Truck Purchase I been uncertain for awhile about selling my 2007 tundra and switching to Chev. Reason of thinking of a GM truck is that I qualify on preferred pricin I been uncertain for awhile about selling my 2007 tundra and switching to Chev. Reason of thinking of a GM truck is that I qualify on preferred pricing as my employer is on that list (basically invoice cost). I chosen not to purchase from Sherwood GM as I had a bad experience from them before so I decided some day I would visit Sherwood Chev. Prior to visiting the dealership I had inquired online with them via email (along with some competing dealerships) requesting if they would disclose my preferred pricing via email rather then driving around visiting various dealerships (wasting my time). Zach had been replying to a couple emails and the replies were prompt and straight forward. Some other dealerships, their only reply basically was "when can you come in to visit?" Basically, the impression I had from the other dealerships was, either come visit us or don't bother me. Sherwood Chev seemed to handle the email inquiries a lot better than some of the other GM dealerships in the Edmonton area I had reached out via email, and seem not as demanding to get you into their doors to make a "deal" Now as soon as GM offered the 0% financing, I figured now was the time if I were to purchase a truck. I driven to the dealership and started wandering the lot, basically looking around at the trucks in their lots. It wasn't long until someone spotted me and greeted me to the dealership and if I could use some assistance. I requested if Zach was in that day, but he wasn't so I seen another salesman, Ian. Ian had showed me a couple trucks but the first truck he had showed me basically was the truck I wanted, so we went inside to see Chris about the purchase cost. Chris was up front about the cost of the truck and any extras the dealership can offer to "sweeten" the deal. There was no hassling on the pricing as it was the best they can do and I had compared with other dealerships on similar trucks. So I left the dealership with an idea of the cost of the truck I was interested in and there was no discussion as other dealerships just like the game of "what payments you what? how much a month you want to pay?" or trying to upsell a truck I did not want. I had the impression that the way Chis handled the deal was respectable and professional. After I got home with the purchase price info, I had a kijiji inquiry of a guy wanting to purchase my truck (I listed it fairly and had lots of interest). This guy wanted to purchase the tundra early next week and that would work with my work schedule. So after talking with my boss (wife), she was onboard with me to purchase a new truck, so I headed back to the dealership to test drive the truck. I was scheduled to work a night shift that day (out in ft sask) and the dealership did not hesitate to allow me to take the truck over night for a test drive and I was to return the truck the next day after I had woken up. I was very impressed with the truck and the Chev half ton far exceeded my expectations. So after the next week as soon as I received payment from the sale of the tundra, I called Ian to inform him I am heading to the dealership to pick up the truck. The dealership had processed the financing, detailing of the truck, and delivery very quickly ( just about an hour or so) and I was out the door with my new chev. Only complaint that I may add was there was an effort at the financing to sell a 3M package in the deal as it was hidden. I had to inform at a couple times that I want no extras of 3M, protection, or warranty. Every dealership like to sell those extras, but I had no interest in those packages and just wanted to finance the cost of the truck as it was in the offer to purchase deal. Financing seem irritated as he had to reprint an extra bill of sale as they tried to push the extra 3M protection at about a cost greater than $1000. So be very careful about the finance department selling the extras you may not be aware of. Also, Id like to comment on the service department. A day after I had the truck I went to open the sunroof only to find it did not work. I had located the fuse to swap out but that wasn't the problem, so I had to schedule a service. I called Sheila, advisor I met on the service visit on delivery of truck, and they were more than willing to fix this ASAP and done so very quick. Overall, I would recommend this dealership and who knows, perhaps in ten years I'll buy another truck from them. I own two GM vehicles that I plan on getting all the service done there as the other vehicle (Acadia) I own, the dealer I purchased from does not have a quick lube bay. The option of having a quick lube bay is very appealing in my option of a dealership to purchase from as Id like to "reward" a dealership who offer me a great deal on a vehicle, with my service needs. Don't want to sell vehicles. Normally I wouldn't do this, but I found it pretty unprofessional. Today my fiancé decided she wanted to purchase a new Chevy Trax for her new vehicle Normally I wouldn't do this, but I found it pretty unprofessional. Today my fiancé decided she wanted to purchase a new Chevy Trax for her new vehicle. I decided to take a look on Kijiji and informed them I was looking for a Trax. Kijiji then referred me to Sherwood Chevrolet, it was a little further away but I was willing to drive due to the great reviews. I filled out all of my information, and requested them to call me asap. I waited 2 hours with nothing but an automated email. After that I chatted with one of their online representatives, I informed her that I was looking to purchase today. I told them what I was looking for and requested that they either call or email me. The representative informed me that she had sent my request to the Internet manager and I would be contacted shortly. Unfortunately, 2 hours later I still hadn't been contacted. I could have called, but it seems a little weird that they didn't want to sell a vehicle. I am surprised at their lack of initiative. Either way I ended up going to Edmonton Motors and purchasing and brand new Trax today. More

Worst in Customer Service I have never been treated so poorly before in my life. Stated out dealing with Bret who then referred me to Erik for a pre-approval this was all done I have never been treated so poorly before in my life. Stated out dealing with Bret who then referred me to Erik for a pre-approval this was all done last Saturday July 4. I was told I would hear back by Monday July 6 with an update on the pre-approval. Never heard anything back so I expressed my concerns to Zach Menzel who stated sales rep was off for a couple of days and would be in touch on Wednesday July 8. By Thursday still have not heard anything so I emailed both my sales rep and Zach with no response to an update. It is now a week later and still no response. The lack in customer service is disgusting, I have never been treated with such a lack of respect before in my life. I took my business elsewhere and will never consider a chev dealership in the future More

The staff at Sherwood Park Chevrolet made me feel right at home as soon as I walked into the showroom. I went in wanting to see the different levels of trucks from the lower end to the completely loaded m at home as soon as I walked into the showroom. I went in wanting to see the different levels of trucks from the lower end to the completely loaded models. The sales team were very accommodating and showed me several different trucks. This allowed me to check out all of the different options that I might want to get in a new truck. They then help me narrow down my search to a couple of trucks within my price range and the options that I wanted. At no time did I feel pressured or hurried. Any questions I had were answered quickly. A special thanks to Heidi Barlow for her patience and help to get the best financing plan that would work with the budget I had going in. Also I would like to thank Jason Ruffell and Logan Read for all their help and for entertaining my 6 year old son while i was working on the financing. Jason and Logan both stayed three and a half hours after their shift to accommodate my schedule. Little things like this is just one of the reasons why I would recommend Sherwood Park Chevrolet to anyone looking for a new vehicle . More

I recently bought a new Corvette Stingray from this dealership, and was treated top notch by the three sales staff/managers I listed on this form. Some of the criteria I'm assessing won't apply to a dealership, and was treated top notch by the three sales staff/managers I listed on this form. Some of the criteria I'm assessing won't apply to all vehicles but are unique in that in this instance it's a summer-only car that was in very high demand as its the first year since a complete makeover of the Corvette. As you read more you'll understand why I'm saying this One example, the fact that it's a summer-only car it comes with high performance tires that can crack in the extreme cold. While the car was being transported to the dealership the tires did in fact crack. Zach pointed this out to me and added to bring it back in the spring and they will replace all four tires. Dealerships in the north who take deliveries of Corvettes during the winter also face the problem where the owner either might ask them to hold on to it indoors until the snow melts, or have it delivered to their house during the winter. Even if the dealer keeps your car indoors for the winter, the downside is that you can't see the car (as often) or show your friends, take pictures, etc. until the winter is over. Also some people might rub up against, damaging the paint interior by sitting in it with dirty shoes, etc. And not all dealers even have room to keep your car indoors for the rest of the winter. To avoid all this, in most instances the owner flatbeds the car from their dealership to their house (its about a $300-$400 charge though). Sherwood Park Chevrolet covered this charge for me, even though I know of other Corvette buyers who were not given this option (where the new owner had to pay the shipping fee themselves or take the risk of driving it home in the snow/ice). As the time to get the four cracked tires replaced is nearing, the dealership also offered to cover the $300-$400 flatbed charge back from my house to their shop instead of expecting me to drive it back. The owner's manual does say that the cracks are cosmetic only, so I would guess that GM is not including that shipping fee under their warranty coverage and instead they are covering it themselves as a favour to me. So in these two examples alone I saved $600-$800. On top of that they gave me a few extra perks that I wasn't offered before at other GM dealerships when buying a new car, worth about another $500-$600. They also sold me the vehicle at MSRP and no higher, despite that many dealers in Canada (and the U.S.) were charging MSRP + a premium of $5-$10k simply because they know they can, due to demand for the 2014 Corvette exceeding supply from GM. The communication was also great throughout the process, they regularly updated me with the status of my order, when it was built, when it was being shipped to them, etc. Finally, they could have easily sold out their allocation of 2014 Corvettes with only fully loaded 3LT models, and despite that I ordered a relatively base model they still gave me just as good service, made me feel I was being prioritized, and did not try to upsell me on additional options in a pushy way like some other salespeople do. Overall I would strongly recommendation Zach, Jason or Tomas to anyone who is purchasing a vehicle. More
