Fortunately, Dave & Ellie listened to what my needs were and found exactly what I was looking for. There was no pressure and even though it took a couple of weeks to finally find the car that checked all my boxes, they never once tried to sell me something that (a) I wasn’t in love with and (b) I couldn’t afford. Both purchases were seamless, including getting me the best financing rates, quickly resolving some minor scratches on the bumpers and filling the tank up with gas. From the business office, to the service centre to the sales floor, if you are looking to buy a new or used car, I would definitely suggest checking out BCS Auto Sales. I’m positive that’s where I will be buying my 3rd car!

In February 2020 I bought a used Hyundai Accent 2015 from John. After 2 months I had an oil burning issue. Black smoke will come out through the exhaust pipe + The oil sign on the dashboard will pop up after 1500-2000 kilometres even though the oil suppose to last for 4000 kilometres.
I took the car to different mechanics and all of them told me that there is a serious issue with the engine and the dealership should take care of it since you got it less than 2 months ago. When I went to this dealership and met John and the Sales manager they started playing games and giving excuses after excuses and finally they said that they are not gonna fix it because it was working fine when they sold it to me!
I contacted the VSA (Vehicle Sales Authority of BC) and they told me that the dealership is responsible for this issue and advised me to file a complaint against the dealership and I already started the process.
Don't deal with this shady dealership. Spend your hard earned money somewhere else. There are far better dealership around there who deserve your business.

As stated, you did purchase a vehicle from us mid February 2020. You returned to the dealership a couple of months later with a bill from a garage for the cost to cover the replacement of 4 spark plugs. The total amount of approximately $700-800. As you told me, the replacement of the spark plugs was needed. We were unable to reimburse you as you did not bring the vehicle to us or notify us that it needed repairs.
When you came to BCS Auto Sales, you demanded I reimburse you for the repairs you had done to the vehicle without us having the opportunity to inspect and repair the vehicle.
Sadly, it would seem true that you followed through on your threat to write bad reviews, if I didn't give into your demands. I would welcome the opportunity to discuss your mechanical issues further, should you chose to do so.
In closing, I see our Service Department has been working with you through Open Road Hyundai, in having your mechanical concerns addressed.

This is a reply to the dealership response:
I need to correct your story.
First, Open road Hyundai on Boundary Road engine test result showed very clearly that there are multiple parts needs to be replaced. Not just the spark plugs as you falsely claimed. There is also the PCV Valve & injection flush. Their report also mentioned that the engine has running rich issue. At the end of report Hyundai recommend further diagnosis tests.
Second, When I came to you with this report, it was actually BEFORE I fix anything in the car. Not as you falsely claimed, AGAIN. I actually drove the same car to you & you (Shawn Jamieson) met with me AND by your own hand you wrote on the back of the report that you're sending me to fix it outside your dealership with a useless discount. After you told me that you are not gonna fix the car & take responsibility for it. At the same time I took you to the car & SHOWED you the black smoke coming out of the exhaust pipe. so I didn't come to you after I fixed the car nor did I ask you for any reimbursement as you falsely claimed for third time. If that was the case then you wouldn't write me the discount on the back of the test which I still have it with your own hand writing on it, right? Why would you give me a discount AFTER I fixed the car?!
It is very unfortunate that you chose to twist what really happened just to not take the responsibility for the car. I will continue with the VSA complaint and I will mention your response here as a proof that I'm dealing with a shady dealership who's dealing with customers with a bad faith.

Khaled Ali Qahron, I have documentation from Open Road Hyundai (of which I would gladly provide a copy to you, should you not be able to locate your copy) invoiced to BCS Auto Sales January 17 2020, stating the vehicle servicing for a check engine light on. When running the diagnostics it was noted the reading and I quote "when idle check reading for the upstream 02 sensor works fine, down stream 02 sensor reading 0.6v as temp go up reading go up. Both 02 sensor reading ok. Rev engine up 2000 RPM and run cat hot for 20 mins. Check "cat in" is 440 degree and "cat out" is 398 degree which mean low efficiency for "cat" REC cx replace catalytic converter. PWA # 200111004 (submitted 01/13/2020) PWA saved/ Claim# 200111004 saved 01/14/2020 replaced cat and manifold, erased code and scan. Vehicle runs okay. verified repair. Claim # 200111004 (submitted 01/17/2020)"
When I met with you, out of courtesy, I did offer to have any future repairs done to your vehicle, at our dealer cost price, at an independent service repair facility, located near our dealership. They are a long standing, accredited automotive repair facility. That information, I gave to you.

Shawn Jamieson, so you actually admitted that you were not telling the truth in your first response. When you falsely claimed that I brought the car after I fixed it, and now you're saying that it was not fixed and you did actually offered a discount.
Also you seem to forget what discount you give me. You give me a discount with open road Hyundai in Richmond. Not a close by mechanic as you falsely claimed again and again. Which is useless for me because you are asking me to pay for it instead of you taking care of it like any decent dealership would do.
As for the result. You mentioned an old test which you invoiced it in January 2020 and God knows when it was done and no idea if it coverd the particular issue I have (burning oil) which is different than what your old test was focusing on. You are talking about the ENGINE light & I'm talking about the OIL light.
I see a bad pattern here, you are going back and forth on your words and constantly telling multiple lies & twisting stories in every response just to fit your narrative. Is that how you (sales manager) deal with customers? Is BCS really that low?
And I did visit you twice already & I called many times more. And I got nothing. So I'm not calling you again but feel free to call me. My number is 5146607336

I searched online reviews and BCS stood out for credibility and customer satisfaction. I was met by John who at first was under the impression of me wanting a car immediately. After clarifying my needs he was very patient, accommodating my personal needs. I was taken with a Nissan. It was best suited for me. He went above and beyond my expectations, and did his best to make me not only purchase the car, but to do so, with a clear conscience, free of any stress, that this was the right decision for me. He was very professional and in the end I knew that BCS was a great choice. Tim in financing was affable and made the process seamless and enjoyable. He has a great sense if humour to boot. Both John and Tim provided a detailed history of the car. All maintenance service records and any records if possible accidents. Accident free. I did notice after several days with the car there was a wheel imbalance issue. Lionel, Derrick, and Shawn insured that I recieved a complimentary car while the Nissan was looked at. Shawn was exceptional in insuring the complimentary car was best suited for my height. Turned out to be a minor fix, totally expensed to BCS. The entire staff at BCS have been courteous and professional from start to finish. From Peter who picked me up downtown for an appointment to Raveen who had the Nissan checked up on. I thoroughly recommend BCS and if I were to purchase another car in the future I will definitely return. Thank you to all.
