Sometimes It pays to get a 2nd opinion! My Rav4 developed a noisy exhaust. During routine service they looked at it and quoted me on a new exhaust system, which was quite expensive. I took My Rav4 developed a noisy exhaust. During routine service they looked at it and quoted me on a new exhaust system, which was quite expensive. I took my car to a muffler shop for a second opinion. They showed me a hole in one pipe and recommended just changing the pipe. They said the muffler on the RAV4 is very expensive and my muffler was still in good condition. The dealer rep has since said the intermediate pipe and muffler comes as one piece from Toyota so they had no choice but to quote on the whole replacement. I guess this is fair enough though I think they could have been more upfront. In any case the I feel the comment about getting a second opinion is still valid. They saved me alot of money! More

Very helpful My car has an odd problem where water leaks onto the floor of the passenger side. Took my car in numerous times to another dealer and they basically My car has an odd problem where water leaks onto the floor of the passenger side. Took my car in numerous times to another dealer and they basically told me to go away and come in whenever water leaked and that they would clean it up. Their solution was to periodically clean the tube going to the AC. I went to see Anastasia at Toyota on the Park - she was very helpful and understanding, and reassured me that they would work on identifying the problem and fixing it while my car was still within warranty. I am going to see her again as soon as I see a leak again. Thank you!! More
