I bought my truck from Capital Ford in Wilmington, NC because they had basically the exact new F150 Raptor I wanted in a color which will not offered for 2024. Dylan Bennett, my salesman, was extremely h because they had basically the exact new F150 Raptor I wanted in a color which will not offered for 2024. Dylan Bennett, my salesman, was extremely helpful, respectful and attentive and truly was the positive portion of my purchase. I chose Dylan as my salesman due to his high ratings on dealerater.com and I found those reviews of him to be accurate and consistent with my experience. As for my overall purchasing experience with Capital Ford, it was not good… this coming from a buyer of 40+ new cars in the last 33 years. Their doc fee is, in my opinion, outrageously high ($799) and it seemed to me that their sole focus is on maximizing profits in any manner possible (add-on “security packages”, market adjustment markups, etc.). I negotiated with them over a week to get my truck at MSRP… they were originally asking $10,000 OVER MSRP. I also was told that they would not sell me the truck if I did not finance with them. Even with a perfect FICO score, I was provided a sub-prime interest rate 3.74% higher than I had pre-approval for with Navy Federal Credit union… needless to say, I am refinancing with NavyFed one week after purchasing. Based on these facts, I honestly would not recommend this dealership to others, especially if the vehicle can be obtained elsewhere. If you, like me, choose to deal with them because they have what you want, be prepared to pay dearly for it. More
