Purchasing a new/used vehicle. First time customer. My family went for the first time to Halifax Chrysler looking for a new vehicle to meet our needs that had changed with a growing child. We had been to several dealerships and several different sales people over a month long period after doing our homework. Our experiences were lukewarm to quite negative and surprising. We were strictly just looking at models and numbers by the time we went to Halifax Chrysler and trying to ignore sales people and dealership 'slant' of marketing. I was completely surprised when we met Mr. Jake Bernard and various other staff at the dealership. They were sincere and pleasant, with no one wrapped around my leg to drag outside if I didn't want to buy that day on the spot. Jake won us over as a person for being normal, sincere, and helpful without being solicitous. He had no agenda in what we should buy (or at other dealerships, what they were uncomfortably obvious in -trying- to sell us.). When we committed to a purchase his demeanor, and that of the dealership, did not change. They were no more trying to rush us out the door than they were trying to keep us when we first came in. And went in and out several more times. The service was great all around simply. Small things were just seamlessly done before the fact, again, without smacking of fake effort. It really is how they do business. I was surprised I left my previous dealership of two vehicles, but Halifax Chrysler is simply better. Better numbers, better staff. What else is there? We will be looking for a second vehicle soon, and a trade-in in 3 to 5 years on our current vehicle and I have no reason to believe I will look elsewhere first. Excellent experience with Nick Marchand I found a car on line and sent an email. Nick got back to me very quickly and set up a time to test drive the Corolla. next to it was a Jetta that l I found a car on line and sent an email. I left to talk it over with my husband, and phoned later. nick stayed long after he was supposed to be finished and patiently went over the details. Hopefully we won't be buying a car again in the near future, but Nick was by far the best sales associate I have ever dealt with in the auto business, and I will spread the word. More

My 2013 Ford Edge Sel I live in Sydney and while I do try to keep purchases local, I decided to try some dealerships in Halifax. I looked at a lot of vehicles and I knew wh I live in Sydney and while I do try to keep purchases local, I decided to try some dealerships in Halifax. I looked at a lot of vehicles and I knew what I wanted and although many tried to persuade me, I stayed firm. Dave came highly recommended through a family member so I went to see him. The vehicle was everything I wanted but slightly above where I wanted to be. So I went back to Cape Breton and for 6 weeks, looked around inquired etc and at the end of the day...all I could think about was the Ford Edge at Halifax Chrysler. It had everything I wanted and we finally came to a price and interest rate I was very happy about. The vehicle we thought had sold and the other potential buyer changed their mind, so in my opinion, it was meant to be! I emailed Peter back and forth and was very easy to deal with so when I drove up to the get the vehicle, all the documents were prepared properly and ready to be signed. I liked how there was not a pretentious feel about the place and everyone felt welcome. I work in the financial industry so I was familiar with many of the forms and procedures and they passed with flying colours.
