Everything was transparent from the get go. There was no rush, they worked around my schedule and timing. It snowed the day we finalized the deal and they did a great job making sure I was safe by offering a fantastic winter tire package to go with my vehicle. My next vehicle will be from them!

Just completed my 2nd truck purchase with Ernesto Bernal, and there is a reason I will only go to Sherwood Ford to buy vehicles; they are the best dealership I’ve ever dealt with. The managers and all the staff are so friendly, which puts you at ease because buying a vehicle can be overwhelming. Ernesto is super professional and easy to deal with, he’s patient and genuinely cares about what you want and wants to see you happy, he does everything he possibly can to make the experience memorable, which is why I’ll keep going back. I pick up my car and told I have to pay $200 just to look and tell me nothing is wrong even though it has warranty. I would not taken here if told that first. Learn from my bad experience! I absolutely do not recommend buying a used car from Universal Ford Lincoln Calgary or booking at their service department. For the past three and a half months the ongoing car issues I have experienced are trouble accelerating, jerking/shaking while driving/changing speeds and oil leaks. I have been communicating with Loren (service advisor), Amit (service manager), Jordan (guest experience manager) and Shawn (dealership manager) with no resolution. I bought my Ford Escape back in November 2023 and had transmission issues 4 days after purchasing the car (see picture from November 26, 2023 “transmission fault”). I immediately I notified my sales rep and they couldn’t get my car in service for a week and than took weeks to figure out the actual issue. Luckily I had paid $600 for the three month warranty because they had to replace the whole transmission, valve body and torque converter. The second time was due to trouble accelerating, jerking/shaking while driving/changing speeds but they were “unable to replicate them” until I proved them on a test drive…They explained one of the parts that they replace were faulty. They replaced it and and “fixed” an oil leak. This helped for a short while until I took the car to a reputable mechanic and he told me he found two separate oil leaks and that my filters needed to be changed immediately. I was shocked and irritated because Ford service had just had my car. The third time in service they could not find the leaks but said I had one seep. They fixed the seep and returned the car to me, that same day I got it the check oil light was flashing…. They did not know why. The fourth and final time my car was in service when they gave me the car back and experienced shaking and accelerating issue severe than ever before. Communicating with this dealership is exhausting and they will give you the run around regardless if it is service or management. THIS SERVICE TEAM EITHER HAS NO IDEA WHAT THEY ARE DOING OR ARE SIMPLY WASTING TIME! My car was in service for 5 weeks over the three and half month period. It’s taken many emails, calls, texts and in-person meetings to get to this point. Through multiple conversations with Universal management and the sales team it is evident this dealership doesn’t stand by their used cars at all yet encouraged me to buy a more expensive used car from them? They are absolutely delusional. All the options given to me would benefit the dealership and have no consideration for my time, money and/or energy. BUY SOMEWHERE ELSE!

I have never been treated so badly! I bought a 2023 F-150 2.7c a couple of months ago and the truck came out with many defects (4 times in the shop and still not repaired). My wife and I went to look for a solution to the problem last Saturday afternoon and the manager told me that I had to contact Ford directly because he cannot do anything for us (So why is there a manager if he can't do anything for me and asks you to go directly to Ford?) He offered me an expensive product and when I asked him to help us to pay something close that we are paying now he left us talking, got up and left! the worst manager in the world! We just need a reliable truck and the one we have is not as it has many defects. We asked the manager to change the truck because it is not possible to have so many defects in a new truck and we felt very insecure, and the manager asked us to pay $60 CAD more bi-weekly for a truck that is not like the one we had before. We asked him to let us pay something close to what we pay now ($518/bi-weekly) but he wouldn't help us. He got up and left. He was very rude and cowardly in not wanting to serve his clients. It is the worst treatment we have received in our lives. The manager stood up and left us talking. The worst customer service. The manager was not willing to support the client in times of need. Please, we need help! Could it be racism??? That happened at Marlborough Ford Calgary AB.

The quote from Clarence was very reasonable, the work was completed without issue and ahead of schedule, and the final bill was even less than the original quote (this speaks to the honesty and integrity of this dealership). Terrible service, and every visit seems to surface more 'money grab' problems. The last issue with them, I was rear ended in my car. The insurance company wouldn't accept that the ABS module was damaged by the collision, and Hansen backed up the insurance company's claim, rather than a repeat customer (I've purchased 3 new vehicles from their lot). Further, they over estimated the price of parts to repair by more that 30%, as I purchased the parts myself from a dealership on the other side of the country for almost half what Hansen quoted. The labor time estimates were WAY more than what the job to replace and reprogram the new module and HCU actually takes to do, claiming a full day for the reprogramming which actually only takes about 15 minutes. (I would do it myself, but Lincoln has the programming locked for Ford/Lincoln techs only for a 7 y/o vehicle). I've received no support through the entire ordeal from this dealership, and they now block my calls and emails when I attempt to get my car back on the road. Further, they kept my car for almost 2 months before even communicating to me what the diagnostics had found. Terrible customer service, no support for repeat buyers, unless of course you're an oil company buying fleets.
