Super Dave found a unicorn It's strange to say but we found our truck by giving up on finding it. We had been looking for an Ecodiesel and felt like we had finally struck out. I It's strange to say but we found our truck by giving up on finding it. We had been looking for an Ecodiesel and felt like we had finally struck out. I was getting a little frustrated and started saying that it would be easier to get someone to sell us a unicorn. So we decided to wait a few years and let more Eco's come on the market. In the mean time we still needed a second vehicle. We picked a dealer we hadn't visited yet and wanted to try a fresh start. It didn't take long to find out that we were at a different type of dealership. However at first it felt like the same old same old. As we parked a slick looking salesman was walking towards us. Oh great we have seen this before! But all he said was "welcome to GreatWest and head on in." We walked in the front door and was told today was the best day to buy a Dodge because we have a sale going on. Oh really? Like we hadn't heard that before. So we were sat down at a desk and oh surprise surprise it was the same slick salemans as outside! That is where the same old same old ended. We were actually listened to and were able to discuss what we wanted before we were shown just what they wanted to sell us. We listed out all the options we wanted and I made a remark that I would love to find my unicorn. Confused the salesman asked what the xxxx I was talking about. Before I could finish say "eco..." the salesman got up started walking away, stopped and said yelled across the showroom "My Name is Super Dave! I'll be back." My wife and I looked at each other and rolled our eyes. 30 seconds later Super Dave came back and said "Oh my god I have your truck." Again my wife and I looked at each other and rolled our yes. Super Dave started listing out option after option after option on the truck and it was really sounding too good to be true. We went for a walk outside expecting to hear the excuse of "oh it was listed on the options, I don't know what happened, you should buy it anyways speech." But what we saw was exactly what we wanted. We tried to keep somewhat of a poker face. But Super Dave knew he just hit bardownski. We went back to the office expecting to be steam rolled with prices and dirty corny sales tactics but it never happened. The negotiations were every professional and upfront. We slept on it for a day and looked over the deal and found a couple issues that we were unsure of and were thinking about walking away from the deal. We went in the next afternoon and brought up all of our issues and again in GreatWest Fashion all of our issues were taken care of. Done deal. We got exactly the truck we wanted. After it was all said and done as we drove home the deal even felt better. We feel that we have done a deal with a dealer that we would like to do business with again. Super Dave, Thank you More
