Robert our sales rep was very caring and went above and beyond to provided us with the best service. Especially during this time of supply shortages and recalls. What should have been a strait forward deal became a roller coaster ride and a bit overwhelming for us and had to be frustrating for our sales rep Robert. We had selected a used Ford Escape which was at another dealership. Robert checked, and verified that it was still available. We proceeded with the purchase agreement and went home and waited for pick up date. Robert called us the next morning to advise that this vehicle had been sold to someone else, however the system had not been updated as sold when Robert checked. Robert located another Ford Escape for us. So we proceed with another purchase agreement and were told it would take a week to ten days. That was ok with us. However it took longer due to a back order on the part to get it certified. A week later Robert showed up at our home to advise that he could not sell us this vehicle as there has been a RECALL on these Ford Escape, He had located another vehicle for us to test drive, so again we proceeded with another purchase agreement,(always staying with in our price range) Two days later Robert came to our home to advise that this 3rd vehicle had major mechanical issues and could not sell this vehicle to us. He did bring us another newer used vehicle that was certified and ready to go for us to test drive. We went to the dealership. Robert and his team reviewed our situation and offered a solution and options. We finalized the purchase agreement and came home with a beautiful Red vehicle. We were driving north on the 400 from the GTA when our 2017 Escape started having problems. We quickly looked up a Ford dealership in the Barrie area and found Barrie Ford. There we met Shannon Turkington 2017 Escape started having problems. We quickly looked up a Ford dealership in the Barrie area and found Barrie Ford. There we met Shannon Turkington. She understood that we were worried about getting to our family holiday and had the car loaded with groceries, bedding, clothes etc. This was about noon on a Monday and because of previously booked appointments, she advised that the technicians might not even be able to look at it for several hours. Our spirits were sinking fast. We had all the provisions for the family dinner that night with us. Shannon asked us if we could leave the car with them for the week and rent a car to take us the rest of the way. She even called several car rental places and was able to arrange a car of comparable size to our Escape as it was loaded to the brim with our cottage supplies. She then drove us in the Barrie Ford shuttle vehicle to the rental agency. Once we transferred all of our belongings into the rental car, we were on our way again. Shannon called the next day to advise what the technicians had discovered about our car problems and what the cost would be. She then called a day or so later to say the car was ready. As a Service Advisor, Shannon is top notch. She helped us get on our way quickly and did found the rental car. As people not familiar with Barrie, we could have been left to fend for ourselves. Shannon made sure we were well looked after and we felt we were not alone in having to deal with our sudden problem. Barrie Ford, you have a winner in Shannon. More
