John took the time to help me choose between several models explaining to me the differences between them. On the next trip there I was accompanied by my wife and had the three vehicle I wanted here to see sitting beside each other, making it very easy to compare. Once we decided on the one we wanted he introduced us to the finance office Kristjan Trygg, who we we sat down and settled on price. This is the most comfortable vehicle shopping experience I have ever had. I would defiantly return for my next vehicle and would also highly recommend any of the above to make your experience enjoyable. More

Sales Disappointment I have been looking for a used vehicle for the last few weeks and have gone to many dealerships looking for just the right vehicle in the $8,000 - $12 I have been looking for a used vehicle for the last few weeks and have gone to many dealerships looking for just the right vehicle in the $8,000 - $12,000 range that would suit my needs. Today when I went into Maclin Ford and went through the used inventory and I saw a car that I was interested in. I caught a salesman walking through the lot and asked for the price on this car. He quoted me a price on one car that really caught my attention. I asked for the keys to have a closer look and he went into the office. A few minutes later another salesman came out and said there was a mistake in the price and it was another $5,500 more than quoted. With attitude he then told me I should be looking for cars on Kijiji and he had nothing for me. At that point, I left and called the dealership and asked for the sales department for a price on the car. The sales rep on the phone gave me a price $2,000 less and said they were very negotiable and look at any offer. I knew the first price was low, but I would have made an offer on the last price. It pays to shop around, but I would think that a dealership the size Maclin would get it right. More

The times...They are a changing 15+ year Maclin customer - Sales & Service. Have a 2015 F-150 serviced there since new. Had a recent pinion seal replaced under warranty @ 40K Km an 15+ year Maclin customer - Sales & Service. Have a 2015 F-150 serviced there since new. Had a recent pinion seal replaced under warranty @ 40K Km and after, the differential is noisy. Took it back, but they said they could not find anything after having it all day. Told me I need an alignment (which I am fine with) but not until I went to pick up. They could have called during the day when they had the vehicle (brought in at 7:00 AM) instead of me having to come back another day. Also told me I have bad tire cupping and that the alignment has been out for a while. Not once in 6 previous service appointments did anyone mention that. Also, the last oil change (Works Package) they asked if i wanted the brakes checked for an extra $XX. I asked "Don't they check the brakes as part of the works package?" and the adviser said "yes but not very well so this special check is worth it". Also had to ask for a copy of my checklist. Finally I saw some strange made up e-mail address on my account information. I know they had my correct e-mail address previously as I use to get satisfaction surveys from Ford Canada. Did they change the address so that I can't get them anymore to give possible bad feedback? Maybe just a gut feel, but since the ownership changed, there's something "greasy" going on. More

New vehicle purchase I was in the market for a new vehicle and had done my research new that the Ford Edge was one of 3 vehicles I was considering. I had originally calle I was in the market for a new vehicle and had done my research new that the Ford Edge was one of 3 vehicles I was considering. I had originally called the Finance Manager to ask about a lease transfer on an older Edge model. I then realized I would be better to trade in my older vehicle and purchased new. The dealership had many models to choose from and Adrian in sales was very helpful, professional and quick to reply to any questions and concerns that I had. Overall a good experience. More

Our vehicle was missing the Owners Manual so Chris Nechi scoured the lot and came back with a manual from an older model with the promise of finding a manual for the year of the vehicle. He was very persistent about us filing out the customer survey as I suspected that they were nearing the cut off date of an evaluation period. Two months went by with no contact. I then asked for the assistance of a Manager. Enter an even slipperier character, Neil Pearson. The promises of ordering the manual from the parts department and delivering it to our house seemed very sincere. No more updates by the end of December so I contacted Neil telling him that we were away in Arizona for 3 months. I have just reread the e-mail from promising to have the manual put in our mail box where our grandson would take it in the house. Any guess as to the delivery? Correct answer. I contacted Neil again when we returned and not so much as a response. If you value honesty and integrity please avoid this dealership as we and everyone we know will. More
