Gerald is a very nice salesperson, he didn't pressure me into purchasing another vehicle while I waited for 3 weeks, for the one I purchased, to finish inspections and parts replacement at their used vehicl into purchasing another vehicle while I waited for 3 weeks, for the one I purchased, to finish inspections and parts replacement at their used vehicle inspection facility. Also, when I asked for small requests prior to my purchase, (ie. windshield replacement, tire rotation, minor paint touch-up), he said done and there was no extra charge to the agreed price of the vehicle. Well the best I can give is 2 stars. The lack of the other three is purely due to the condition of the vehicle's cleanliness. In general I can not in good conscience give a bad review of the individuals I dealt with as they all seemed to be genuinely competent. What struck me was some of the finer details that one would expect from a dealership when making purchase in excess of 30 K. Case in point. The Van I purchased has a built in vacuum cleaner. Fantastic feature. Is it to much to ask for the canister to be emptied prior to pick-up of the vehicle? I drove for 3 hours from Edmonton to make this purchase, and with the allergies my wife has to cats we drove with the windows down because her allergies flared up all the way home. The carpets could have been properly cleaned but were left with obvious stains in the back and just a general deep cleaning would have been appreciated. A quick wipe down with "Armour-All" just doesn't cut it. It's not as if we just dropped 6 k on a vehicle where one expects to take it home and clean it yourself. We had made arrangements to hold this Van for a week with a serious down payment to guarantee our purchase so it's not as if they didn't have time to ensure it was spotless, and had the missing plastic back interior panel replaced. That's apparently coming in the mail, as well as I hope an "owners manual" which is also missing.The van is exactly what we were looking for, but the service to detail was definatly lacking. Pulling the vacuum hose out of it's compartment to show my Father resulted in a large "spill" of dust and garbage on the back floor of the Van. The drivers door panel was grimy and needed soap and hot water. To much to ask ? The "headsets" were unusable so they are supplying new ones at my request. Did I really have to ask ?? Perhaps Honda West should spend as much time on the finer details of making happy customers, as they do on making sure payment was made. Spent a better part of my day shampooing and detailing a decent cleanup of my "new " van. Certainly not what I expected for "customer service". Seems they left the word "service" out. I could go on but you get my point. Again this is nothing personal as those I dealt with were fine individuals. To my way of thinking however, "it's all about the details", and since you asked for a review I simply have to be honest and say it like it is. More
