This is an e-mail we sent to Peter (Service Manager) and Fatema (General Manager). We are sending you this e-mail because of a number of unsatisfactory reasons, I personally called you (Peter) yesterday and advised you that I would come in today to see you and figure out what occurred with the misdiagnosis of the C43. I left the dealership right after you said you would investigate the matter and call me back. Instead, you have Faith text me, not even call, and deliver your message, absolutely unexpectable from a customer service perspective.
As already mentioned, we spent $5200.00 to have the noise repaired and we still had the same noise after the repairs. When I drove with Wayne, Shop Foreman, before we even left the parking lot he stated, “I hear the noise from the rear tires”. Instead, I received a text message previously basically telling me it’s my front bearings and steering wheel spring link which is making noise when the vehicle turns, as mentioned, I never heard any noise when turning prior to leaving the vehicle with you. I asked again, how bad was the bearings that we had to spend $5200.00?
I was told that I would receive a picture of the bent front rim, never received it and it’s not in your final report/receipt. I did see the bent rim today and thank you for that. Can you show me a video that I required the bearings/steering wheel spring? Just in this last month we have spent several thousands of dollars and still had the same noise. For Wayne to immediately identify that it was the rear tires, we would have preferred to pay for two new tires than $5200.00 and have the same noise.
Too offer to pay for the bent rim makes no sense, that is not the cause of the noise, it’s the two rear tires which if this was diagnosed properly we wouldn’t be out $5200.00. I have no issue paying the rim, we need to address the $5200.00 and why Wayne was able to pinpoint the issue.
Another issue that we have is that we left the dealership with the 550 two weeks ago, where we picked it up and brought it back within 30 minutes as it had the same shake, paid for the service with the same issues. The shaking is not consistent, could this be part of the braking system, something sticking?
Overall, we would like this matter taken seriously, “Quality and luxury, our passion”, we not feeling the passion in the service.
