I hope, some of my views, will offer others a unbiased opinion on I am happy to share aspects of my experience purchasing my 2017 GMC Sierra 1500. I hope, some of my views, will offer others a unbiased opinion on aspects of vehicle purchase that are not always so clear. If it helps, I can point out that I have been driving for some forty years, and, I have had the chance to purchase and keep the vehicles that I buy for a period, generally, longer than usual. As it happens to most of us, the time comes when we realize it may be time to replace the good old family vehicle. I never had a truck before, my previous family vehicle was a minivan, and I had absolutely no issues with it, but… Yes, there is something very appealing about those pickup trucks. I figured, the best thing to do, try to learn more about it. Lots of detail, lots of technical information, aggressive marketing, and, a consumer culture passionate about one and only one brand, “Mine”. After some research, I figured, I had three finalist, Chevy or GMC, Ford and Ram. By their own admission, at least in terms of my own experience, pretty much all the dealers I visited admitted that there was no sure winner. As they were trying to promote their own products, they often stated that in terms of design, technology and pricing, you can always find benefits in all of them. Of course, key factors in this experience, are the actual representatives we encounter along the way. In this respect, we were fortunate to run into some of the folks at Georgetown Chevrolet Buick GMC, more specifically, William Goldsmith, Will for short. Will was friendly, courteous, polite and very attentive to our questions and concerns; at the same time, he sounded knowledgeable, and, not just willing, but happy to offer his opinion and perception of different aspects of the vehicle. Will took the time to show us how different features, options and packages would make a difference in our purchasing experience, and, I really liked the fact that, unlike some of the other dealers, he didn’t seem afraid or concerned that I would check out the competition. In my own experience, a salesman that attempts to persuade me not to talk to the competition is a sure sign I have to do so. If you are on the market for a new vehicle, I would highly recommend that you pay this folks a visit, and, if you get a chance to meet Will, you will understand what I mean. At this point, we are quite satisfied with our truck, we are looking forward to maximizing our benefit and enjoying the experience. Thank you Will, keep up the good work. More
