I walked into the dealership to purchase new tires for my 2014 F-150 three months ago, and a couple of days later signed a deal for a new 2016 F-150. There were, uh, challenges associated with accessing and delivering the new vehicle (brought in from another dealership), but everything has been satisfactorily resolved. Graham Mitran, my sales associate, has to be the hardest working sales person I have ever met. He truly went above and beyond to address and sort out the issues. (I was at the dealership this morning at 7:00 AM for service, and Graham was already in the showroom!) I would also like to thank Aaron for backing up Graham in resolving problems. Maclin Ford, and Graham Mitran in particular have my highest recommendation. More

Chuck searched , made suggestions and found the right vehicle for my daughter. This was her first vehicle purchase and he made the experience stress free and positive. He looked after us in a professional and personal manner (the personal was a nice touch). He treated her like his own daughter and made sure she was comfortable. He lent her a car while hers was being readied. Miranda Barchman helped me at the final stages and was easy and nice to deal with. We were totally impressed with Chuck and would recommend him to everyone that wants a caring and resourceful sales agent. Thanks again Chuck. More

I would recommend Jon to anyone looking to buy a new vehicle. He was not a "pushy car salesman" that you expect walking into a dealership. He is patient, makes you feel he is in your corner and working for you and he treats you like a friend. With the positives there are are also negatives. There is one sales manager Mike who made me feel uneasy. Disappointed by the way he condescendingly presented the numbers almost lost the sale as I felt he did not care to sell the product.. When I cam back to finalize the purchase I spoke with another sales manager Kelly who was much more approachable. He was much nicer and too treated us with respect and thanked us for the business. Though some of the Machlins processes are a redundant, like having to go from the salesman to the sales manager for number and back and forth. Would have been more comfortable dealing with one person throughout the sales process. Overall I would recommend the dealer and 100% recommend Jon Thanks guys More
Didn't take us seriously, gave false information. From the moment we were introduced to Al, I don't think he took us seriously. He dragged his feet and gave short answers and although he wasn't unplea From the moment we were introduced to Al, I don't think he took us seriously. He dragged his feet and gave short answers and although he wasn't unpleasant we immediately felt like he didn't want to be talking to us. I told him I wanted to test drive the SEL/Titanium with the 3.5L V6 and the Sport with a 2.7L ecoboost (turbo). He asked me "Why?"... He never asked any qualifying questions and ended up letting us drive a 2013 when we (at the time) wanted a 2015. He said he owned an Edge himself, but did not really tell us anything about it other than it was roomy and comfortable. We took the 2013 SEL out for a drive and when we got back, we walked around the lot to try and locate a Sport we could drive. We walked by 2 people (father/son) asking for the used lot. Al told them he would be finished really soon and he would be with them in 5 minutes. Oh really? We decide not to drive the sport because we don't want to waste any more of Al's precious time. When we get back inside, Kelly Kaufmann introduces himself to us and starts asking us the questions Al should have been asking. What year? Budget? Trade-in? Model/Trim? Package addons? You know, the usual. He asked what our time-frame was and when we answered with "We are buying in the next 10 days", Al lit up. He got super talkative and wanted to do anything he could to get our business. Too late Al. We enjoyed talking to Kelly, but we didn't want to buy from Maclin after the way Al Steinkey treated us. It took us 4 days to decide and during those 4 days, I got countless phone calls from Maclin. Nathan the finance guy and Al were constantly trying to get me in to talk numbers. Wouldn't even give me a ball-park number to work with for the longest time, up until the morning of the day we bought, Al would only tell me that I would get an 'absolute, exceptional deal... Guaranteed". When I finally got a ballpark figured, it was not exceptional at all. We went to NorthStar Ford and bought our 2016 Ford Edge Sport in the colour we wanted with the packages we wanted for a price that was better than we were expecting. ($7,000 lower than what Al had ball-parked). Go talk with Marie and Sib from NorthStar Ford! They know how to treat their customers and their transparent, volume based approach to sales is way better than having some uninterested guy trying to rake you over the coals. I'll finish with some highlights of what Al told us: - There was no 2015 Ford Edge Sport, 2016 was the first year that model was offered. Just completely wrong. - We could get 0% financing up to 72 months. Wrong. 0.49% up to 60 mo / 1.49% at 72 mo through ford. When I later called him on it he admitted he was wrong, but tried to defend it by saying his first car loan was 11-12% and it was still a good deal. Sure the rate is still low, but its a $500 - $1700 price difference over the length of the term. - We could get the financing deal in conjunction with the early employee pricing deal (June 18th and the deal started July 1). Wrong. Different dealerships gave mixed stories on getting the employee pricing early, but they all agreed that it was definitely not with 0% financing. Most said the employee pricing deal makes the starting rate jump to ~2%. Anyways, we are super happy with the vehicle and deal we got at NorthStar Ford. I highly recommend them. More

We had originally began our search at another Ford dealership in Calgary and were ready to sign papers until they mislead us with information so we called Maclin Ford and spoke with Bill, asking if we could lease a vehicle and have it the same day (which is quite the request). He told us they could do it so we went in and look at their vehicle options. From the moment we stepped in the dealership our experience was professional, welcoming and friendly. Their honesty, laid-back nature and factual knowledge were very much appreciated. They did not bombard us with crazy sales tactic and their ultimate goal was to ensure we were happy. All of the staff we dealt with we super kind, professional and down to earth. At no point did we feel like they were being pushy or trying to force us into making a decision. It was truly a great experience. We would highly recommend this dealership, as it is definitely the best dealership experience we have ever had! More
