First let me say that we are extremely happy with the Tahoe! The dealership is another story. To begin with, the online info on the truck had GLARING mistakes. Considering we used that as the initial r Tahoe! The dealership is another story. To begin with, the online info on the truck had GLARING mistakes. Considering we used that as the initial reason to pursue the truck, we were disappointed in the inaccuracy of the description. When asked about the features listed that the truck did not in fact have, we were told that they use software and online comparisons to post the description. I would think for a vehicle of that price, a physical review of the truck for accuracy in the information would be standard practice. Once we drove the truck and made the decision to purchase it, we were told it came with no floor mats, and only one set of keys. (floor mats were listed on the online description) This is noteworthy as both nice floor mats and an additional key fob are costly for that vehicle and would be an additional out of pocket expense! When I questioned only one set of keys, a search was done to verify no additional set was "hiding" somewhere in the dealership. I was given the name of a person that could provide a second Fob and key for the truck. I did deal with him and found him to be extremely courteous and professional, but that transaction cost additional money out of pocket. During the signing of the paperwork, there was no offer by the sales person or the financial person to attempt to reduce my unhappiness with the "add ons" I was facing. It's also important to state at this point that list price was paid for the vehicle. I was advised prior to looking at the truck that there was no price negotiation available. If I wanted the vehicle it would be at the advertised price. To a point I accepted that fact, understanding the current availability of vehicles. Supply and demand is a reality right now. However I feel that the dealership had a total lack of concern for my pleasure with the buying experience as long as they sold the truck. At the very least, I feel the sales person could have spoken to her manager on my behalf to attempt to supply these items. No attempt was made. An email was sent to the dealership outlining our displeasure, which prompted a call from the general manager. I explained my position, and rather than employ excellent customer service tactics to improve my view of their dealership, he denegraded the person who had written the email. (a family relative who located the vehicle initially for me) I found this much less than professional, as this relative works as an independent auto broker and has provided that dealership with five vehicle sales in addition to mine! I will say that at the end of the conversation, the general manager begrudgingly offered to send me a set of official Chevrolet floor mats "if that's what this is all about". This statement told me all I needed to know about his understanding of my displeasure with my buying experience. I will say that it has been a long time since I dealt with any auto dealership to purchase a vehicle. Ordinarily I have purchased from private owners. I can't say if this dealership is specifically tone deaf concerning their customer's buying experience or it is systemic within the industry, but either way I won't be returning to this dealership for a vehicle.
