Have used Northgate since 1975. Always have had good service Repairs have always been done right, unlike problems i have had at other dealerships, where repairs werenot done at all, and given a bunch of BS., on wht not. Staff has always been helpful and explaining where needed, not trying to sell me something else Keep up the good work John Haisma

"Not great service"

Took our truck in for recalls, fuel filter change and check front end due to abnormal wear on front tires. and perform repairs. Tuesday am, fast forward to end of business Weds still nothing, hopefully it's done tomorrow, as we have to pay daily for a rental. She told me if it was warranty work they would cover the rental. Day 1 it didn't get in the shop, day 2 they did the 3 recalls and changed the fuel filter and by day 3 I'm hoping they get the wheel alignment done. We had problems the last time we brought it in as well. If I hadn't thought it was on warranty work on the front end, I never would have taken it to them. We buy a new truck every couple of years, the sales experience with them was excellent. Due to the experiences with the service on our new truck my husband says we will not be buying from Northgate Chev Olds again. If you sell a new vehicle the service on that vehicle is every bit as important as the sale, especially when your bringing it in for recalls. I spent 2 days wondering around the mall waiting for the phone call to say my truck was ready, come pick it up. (as we live an hr out of town, 4 hr round trip to bring in vehicle, go home . then come in to pick up). Tomorrow I had plans but now have to cancel to hopefully pick up the truck. I would have appreciated better communication, and speedier service, I can appreciate that they;re busy, however schedule my repairs and I will have my vehicle there as scheduled. With Northgate you bring it in in the morning, get a rental and spend the next 2 days waiting to hear about your vehicle and waiting for your vehicle to hopefully get in the shop.

"Service at Northgate "

The people at Northgate are always friendly and helpful. The service is great. We have had experiences with other shops where they tell us all kinds of problems with our vehicles - all false when we took our vehicle to different shop for a second opinion. I feel that I can trust Northgate which is very important to me.

My truck required service, for obd2 not communicating! The tech was able to QUICKLY find the problem, and repaired in no time!! BZ!! Dan the service rep was friendly and informed me of the process completely! He also found a recall and had that repaid immediately, BZ to him too! If my truck requires more work will definitely return!

"Appreciation to Mr. Dan Saunders"

I wish to convey my sincere appreciation for the professionalism and manner in which Dan Saunders represented your company. Dan demonstrated a level of service that is rare today; he actually means what he says. Before meeting this gentleman, I was seriously considering quitting your product; then, I meet Mr. Saunders; so now just when I thought I was done with GM, in comes Dan to show me what GM is really made of. Yes, GM is made of people like me and you; not to mention Dan. So yes, I vow to purchase another GM vehicle within the next 12 months; it better be awesome because it's for me lovely lady friend. I'm not joking; so for all you supervisors and managers take note of what I've just said because this story I'm spreading to as many people I know who happen to love GM. Hey I'm a little giggly because my Girl-friend is about to be a Grandma for the very first time (*tonight sometime*); the last time I seen her this happy was when she first set eyes on me back in 09; Hakuna Matata:)

Our 2014 chev truck 4x4 was noisy . Had truck at different Chev dealer they claimed nothing was wrong . Glad Northgate found problem and rebuilt the front diff.

"Bad customer service"

- Car nut

Brought my G8 GT in because the drivers front tire on the inside was wearing significantly faster than the rest of the tire, I also brought a new tire in the trunk to be used to replace the worn one. The print out showed that the car was within factory spec before any adjustments were made but yet it's trashing the drivers front tire. Minor adjustment were made but I'm not sure this will help as I'm sure GM doesn't quote alignment specs that cause bad tire wear which the car was within. I was quoted the wrong price for the alignment and the tire was not mounted as requested until late in the day so they had my car for the whole day. My old tire was not put in the trunk like I asked even though i asked my service adviser a second time before leaving and no print out was given when I paid my inflated bill. I had to make a second trip wasting my time to pick up the paper and my tire. This is the second time I've been refused warranty work at Northgate on 1 of my Chevys the service manager suggested a 50 50 split even though the car was still within the 3 year bumper to bumper. I own 4 Pontiac, 3 Chevrolet a Caddy a Toyota and a Mitsubishi none pull to the right like my G8 that has less than 59000km on it. It's no wonder most people do not go to the dealership once the warranty expires, you can get better service and much greater value at a place like Canadian Tire, Fountain basically anywhere else. This service center doesn't instill confidence in their ability to properly fix your GM vehicle, quote the price your expected to pay at the till or follow a simple request to return personal property or have staff on hand that know their products ie quoting the 2 wheel alignment price on a car that needs a 4 wheel alignment. Not impressed at all.

I dropped off my vehicle on a Wednesday morning due to the engine light and a consistent known issue however as of Friday morning no one has even looked at it. I’ve been out of a vehicle thinking the problem is being fixed when it’s only been sitting in the parking lot. If the service contact was honest from the beginning then I could have made the choice but instead set unrealistic expectations. I will never bring my vehicle here again. #Worst service

Disgraceful display of Customer Service by General Manager, Mike Lowe!! Owner should pay attention to who is representing his business! This general manager will drive business away from your dealership. Customers and Excellent Customer Service is what keeps customers coming back. Note to General Manager ... this is called repeat business. We will NEVER do business at this dealership again! Maybe the General Manager should take a few courses to learn some much needed Customer Service Skills!!

Northgate Chevrolet Buick GMC Ltd responded

Hello, the vehicle in question is a 2002 model. There was a recall that GM issued and we completed the work in 2016. I understand that you feel the work we completed led to issues recently. We reviewed the work order and everything was completed to GM's standard, which is very high. Unfortunately, the vehicle is a 2002 and is out of warranty. Our dealer principle is trying to work on a solution for you. Hopefully we will be able to work things out :)
