Upon arrival at Barrie Ford we were introduced to Graham Haddy and a bond was created. Two days later my husband and I went in as he had some questions with regards to the vehicle that I test drove and without any pressure we purchased a 2016 Escape that was not available but Graham with his contacts had one brought up from another dealership. While waiting for the arrival of our new vehicle, Graham was more than helpful with any questions that I managed to come up with. As well as dealing with Graham we had the wonderful pleasure of meeting Christy, who is a shining star to deal, Susan, who is funny and so easy to be around and then we met Alex as we picked up the vehicle on Grahams day off. Alex was such a great help in explaining all the details and gadgets of the Escape and made sure I was comfortable with everything. All in all, I would gladly refer any family, friends, or online contacts who are interested in purchasing a vehicle to Barrie Ford and make sure that they deal with Graham Haddy. More

We had almost given up in our search and were fed up with the service we had received at several other local dealers. Then we came to Barrie Ford, and right from the initial phone call we realized something was different. We then met with Graham who was beyond kind and his vehicle knowledge was unmatched. From our first visit until we picked up our new Escape we had none other than top notch service. We can not express how thankful we are and will definitely be telling all our friends and family to go see Graham at Barrie Ford Thanks!!! More

Sales people were warm and welcoming providing all the information we needed, sending us out on a test drive (not offered at Trillium) and as an end result, we have bought our new Escape. Sales staff are informed and patient, willing to answer any questions no matter how tedious. Would recommend this dealership! More
I spent quite a bit of time with Graham Haddy at Barrie Ford going over various options, considerations, etc., while I was doing my research on which truck to buy. I had the race down to between a 2013 F- Ford going over various options, considerations, etc., while I was doing my research on which truck to buy. I had the race down to between a 2013 F-150 and a 2014 GMC Sierra. The Sierra won out in the end because of the redesign and I couldn't wait for another year for the 2015 F-150 (Atlas) to come out. That said, I have to say that Graham's openness and professionalism would have me returning to Barrie Ford (and Graham, in particular) without hesitation should I be in the market for a new Ford vehicle. Open letter to Barrie Ford - the Big #2 On the one Open letter to Barrie Ford - the Big #2 On the one year anniversary of my unfortunate and mis-informed purchase of a used 2010 Ford Escape XLT from Open letter to Barrie Ford - the Big #2 On the one year anniversary of my unfortunate and mis-informed purchase of a used 2010 Ford Escape XLT from your dealership I was greeted with a failed air conditioner condenser that apparently is not covered under the extended warranty. Please advise your sales people to stop trying to sell the extended warranty using the example how expensive it can be to fix a “broken air conditioner” as in reality there is only a handful of parts on the air conditioning system that are covered by this extended warranty and the likelihood of them failing is probably very low. The likelihood of non-covered parts failing due to poor design and engineering is quite high – thus the statement regarding the value of the extended warranty in relation to a broken air conditioner is false. As I said before this vehicle has been plagued by problems from day one: 1. A mysterious knocking in the front end that is apparently normal (As I am sure engineers sat down and decided to engineer a clunky front end) 2. Foreign bodies inside the body frame (A beer bottle cap inside the lift gate – indicating a terrible repair job was done on an unreported rear end accident – later unofficially confirmed by premature rusting on the lift gate that is also not covered by warranty) 3. Mysterious check-engine lights that seem to have no cause – this time of year I just hang garland on the instrument cluster and think of it as a Christmas tree. 4. A ceased spare tire cable (this was a great discovery upon getting a flat tire in the middle of rural Quebec on a Sunday). 5. Transmission problems and sloppy repair work of such resulting in multiple returns to the service department. 6. Sloppy front end repair work that resulted in returned trips to your service department for re-alignment. 7. All around premature brake replacement. 8. An overly fragile AC condenser that sits unprotected, five inches from the road way with a forward facing scoop that intentionally directs debris into it causing premature failure (I am not an engineer but I can tell you that sticking a piece of tin five inches from the road is probably not a very good idea) 9. A faulty fan blower resistor. 10. A failed canister purge valve causing rough starts, highway stalling and poor fuel consumption. 11. Sun visor covers falling off, not staying closed, creaky and clunky noises coming from the lift gate, failed wiper motor, rusted out seat mounts, I am simply waiting for the next unpleasant surprise. All of this in a 12 month span – and the worse insult of all was your dealership making what you implied was an exceptional offer to take the truck back on a trade in at wholesale value – a slap in the face. I don’t expect a reply from you guys – you’ve made your sale and continue to make your money off of me - but I want you to know how much inconvenience your dealership has caused me and how disappointed I am with the terrible experience it has been owning a Ford from Barrie Ford. The only saviour for me throughout all of this was Dina in Service trying her best to get my car back on the road. Otherwise, I can honestly say that this has been the worse consumer experience of my life and in hindsight the biggest financial mistake I have ever made and was counselled to do so by your dealership. Thank you for the trouble, hassle and expense. Happy holidays. More
