWOOD PARK CHEVROLET. I was not able to see the car personally and do a test drive on this since I am living 380km away. I found their advertisement online. I only have my trust with the sales person who assisted me. I even asked him what is my guarantee that this car is in good condition. He only said that if anything happens the bumper to bumper warranty will cover this. Which is not a very satisfying answer but I have my faith that there will be no issues. However, when I received the car there are dents, scratches and windsheild chip that was not even disclosed to me and this is an accident free car as per their advertisement claiming. I understand that it is a preowned car but I believe I should have been informed about the physical condition of the car and this should have been fixed prior delivery. The car doesn't look like it was detailed as well. I even sent the photo and videos of the car. I also asked to waive the delivery fee not just because we had a miscommunication that the delivery is for free (they did not even disclose to me the amount of delivery fee so I assumed that it was free) but considering how they did not disclosed to me everything. First, they did not explain to me about the delivery method of the car. They did not inform me that someone will be driving the car going here to my place. I thought it will be delivered using a truck. Since that's not the case it added to my mileage which I was not informed or even asked if I am okay with that. If only I've known that this will happen I would have pick up the car myself. Then, when they deliver the car the delivery person did not show me how the car operates or explain things about the car and did not have the initiative to do a car tour just to make sure that everything is fine. As a first time car owner and buyer I don't have an idea what are the things I should have done when receiving a car. I received a call from their sales manager named VINCE. Instead of being apologetic to what happened and explain in a nice way why they can't refund the delivery fee, he insulted and made me look like I just want free money from them. He keeps on mentioning they have recordings and I asked for recordings as well to know my mistake during the transaction but he said "no that recording is only for them". He wouldn't let me even talk knowing that I am already frustrated with what's going on. Then General Sales Manager called me named Darren offered to it's either to send me pen touch up for the scratches but how about the dents? (and doing it myself is very unfair) or I have to drive to Edmonton (which is very inconvenient) just to get those chips, scratches and dents get fix where it is not my fault. I was even offered $200 credit for the delivery fee which I don't think is right after what happened. When I had the car washed since it was delivered to me I found out that the back door is already rusting (VERY RIDICULOUS). It was not noticeable when I first got it because of the weather and dirt. This car is almost brandnew and expensive but its RUSTING! I went to 2 autobody shops in Calgary and they said that the back door has been damaged and repaired before since it's not the factory paint anymore and it was not propely fixed which caused that rust. I am so out of words! I am so mad because of their FALSE CLAIM. I didn't want to accept their offer to trade in (because they will not give me the same value of my initial purchase and will lose they money that I already paid), I just want to return it because I don't know what more issues I will discover in the long run and I don't trust them anymore after everything that happened. They don't want me to return the car as they said there is no law in Alberta that a car can be returned. I filed a complaint to AMVIC but they don't care because they know that AMVIC will take long to action and might not even side with consumer More

I had just come off a terrible experience with another dealership (buyer beware - the dealership advertised price is the price you should be paying, plus GST and finance fees. Everything else is negotiable), lots of lost time and energy on my end. I contacted Sherwood Park Chev about a used Hyundai Kona with a sour taste in my mouth, expecting to be jerked around again. David Shull proved me wrong, and then some! I’m in Calgary, they’re in Edmonton and we took care of everything online, from pricing the Kona to estimating my trade in, right down to signing off on the sale. The part that truly makes this dealership stand out is their transparency and empathy. I was treated like a human, rather than someone who they could scam a few extra dollars out of. The entire team I worked WITH and not against made this somewhat stressful process a pleasure - Jarid in Finance, Vince the Sales Manager and my man, David, who was so personable, going above and beyond to get me into the vehicle I fell in love with. Ever get the speech from a salesman when you are shopping for a truck and its close to month end and they would really like to sell you a truck before month end to help with their numbers? Well being that I was shopping for a truck and they happened to have one for sale I said I would gladly help, but the catch was Vince was not willing to get me the window sticker so I had no idea what the MSRP was. Because of the current market I knew I was going to pay full MSRP and I was completely ok with paying MSRP but not a penny more which is what I had told him several times, so he reassured me I wouldn't be paying over MSRP. So I went ahead and signed the papers and paid cash for the truck, but the weird part was I was still not given any documentation on what the MSRP of the truck was, this was after asking a hand full of times over a few weeks. To my surprise I was lied to, the actual trucks MSRP was 101,000 and they sold it to me at 106,000. I was then given the line that it was Chevrolet that marked it up 5000 not the dealership, so I called one of my good friends at another Chevrolet dealer and he informed me that Chevrolet had not put a price increase on these trucks in five months and their dealership is completely unaware of this surcharge from Chevrolet, and also keep in mind that this truck just landed roughly a month ago, and my friend also informed me that the window sticker would most definitely reflect the price increase, which this one does not. Morale of the story here is, don't ever do anything here on a handshake, the days of being able to trust anyone if it isn't on paper is long gone. Sad thing is I was getting all of my personal and work vehicles serviced here as I really like their lube bay, and most of my vehicles are fords! To think I had also put my name on a 2023 High Country here, but not any longer. Off to Sherwood Park GMC or Northgate Chevrolet where they show you the MSRP and can be trusted.
