Will not resolve an issue they caused My kids gave me a Gold Detail package for my birthday so I set the appt for August 28th,2019. I arranged to leave my car at the dealership while we were on vacation. I dropped it off and they had a week to work it in their schedule whenever it was convenient for them. I told the service person I would be back to get the car one week from the day I dropped it off. I came to get the car and picked up the keys at one of the service desks and walked out to get it. Surprisingly, the car was dusty from sitting there on the lot. They had detailed it at some point but it was noticeably dusty and had rain spots all over it. I overlooked it and drove off, not with the wonderful feeling you want when driving your detailed car away from the lot. As I was driving home I noticed one of the radio knobs was missing. After scouring my car looking for it I called the service person to let them know of the two issues above. He said he had intended to rinse the car off before I came to pick it up. I didn't get there until after noon so he should have had plenty of time to get it rinsed and ready for pick up. He said he would get with his service manager and let me know what they would do about the radio knob. I hadnt heard back so I followed up via text directly with the service person to inquire. After two texts he finally said the service manager was working on it. A week or so went by with no follow up from them so I called and spoke to the service person. He said the part had been ordered and should be in by the following week. ( Week of Sept 16th,2019. I followed up on Wed and Friday of last week via text to check on the status- abslolutely no response or update. So I called the service person, no answer so I left a rather direct message explaining that it was not fair that he is not giving me at least an update on the resolution of this tiny, small, issue. No response back. I also replied to one of their service solicitation emails regarding the issue, addressing it directly to the service manager. No response. So today I called and ask to speak directly to the service manager. The lady was not all that friendly and seemed annoyed that she had to answer the phone in the first place. Before I could ask for the service manager's name she transferred me to his phone. It rang and rang and went to voicemail. I left a message. I realize this is the smallest of nuisances and not an expensive part by any means. All I have asked for is a replacement and some feedback as to when I can expect it to be resolved. Very unprofessional and I guess what I would expect from a "Big name, Big Box" car dealership. And yet they still keep sending me more emails telling me all about their "Service". Too bad, I would have been eager to promote their services. Instead, I am spending more valuable time writing this bad review. We are moving out of town so having my business would be a "No future prospect". Maybe they are just writing it off as an "Oh well, never going to see that guy again." I wonder at what point the slide to mediocrity began for this service department. More

This place sucks. Over priced. Service never answers calls Had my car here for a recall, they cut a wire to my nav and said I needed to take it to best buy to get fixed. Airbag Recall I didn’t have to wait long to get started with my airbag recall process and it only took about a half hour to complete. New cars, great experience! I have given this dealership a 5 star rating for so many reasons! The number one reason is because of our Client Advisor, Ira Booker. We have purchased 2 vehicles from Ira, and each experience has been great! When someone actually gets to know the people he’s selling a car to, it’s really a beautiful thing. This gentleman took the time to get to know my family, and really listened to what we wanted and what we were looking for. The process went very smoothly and each time I come to the dealership, Ira greets me with a hug! From not knowing a person, to having that sort of relationship, I would recommend Ira and BMW of Des Moines to anyone! Solomon, in the finance department, took the time to explain our options and really wanted to make our experience a great one! We even saw him driving on the street on a different day and he remembered us and waved!! This is the kind of place you want to give your business to! More

Very good experience. I was advised to have my car at the dealership by 9:30. When I arrived they were ready to start work on My vehicle. I was promised a loaner to drive but whenI arrived there was no service vehicle for me to use. Dennis Christie andBradley Sodergren were able to find me a loaner. When it became clear that repair work would not be completed by 5pm on the 3rd ofJuly they called to make certain that that I could be without my car until July 5th.? More

Excellent customer service, wouldn't go anywhere else. We had a very intermittent issue with our X5, which would never cause a service light but could be felt while driving. I worked with Dennis Christie We had a very intermittent issue with our X5, which would never cause a service light but could be felt while driving. I worked with Dennis Christie in the service department on several occasions to attempt to locate the problem and took one of the service team members on a drive to attempt to locate the problem. Dennis was the best part of the service department, very friendly, providing updates and a path forward until we could find the issue. Again, the issue was intermittent, Dennis would allow us to immediately bring in the car when the problem was occurring. I couldn't be more pleased - I would also like to say my interaction with a couple of the sales team members has been exceptional as well. Jim Weaver was great to work with about an additional vehicle I was thinking about purchasing. I have dealt with several different BMW dealerships across the country, I would put Jim and Dennis at the top of my list of great people in the auto industry. Thanks again! More
