John took the time to help me choose between several models explaining to me the differences between them. On the next trip there I was accompanied by my wife and had the three vehicle I wanted here to see sitting beside each other, making it very easy to compare. Once we decided on the one we wanted he introduced us to the finance office Kristjan Trygg, who we we sat down and settled on price. This is the most comfortable vehicle shopping experience I have ever had. Sales Disappointment I have been looking for a used vehicle for the last few weeks and have gone to many dealerships looking for just the right vehicle in the $8,000 - $12 I have been looking for a used vehicle for the last few weeks and have gone to many dealerships looking for just the right vehicle in the $8,000 - $12,000 range that would suit my needs. Today when I went into Maclin Ford and went through the used inventory and I saw a car that I was interested in. I caught a salesman walking through the lot and asked for the price on this car. He quoted me a price on one car that really caught my attention. I asked for the keys to have a closer look and he went into the office. A few minutes later another salesman came out and said there was a mistake in the price and it was another $5,500 more than quoted. With attitude he then told me I should be looking for cars on Kijiji and he had nothing for me. At that point, I left and called the dealership and asked for the sales department for a price on the car. The sales rep on the phone gave me a price $2,000 less and said they were very negotiable and look at any offer. I knew the first price was low, but I would have made an offer on the last price. It pays to shop around, but I would think that a dealership the size Maclin would get it right. More
