When he calculated the monthly cost and showed the financing term, I asked him what interest rate he used to calculate it and he said “I don’t know”. He kept pressuring us to make an offer saying he would take it to his manager, and once we did, he stood up, extended his hand and said nice to meet you, have a good night, and showed us out of his office. We were genuinely interested in buying the car but took our business elsewhere. More

Salesperson came back and said someone had just put a deposit in it, but wanted to show us other options. We left because I’m not interested in being played. The car is still posted on their website a day later. Very shifty practices. More

Bought a 2026 bronco paid downpayment they asked for to secure the vehicle. Finalized all paperwork. Got financing approved delivery date set insurance applied to the vehicle. Night before my fiance got a secure the vehicle. Finalized all paperwork. Got financing approved delivery date set insurance applied to the vehicle. Night before my fiance got a txt from Carter asking her to have a quick phone call. During this phone call carter told my fiancé the bronco was sold. They broke a lawfully binding contract. I recommend not buying from this dealership. Specally after reading other reviews stating the exact same outcome. More
Went to deal on a 26 King Ranch they advertised for 86 thousand in Aoto Trader. Called ahead booked an appointment with a sales person to come in and check the truck out. Recieved at least 3 calls after t thousand in Aoto Trader. Called ahead booked an appointment with a sales person to come in and check the truck out. Recieved at least 3 calls after that to make sure I was coming in. Arrived for my appointment and the truck I wanted to look at wasn't in. It was on a test drive. The sales person tried to sell me to a platinum. Didn't want the platinum after the test drive. Asked to see the king ranch and now it was on an extended test drive and wasn't available, but they had a red one in transit that they would make me a fantastic deal on. Negotiated a final price and put down a 5K deposit. Was told the truck would be in within a week. This was a Thursday. I was very happy with the deal. Monday recieved a phone call from Carter asking if i would be interested in another truck as the one I put the down payment on was no longer available. Carter kept asking if I would take a vehicle with less opitions but would not commit to a price. He kept asking me what I wanted and I told him I wanted the truck he sold me on Thursday. He then told me how hard he had been working trying to find me tje same truck but none were available. He did offer to factory order me one but again would not commit to the deal.we made and said it would be 3 months before it arrived. Within 10 minutes of hanging with Carter found the identical truck at a reputable dealer. When I showed them the deal Carter made they immediately said there is no way they could match it without loosing 4K. I ended up buying the truck from them but had to pay more. It sure seems to me that Macklin is playing a silly game of bait and switch and can't be trusted. Simply put, there hand shake and word are worthless. More
Was looking to purchase a new Ford escape at the dealer. Dealt with a kid he was great a little bit of an green horn with knowledge but was very friendly. After looking and expressing interest in the veh Dealt with a kid he was great a little bit of an green horn with knowledge but was very friendly. After looking and expressing interest in the vehicle the sales kid had to being his manger Carter. We stated to Carter that we will be paying with cash but we needing some time with the to get the cash. Carter was oddly pushy about financing, which made no sense when we first started stating that we would bring in cash. We stated to Carter that we are interested in the the car and even put down a good will $1000 on the car. We had a few requests for the car since the car has been sitting on the lot for a long time, you can see the dust and dirt and low low km 31 km we asked Carter if he can put the car into service so that they can check the batteries and have service check over the car and software updates that are required for new hybrid cars. While we were waiting on our end financing to come though Carter started to become pushy and requsting daily when we can come pick up. We reminded him that we would like the car serviced and had requests and also we are requesting the paperwork from service department for our records. It took over a week to get the financing to complete we got the cash, and Carter was continuously pushy about the financing and when asked if the servicing is done he would say it is complete all that he is waiting for is us to get there. We came back in a week with the cash, we again asked if everything was completed he assured us everything was good but one small thing its not detailed his girls had to goto the stampede and couldnt detail my new car. We were ok with that and went to give financing office for paperwork and pay. (Depac is awsome) Money was given and now we can see our new car. Ok its still a bit dirty, asked for the paperwork of the servicing that was requested he didnt have any and had many excuses. The place was closing soo so we had to go and couldnt push for the paperwork more. Bought it home the next day when the Ford wifi kicked in software for the car started to partially download the required software and all of these warning lights came on. Opened the hood of the car to see the engine was still covered in dust! NOTHING was done on the car and Carter lied about thr car being serviced he was only interested in make the sale and pushing his financing. We had to bring thr car to our local Ford dealership to find out that nothing was done on the car. Cam clark updated the cars software fully and the check engine lights came on and we also found out that there were a pile of errors and are car sensors were not working. Thank you cam Clark for fixing all these issues. Cam Clark's assessment was that and they were positive thst this car wqs never touched when it came to the maclin lot. No thank you maclin and Carter if you would listened a little bit rather then trying to push your nonsense financing and not let me bring home a car with issues you could of gotten a better rating. And we gave you over a week and we put a good will on the car also and it was not like we were unwilling to pay for the servicing if needed. It is best to avoid the sales department but the financing department was great. We will be giving a bad score also on Ford's survey, Carter seemed oddly concerned about the Ford survey. More

We value loyalty and appreciate doing business with honest, reliable people, which is why we continued returning to Maclin Ford and recommending them to friends and family. Unfortunately, after our recent experiences, we will be taking our business elsewhere in the future. Maclin Ford offers a local referral bonus program for personal vehicle purchases. We were told about this program as part of the incentive to purchase through them and to refer others. The referral bonus is $200, and in the past it was honoured and appreciated, especially since we frequently recommended Maclin Ford to others. Last fall, one of our extended family members purchased a vehicle and listed us as the referral. The salesperson confirmed we would receive the referral bonus, but we never did. Later that same fall, another family member purchased a vehicle, again naming us as the referral. Once again, the salesperson confirmed the bonus would be sent, and once again, it never arrived. In both cases, the referral bonus was confirmed during conversations with staff, but there was no follow-through. When we called to follow up, we were initially told, “Yes, we’ll send the referral bonus.” After it still did not arrive, we contacted them again and began getting the runaround: “I need to speak with my manager,” or “I need to check with another department.” After several follow-ups, it became clear that Maclin Ford had no intention of honouring the referral program they promoted. The issue is not so much the money itself, but the dishonesty, lack of accountability, and the amount of time wasted trying to resolve it. As long-time loyal customers, this experience was extremely disappointing. We value honest, relationship-focused businesses, and unfortunately, based on this experience, we will be taking our business elsewhere. More
I purchased a vehicle from Maclin Ford almost three weeks ago, and unfortunately the experience has been extremely disappointing from start to finish. The biggest issue has been the lack of communication and ago, and unfortunately the experience has been extremely disappointing from start to finish. The biggest issue has been the lack of communication and accountability from the sales manager once the sale was completed. After raising several concerns right away, there has been little to no follow-up. This has easily been the worst dealership experience I have ever had. The lack of transparency, poor communication, rushed process, and multiple unresolved issues made it feel like once the vehicle was sold, I no longer mattered as a customer. I would strongly recommend that anyone considering purchasing a vehicle from this dealership be very cautious and carefully review every detail before signing anything. **Also left a 1 star google review that is now not on there anymore** More

We had to go out of province to Kelowna BC as there wasn't a dealership here in Calgary that could provide the truck in the color and options that we were looking for. We are happy with our purchase and had a great experience with John, the sales person in Kelowna, who actually picked us up from the airport. We have a few small issues that need to be resolved before the 1 year anniversary and thought we would call Maclin Ford to book an appointment. I mentioned that the passenger side mirror does not adjust properly to my setting and continues to make a clicking noise as it attempts to lock in position. she advised me that it will be $180 or so for diagnostic charge if it is not covered. I inform her that it is within the year and so there should be no charge. After speaking to a technician, she tells me that he will have to look at it before confirming if there is coverage. ??? We paid almost 100K for this vehicle but I guess that's what 100K buys you nowadays. The other issues were the transmission concern, delay in gearing up, and a squealing noise on start up in cold weather. When I requested a loner vehicle, she asked me if I had Loner insurance. I always had a loner vehicle provided when I took my previous Ford's into Okotoks Ford and had never been asked if I had Loner insurance. She looked at my file and then informed that I did not have the Loner insurance and so there would be a charge of $42 and I would not be able to get an appointment until sometime in April. I said that was not an option and I would not pay and so booked an appointment a week out. After further thought and discussion, my husband called Okotoks Ford and booked an appointment with a Loner Vehicle at no cost! We live in Cranston and so the distance to Maclin in Calgary or Okotoks Ford is a wash. He then called back Maclin Ford to cancel. She did not ask why and my husband offered no reason. A review is more valuable to any new potential customers. We are brand loyal and have owned many Fords over the years including a Mustang, F-350, Edge, Escape, Focus RS to mention a few. We will NOT be servicing or Fords with Maclin in future and certainly would not entertain any future purchases with this dealership. We value exceptional service and being a sales person myself in new home sales I know the importance and value in providing that. This dealership is rated very low at 2.8. A warning! More
