Andreanne (Fiat sales specialist) is a gem and her enthusiasm and love for the brand are infectious. The other sales staff all seem to be equally enthusiastic, sharing excitement about new models that have come in, and all interactions with the sales staff have been exactly the way I like it: immediately helpful and proactive but not pushy; they seem to realize that although you may not be in the position to buy today, a positive experience is likely to mean a return visit when you are ready to buy. The large size of the showroom also means that you don't feel like there's more salespeople than customers. We've had service done a couple of times to our Fiat, including a repair to some rubber stripping, likely caused by winter freezing water and some squeaky brakes. Both repairs were done quickly and without issue. Our beloved Fiat was returned to us in the same clean condition we dropped it off (no greasy fingerprints). My only complaints are that since the dealership is way out in the West end of Ottawa (and we live downtown), it's a drive to get there, and both times we wanted to buy parts (paint for stone chips and plastic tray for the trunk) both had to be ordered as I guess they don't keep a lot of inventory on hand. This could be a Chrysler thing, though. We've recommended Capital Dodge/Fiat to our friends. Hopefully management at the dealership maintains the same caliber of staff and client experience as it's become our favourite dealership! More
This occurred a couple of years ago, but the issue was never resolved to my satisfaction. I was taking my 2007 Jeep Wrangler to Capital Dodge for service since they were closer to my employer after I swit never resolved to my satisfaction. I was taking my 2007 Jeep Wrangler to Capital Dodge for service since they were closer to my employer after I switched jobs. I had it in for an issue related to the oil level warning which they incorrectly diagnosed. While it was in the noted that my front universal joints were going an could be replaced under warranty. I only had 4000km left to my warranty, so I said go ahead and order the parts and schedule the appointment. The following week the Jeep went back in to have the universals replaced. When I picked the vehicle up I noticed a 'grabbing' in the brakes when I applied them. When I got to work, I backed into my parking spot and quickly visually inspected the front end components. When I left work I got onto the highway and proceeded home. When I got off the highway and braked to slow, the vehicle locked up at 60 kph. When I released the brakes, everything returned to normal and the vehicle moved correctly. I used down shifting to time my approach to lights so I wouldn't have to use the brakes. When I arrived home, I found that one of the front callipers had not been correctly re-attached and the lower bolt went missing. So every time I braked the calliper would grab the rotor and then pivot up into the rim. The rim was destroyed, air was leaking from a huge gash in the rim. I had the vehicle towed back to the dealership and had to fight to get a reprimand placed on the mechanics file. When I got the vehicle back, I found that they had damaged the inner axle seal, which they denied and refused to fix. More
I have owned a Cherokee and 2 Grand Cherokees, all of which have been serviced at Capital. My most recent Jeep is a 2011 Grand Cherokee. At 30,000km a pulsation developed when braking and it was diagnosed as warped rotors with all needing to be replaced. I had not had this problem on my previous Jeeps so I spoke to Kyle (Service Manager) about it and he advised me to contact Chrysler Customer Care. I explained my case to Chrysler and they contacted Kyle who went the distance for me. Chrysler agreed to replace all pads and rotors at their expense even though the parts were well over the 20,000km warranty for brakes. During the replacement, another brake component was found to be defective. Kyle had a replacement part rushed from Toronto and sent one of his staff to pick it up in Arnprior (as far west as the Toronto deliveries come). They kept the Jeep overnight but I was given a loaner without any hassle. I have an 11 year history with Capital and they have always addressed my concerns promptly and happily. More
I was on vacation in Ottawa, had purchased a new Vehicle at Peel Chrysler which I had issues with from day 1. Brought the vehicle to Capital Dodge to have them investigate vibration issue, they balanced my at Peel Chrysler which I had issues with from day 1. Brought the vehicle to Capital Dodge to have them investigate vibration issue, they balanced my tires and sent me on my way. Took the vehicle back out and vibration was still the same. Wen't back the next day, sat in service department for 6 hours! At no point did my service advisor Bradley ever provide me an update or offered to drive me somewhere so I could pickup lunch or coffee. After sitting there for 6 hours they came back, told me it was fixed, took the vehicle back out for test drive, same issue. Returned to dealer where i was told there was nothing more they could do and that I needed to contact the tire manufacture and get them to look at the tires as they were defective. Called tire manufacture, she right away advised that it is the dealers responsibility to contact them as this is a new vehicle. Peel chysler contacted Capital Dodge to try and get them to work with Kumho to figure this out but they more or less washed there hands of the issue and refused to cooperate. " What dealer in there right mind allows a customer to drive off their lot with defective tires?" All this to say I was not impressed with Capital Dodge and my service advisor Bradley. I have never in my life sat 6 hours in a service department and have my service advisor walk pass me countless times pretending I don't even exist. This is my first Dodge and it's been a total dissaster. My advice,, don't buy a Dodge and if you do do not buy or have it serviced at Capital Dodge. More
