In his spare time he enjoys spending time with his family at the campground in the summer and going on ATV rallies all over Nova Scotia as well as travelling South in the Winter.

Great Group in Service - and in General I recently had a major problem with my 2011 four door Jeep and was very upset when I was told what the bill would be. I felt that this particular issu I recently had a major problem with my 2011 four door Jeep and was very upset when I was told what the bill would be. I felt that this particular issue should not be on my shoulders as my Jeep is a later model high end rig with very low kilometres and very well taken care of. I went the initial route of having two separate dealerships do their own diagnosis and then hitting them with the fact that I am a five time Jeep owner and very loyal to the line... for now. I got the best rates on fixing the problem that each dealership could offer - and then went to Corporate to see what they could do. At that level I got the "Corporate Script" from a young individual who obviously knew nothing about the mechanics of the problem and even less about the warranties and room for movement on the customer service level loyalty options - not their fault, but frustrating. So while this was all going on, a lovely lady at this dealership (Ramona) was making calls to the other dealership and working "with" their competing partners who are owned by the same organization - but separate dealers. I then get a message directly from the GM (Eric Stanley) who asks me to call the service manager (Dave Gibson) in order to hear what they have decided to do. I wasn't too optimistic but made the call. Before I tell the outcome, I will say that I am the first to call out a dealership, especially the service department and can be very outspoken when I feel wronged. I have had small issues in the past with service centers as we all have, but at this one they were always sorted fairly and I was always taken care of. In this case I thought I would be hung out to dry. The warranty didn't cover and the mileage, although low, didn't either. The end result was a collaboration between these two dealerships and Corporate - one covering parts and the other covering labour! The only thing I paid for was the oil change, which was due anyway. In this case, this group went above and beyond to sort my issue. I can't say if this is the way everyone gets treated, as each issue is different but I couldn't be more satisfied. As a result I have my wife's van going in tomorrow for rotors and brakes - the trust is back ! Although, I'm sure I will have to pay the full bill on this one ;) Lawrence Conrad Halifax, NS More

Service Department I just wanted to say what a great group of service employees you have including your Shuttle Driver Fred. I purchased my van last June second hand (p I just wanted to say what a great group of service employees you have including your Shuttle Driver Fred. I purchased my van last June second hand (private sale) with only 40,000km on it and a week later my engine light came on. The previous owner told us that he had the same issue, but that he had it into Dodge Bridgewater and it was fixed. I called Bridgewater Dodge who didn't really want to deal with me even though they were the dealer it was originally purchased from. They "fixed" it and the light came on again, so back I went. This went on for about 5 times. By this time the whole service crew was annoyed with me, as if I personally wanted to sit at a dealership or wanted my engine light to come on. The minute I walked in the door you could practically hear the eye roll of the front desk service counter. At one point I actually said "Do you think I want to be here anymore than you want me to be here!" I think the fact that it was a warranty issue meant they were wasting unpaid time on the vehicle. I finally had had enough after getting it "fixed" only to have my engine light back on less than a week later. I made an appointment at your Bayer's Lake location and was treated with respect from the moment I arrived! Not only did you kindly deal with me and my van issue, but you took time to give my 2 year old a dinky car and colouring book. You left my file open in case the light came on again, which it did a week later, BUT, you fit me in no problem and once again treated me with respect and care. You have an INCREDIBLE group of service employees and I will highly recommend you! I work in Management and know that staff too often are told about the bad things that happen but are not praised for the good. Please pass on to the staff how amazing they truly are and to never lose their incredible customer service values. I will be a buyer from your dealership on my next purchase for sure!!!! Great overall experience, lately been pleasure to deal with! I seem to frequent this place more often than I would like and have had a few different experiences with a few items but lately the service department I seem to frequent this place more often than I would like and have had a few different experiences with a few items but lately the service department has been A1! I drive a lifted Jeep Wrangler with larger tires (which to some dealerships (wrongly) would try and void certain parts of warranty ) and you can tell I don't always drive on the paved roads, I do not abuse my Jeep and I always get my services done on time and fully, and it is still my daily driver but I do take it in the woods occasionally, and you know what - IAJTYWU Dave Gibson specifically, went over and above what I would consider to be reasonable customer service, he provided me with, what I would consider to be exceptional customer service. He even called me in to his office to discuss the issues with me and to advise me what he was willing to do to get me on the road asap. I cannot say enough great things about the service department in the last 6 months or so, and I really cant thank Dave enough for being upfront and honest with me about my specific situation. I am an active member of the Nova Scotia Jeep Club and some folks have had bad past experiences with Halifax Chrysler but I have since posted asking people to give them another chance and see the difference for themselves. Kudos to the service department for keeping me as likely a lifetime customer for my service needs. I didn't have a great purchase experience, but the service team has restored my faith in their team! Well done folks, keep up the great work in the service department! More
