I'm Doug Airey, General Manager of Western GMC Buick. I've been in the automotive business since 1984 first working for General Motors Corporation in the Service department then taking on a wide variety of assignments until 2008 when I joined the team at Western. Over the years there have been some great "favourite" cars including 1968 Pontiac Firebird, 1987 Buick Reatta Convertible, 1988 Pontiac Fiero GT and the 2009 Pontiac G8 GT. For current vehicles, my favourites are anything with "Denali" -- what a great package and the all-new line-up of Buicks including the fabulous Encore GX, and all-new Envision. I also love any vehicle that is "Sold"! When I'm not at Western, you can likely find me at the golf course, ski hill or working on my model trains. I'm actively involved in a wide range of community and industry organizations including Special Olympics and our local ski racing club.

We pride ourselves on our level of customer enthusiasm as shown by the hundreds of 5 Star reviews on Dealer Rater. We are a bit surprised with your comments regarding language and communications. During the purchase process with you and your husband, we had no indication of any misunderstandings. The bill of sale is clearly laid-out and agreed upon. The offer to purchase you signed shows the final price incorporating your down payment. Additionally, the $5000 cash down is on the signed purchase agreement three times. If there had been any confusion or misunderstanding, that should have been evident to all of us and caught with the bill of sale; if not with financial (bank) contract that you signed with the bank. The reason we have customers AND managers sign the paperwork is so that we both understand (and agree) the selling price and financed amount. If there was a misunderstanding at the time of purchase, it could have (and should have) been dealt with then – not weeks after you took delivery. Once again we are sorry but as explained to you; we are not in a position to take back your vehicle, cancel a bank agreement and/or refund your deposit. -Jamie Brandt, General Sales Manager - jbrandt@westerngm.com
