We really liked the 2006 Honda Civic that we have owned for three years however as we all know Alberta tends to have a longer than usual winter, and w We really liked the 2006 Honda Civic that we have owned for three years however as we all know Alberta tends to have a longer than usual winter, and we do quite a bit of city and highway driving and we felt that a four wheel drive vehicle was not a luxury but rather a necessity especially after the 2013/2014 winter. So we looked at the Honda CRV and the Honda Ridgeline. We decided that the Honda Ridegline was the vehicle for us so the decision then became new or used. We could not find many affordably priced used Honda Ridgeline's so at my wife's advice we considered a new Honda Ridgeline. So my wife and daughter got busy phoning various Honda dealerships in south, central and northern Alberta and our daughter found that Alberta Honda was willing to work with us and offered us a very good deal on a 2014 Honda Ridgeline. During the buying process we dealt with Anas, Danny, and Ray and they where very friendly,helpful, and as excited as we where about our purchase. He was very patient with us and really went out of his way to take care of us. After test driving a 2011 CR-V we ended up buying a new 2014. Anas answered all our questions with great knowledge regarding the cars, and in terms of financing a used vs a new car. Rod and Anas both went above and beyond to help us get what we wanted in terms of our new vehicle and we cannot be happier. I was a little unsure when I started looking at vehicles being a 50 (something) woman purchasing on my own. Would I know what to look for? Would I be treated as a reasonably intelligent individual? Would they respect my budget? Would they give me enough technical information about the vehicle without being overwhelming? Well Anas met and exceeded my expectations. Hands-down Alberta Honda knows how to treat a purchaser right! Anas was on time for our appointment (yes that is important!), showed me only the vehicle I was looking for and was not pushy or trying to sell me something out of my budget. Anas has a great attitude, is very polite and respectful, knowledgeable, willing to answer all my questions (I had 2,000!!) and has a great sense of humor. Alberta Honda was willing to negotiate reasonably with me when other dealerships would not – that really impressed me! Everyone I met at Alberta Honda was friendly and co-operative from the Director of First Impressions to the Sales Manager to the Finance Manager. I loved that Adam did not try to up-sell us on a different model or trim line. He listened to what we wanted and was willing to do anything to get us what we wanted. The whole experience was fast, not dragged out like at some dealerships, and Adam delivered as promised. He even took about a hour out of his time to explain how everything worked in the car and answered all our questions with great patience before we drove away. The whole purchase process was a great experience during which I felt understood, trusted, never pressured and supported throughout. The price is also reasonable. Although Alberta Honda is the first Honda dealer we visited because it opens on Sunday, Richard's professional and honest approach let us to make a quick decision that we should make a purchase there based on our previous experience on purchasing a Corrolla a few years ago. We definately recommend Alberta Honda as a dealer and Richard Lam as a salesman to anyone looking buy a Honda in Edmonton area. More
