We purchased a slightly used 2017 Toyota Highlander Limited from "On The Park" and dealt with Bob Gilbert during the transaction. The entire process from initial telephone contact, vehicle test drive, negotiations, financing and delivery was an absolute pleasure. Bob has been doing this a long time and you can tell. He is an honest no BS straight shooter which we really appreciated. This wasn't our first rodeo and can't stand the greasy car salesman making dumb sales pitches and using pressure tactics. Bob made us feel comfortable. He spoke realistically and told us things that not only made sense but quite frankly I already knew (knowing the business sort of speak). People basically already know what they want before even walking through the door, so all they really need is a great person to assist them in obtaining that need. What makes a great salesperson? Knowledge of the product(s) they are selling, LISTENING to their customer, creating a comfortable no pressure environment and executing the sale in a timely manner; all with the customers highest satisfaction in mind. When I was doing my initial check with the Sales Manager, he noticed a small dent in the door (I didn’t see it) and then he offered, without me saying anything, that he would reimburse me the cost to fix it. He displayed excellent product knowledge, asked open questions and zero-ed in quickly to a solution to our need, displayed excellent objections handling, made eff excellent product knowledge, asked open questions and zero-ed in quickly to a solution to our need, displayed excellent objections handling, made effective use of the trial close and ultimately closed the order. When we came to pick up our purchase, he completed the paperwork competently, spent over an hour teaching us how to use the myriad features of the RAV4 and did the initial setup of setup our AM preferences and navigation frequent locations. On Oct 3rd, 2020, I took my car for service, and when they finished, a staff person went to sanitized my car, and scratched the dashboard on 2 places. I went back the same day and reported it to Amanda, they finished, a staff person went to sanitized my car, and scratched the dashboard on 2 places. I went back the same day and reported it to Amanda, she told me right away that they do not touch the dashboard. I asked for a solution, and she said that she will let the service manager know about the issue, to be reviewed a new appointment An appointment was set up for Oct 13, and when I presented my complain to Mr. Ng, he told me that he was informed about the issue and that no one from his team cleaned and scratched the dashboard. I clarified thay this happened there, and at the end of the discussion he kept implying that I was a liar, and that I scratched the dashboard myself. This is not the proper way to deal with a customer issue, by just denying responsibility right away, and implying that I'm a liar. More
