Overall Experience Had a wonderful experience buying my first new car which I had saved up for. Maranda was attentive, cheerful, and not aggressive. It has only been the last few weeks with the service department that has really been a huge disappointment. After my car battery died (on my new 2015 Escape that only had 500KM on it) I researched issues on why that might have happened. I noticed my gauges fluttering while the car was shut off the weekend before and found out that similar issues had happened with other Ford Escapes regarding the instrument clusters that would drain the battery. I put all of this information down when I dropped off the car and it was ignored. They replaced the battery and reset the instrument panel and said there was no drain. After going away for the long weekend and having my car sit for 3 days- low and behold - my battery was dead again. Had to boost my new car again and take it into Maclin. The mechanic told the service supervisor that there was no drain - it was only on the insistence of Denise that he looked again and finally found it. I have now been waiting for 2 days for a new cluster to be couriered up and installed. I will not be taking my car here anymore for service. It's too bad as I had such a good time buying the car, although now I'm wondering how they did not know about the battery dying when I bought the car. Seems to me if it was sitting for any length of time the battery would have been drained so why was I given this car?????? More
