If I could give this dealership 0 stars, I absolutely - nickech23
If I could give this dealership 0 stars, I absolutely would. I am extremely disappointed with their dishonest practices. I purchased a used 2019 Toyota C-HR in 2020, and while the car worked well for a couple of years, things took a turn for the worse. In 2022, I received a letter about a recall for the block heater. I took the car to the dealership for the repair as instructed. During that service visit, the technicians discovered an error code indicating issues with the engine and electrical system. Instead of addressing these issues or informing me, they simply cleared the error and told me to bring the car back if warning lights appeared. At the time, the car was still under warranty, yet they failed to disclose this critical information when I picked it up.
Fast forward three years, and the engine failed in the middle of a road trip. I had to take the car to the nearest Toyota service center, where I was informed that both the engine and electrical system were no longer functional. They also mentioned that this issue could have been prevented if the dealership had addressed the error codes during the 2022 recall service. Now, the car is out of warranty, and I am stuck paying over $6,000 for repairs on a car I’m still making payments on.
When I contacted the dealership about the issue, they dismissed my concerns with the excuse, “You have no warranty,” completely ignoring the fact that the problem was identified while the car was still under warranty. It’s clear they chose to sweep the issue under the rug to avoid the cost of repairs, potentially including a new engine and electrical work.
This entire experience has left me deeply disappointed. I will never buy another car from this dealership—or Toyota—again. It’s disheartening to see a brand that once stood for honesty and values being misused to exploit loyal customers for profit.
If I could rate this dealership any lower than 1 star, I would.
