I had an appointment set to fix two recalls. During the week my back lights stayed on although my car was completely off. This resulted in my car battery dying. I had to have my car towed into t During the week my back lights stayed on although my car was completely off. This resulted in my car battery dying. I had to have my car towed into the dealership the day of my appointment. I checked my car in at the dealership with Mat and was told that the recalls should be a simple fix. In regard to my battery, he claimed that the brake part that caused my back lights to stay on and drain my battery had nothing to do with the current recalls. However, Mat said that he will not charge me for the brake part and labor. I explained what happened with my back lights. Mat’s response was that I hit my brake too hard which caused this to happen. In turn, Mat said that he will call corporate to see if the battery can be placed under goodwill. About three hours later, I received a call from Mat saying that the recalls were completed. I asked him about my battery and he said that I will have to pay for the battery. He never mentioned if he actually called corporate for this decision. I asked again about the recalls to see if they are completed and Mat said “now that I think about it your software update can not be completed because we need a battery to complete it.” He also mentioned that HECU part would have to be ordered and I will have to return in two days. I made this recall appointment a week prior. They had a week to get the part into the shop. My time is just as important as their. This dealership needs to be considerate of people’s time. I called corporate to follow up with the decision about my battery. The case manager that I spoke to sent an email to the dealership for further detail. Corporate never received an email back regarding my issue. I did not receive my car back until three days later! During this time neither corporate or I received any updates from Mat. I was directed to another service associate twice because it was stated that Mat was “busy dealing with customers”. Although it was stated that Mat was busy he relayed messages to other associates instead of speaking to me directly. He just refused to talk to me. The associate that I was passed on to informed me that Mat told him to tell me that the cost of labor for the brake part will be covered but I will have to pay $10 for the part itself. During our initial conversation, Mat told me that the part and labor would be covered when I checked my car in four days ago! My issue is not about the price of the brake part. My issue is that Mat did not honor what was said in our initial conversation as well as the way I was treated. I had to make a trip to the dealership to get an answer about my car face to face due to Mat’s lack of communication. Once I was there I spoke to a manager and informed them of what happened. Mat did not speak to nor would he look at me. Mat lacks customer service skills, empathy and communication. I will not return this dealership or recommend any of my family or friends to come here.
