Good Experience! Bought a new 2016 F150. Was about to buy from my local dealer but they were not willing to budge on the price. So I went on dealer rater and saw that Bought a new 2016 F150. Was about to buy from my local dealer but they were not willing to budge on the price. So I went on dealer rater and saw that Erinwood had a top rating. I knew what I wanted and what I was willing to pay (knowledgable buyer having done my homework) and so called the dealer. I spoke with Jack on the phone and he said he had a vehicle that I wanted in the lot with some extras but a bit more than my price range. I decided to make the 70km trek to visit Jack. The truck on the lot was nice, we took it for a test drive as well. But even with back-and-forth, it was more than my budget. So we looked at a factory order - and then with some more back-and-forth, agreed on a price that was in the range I was willing to accept. So 3 hours well spent. And a day later, the local dealer called me and when I told them I got the truck in the range I wanted, they were shocked. Picking up the car - we met with Robyn in the Finance dept. She was excellent - very "on top" of everything, explained what I was signing and why, and pretty clear, transparent and efficient. So all-in-all a good experience. I knew what I was looking for, did my homework and was prepared with what price I was willing to pay. A pretty quick transaction as we just had to do some minor negotiation. More

Room for Professional Improvement! My husband and I recently purchased a used 2013 Toyota Rav4 Limited from Erinwood Ford. We dealt with 4 employees; our main Sales Rep ORLANDO FALSETTI My husband and I recently purchased a used 2013 Toyota Rav4 Limited from Erinwood Ford. We dealt with 4 employees; our main Sales Rep ORLANDO FALSETTI, his 'go-to' boss MIKE DIAMOND, another consultant JOHN BRIMO, and CAROL BUCKWALD in finance. All employees were pleasant overall but 2 much better to work with than others; details below. The price of the used vehicle at 82,991 KM was fair considering competitor prices, thus my husband and I decided to consider the vehicle seriously as a purchase. ORLANDO F. was pleasant to associate with during the experience, however seemed to lack knowledge about the vehicle when I questioned him about various features and other information. For example, the car made a constant "beeping sound" when in reverse (the loud sound you hear only on large commercial transport trucks), and when I questioned ORLANDO F. about this, he responded, "that's because it's in reverse... don't you want everyone to know that you're reversing?". I laughed and replied, "No! I don't want that attention when I reverse! It's a small car... it shouldn't make this sound". - Sure enough my husband discovered the beeping sound was only alarming to inform us that the back door was not securely closed and the sound seized when shut completely. Additionally, whenever ORLANDO F. needed to confirm something, he had to either call or personally run inside to ask his 'go-to boss' MIKE D. As said, nice guy, but lacks knowledge. The Rav4’s front dash was considerably damaged due to the previous owner sticking a strong adhesive cellphone holder to it and resultantly peeled the paint. There were also a significant number of scratches around the car, rock dents on the front hood, and a small scratch in the leather. ORLANDO F. told us that “nothing much could be done about the scratched leather, rock dents, the dash, but maybe the scratches”. I then asked him to confirm because we weren’t happy with the aesthetics condition of the car; thus he once again went to go ask MIKE D. MIKE D. came out and reassured us that the dash would be fixed, as well as the leather scratch, they would try and fix the rock dents and the scratches would be taken care of. Before proceeding, I wanted the confirmation in writing noting all the work that needed to be done on the car and wanted to specify WHERE the scratches were. MIKE D. said that “there wasn’t a need as they (the service people) will do a whole body look over and fix every scratch”. With this reassurance, my husband and I put a down-payment on the car and left. When we went to picked up the Rav4 a couple days later, we noticed that MIKE D’s. word was only PARTIALLY fulfilled; the dash was indeed fixed and looked great, the leather scratch was fixed, the hood dents were still noticeable yet painted (ORLANDO F. accidentally disclosed to me that he painted them himself... whoops?), but ALL the scratches around the car were CLEARLY still visible – they didn’t even look like they were touched! My husband and I were very unsatisfied about this. – Hence the importance of GETTING EVERYTHING IN WRITING!!!!! When I voiced my dissatisfaction about this to ORLANDO F., he said that the service people “did the best with the tools they had”. I told him that his response was “hard to believe seeing as our family friend could have done a better job”. ORLANDO F. then quickly contacted MIKE D. once again and explained the situation. I then personally spoke with MIKE D. as he said that they could “do it again to make me happy, but it’ll come out the same”. He also sounded offended that I was questioning his people’s workmanship. I assured him that I did not mean to insult, but simply wanted to express my dissatisfaction as it was VISIBLY EVIDENT that the scratches weren’t serviced. I then personally spoke to JOHN B., and it was HE who said that he would take care of everything to ensure our satisfaction. He then co-worked with CAROL B. and noted down every scratch on the vehicle and even a couple scratches that I didn’t initially notice! CAROL B. was extremely professional, polite, and thorough! – She is amazing at her job as SHE was the one who told ORLANDO F. that she wanted everything in writing before we left again. After WRITING EVERYTHING DOWN (thanks to JOHN B. and CAROL B.), and paying the remaining fee, we arranged a different day drop-off to fix the vehicle and left. My husband dropped off the Rav4 one early morning (at 6am) and left it for the day. When he returned to pick it up at 4pm, they STILL weren’t done – HUH? My husband waited an additional 30 mins before he was able to take the Rav4. – This made us think that our vehicle was a “rush-job”, but nonetheless when we checked it over, majority of the scratches were gone. The extremely noticeable scratches on the side passenger door and trunk were completely faded out and it looked perfect. There were a couple scratches (initially fainter than the trunk and passenger door ones) that looked over-looked – because it doesn’t make any sense that the service people were able to get the deeper trunk scratches out, but not the fainter ones - but nonetheless, my husband and I were satisfied with the visibly-evident improvement compared to our initial pick-up. Thus we did not complain any further and drove away as a satisfied customer – thanks to JOHN B. and CAROL B.! Overall, we rate our experience a 3/5 star because the experience wasn’t horrible, but could have been significantly improved if greater steps towards professionalism were taken. – Specifically employees being knowledgeable about their products, employees listening to customer concerns without feeling offended, and writing EVERYTHING DOWN to ensure customer follow-up and satisfaction. All-in-all potential customers, don’t be afraid to SPEAK-UP if unsatisfied; BOTH parties involved should walk away happy in any business deal! More

Dave De Giovanni in Sales couldn’t have made it an easier transition. He took his time, went over every detail of the car until I felt comfortable, and showed me a number of things to look for in a used car that I'd never once thought to check. A great salesman and a man whom you can tell is passionate about finding the right vehicle for the right person. Of course I have to mention Adam in Finance, as well. Adam shares many of the qualities I appreciated about Dave’s service. He took his time with me to go over the details and made no attempt to push me into a plan I wasn’t comfortable with. In fact, he went out of his way to let me find what best worked for me and gave me the information I needed to feel secure in that decision. 100% would recommend to others. More
