We bought a used pickup for a lot of money, we paid for the extended warranty, and when we picked the vehicle up the heat shield was very noisy on start up and the park-neutral switch was failing. Due to the parts being delayed it was in 3 times for the repairs driving two vehicles from Barrie to Midland at our cost of fuel ($120 approximately for the three trips) We had even informed the service department that we would be waiting for the repair, while in Barrie, and told us to come and they will get the repairs completed, that day. After being there for half hour we were told they would not be able to complete repairs on that day and we would have to come back. On the third trip they finally completed the repairs, after we pick our keys off the counter we proceeded to search and find our vehicle in the middle of the back parking lot, and after a walk around noticed that when working on our truck they failed to use the quarter panel blanket to protect the truck from grease and scratches. I guess buyers beware in any scenario when purchasing a vehicle, even from a dealership. Not Happy with Midland Honda’s customer service at all. PS I sent emails and had no response and asked for help in this matter. And there is a prime example of customer service. I will never deal with Midland Honda or will I ever recommend them. More
I took my Acura RDX in for a repair to the knock sensor. After paying over $500.00 to have it replaced six weeks later it had the same problem. I took it back to the dealership and was told it was not under warranty, and furthermore they are not an Acura dealership. Last I checked Acura is a Honda brand. They had no issue taking my money from an 85 year old senior on a fixed income. This a dealership to avoid unless you do not mind being ripped off. More

Communication is not timely, in fact most of the dialogue was initiated by us. They said they are too busy and unable to get back - and we were ready to buy a car, disappointing. There was some back and forth and gave us the impression the dealership is trying to create a bidding war with a bunch of “so called” interest on their cars. Due to the lack of communication demonstrated through the midland Honda dealership seems as there may be integrity issues and cannot recommend anyone to trust them. Possibly self serving tactics all in the name on increasing sales and not placing the customer first. Hopefully this is a salesperson representation issue, as I have a difficult time believing the owners of a respectable business would condone what my family just witnessed. More

On Saturday, September 24, 2022, my wife and I went into this establishment to get a quote for a new Honda Civic Sport (2023). Josh Townsend came out to greet us while we were looking at the new vehicles ou this establishment to get a quote for a new Honda Civic Sport (2023). Josh Townsend came out to greet us while we were looking at the new vehicles out the front of the dealership. We discussed the vehicles for a few minutes and agreed to go for a test drive in a 2023 Civic Touring. Once the test drive was complete, I informed Mr. Townsend that I would like a quote for a new 2023 Honda Civic Sport and the only extras that I required was winter tires and rims, nothing more. Mr. Townsend proceeded to tell me that he had good news, as they had the model coming in that I wanted, and it would arrive mid-October, but it had already been ordered from the factory with some additional items (window tint, door sill protector, and a few others). Mr. Townsend proceeded to spend quite a long time clicking through on his computer, building the quote for the car. He left us sitting there while he went to discuss the quote with his sales manager, Tyler Idle. 10 minutes later Mr. Townsend returned with a quote that was $7,000 over the price that I was previously quoted at a different dealership and the internet price as quoted on Honda.ca. After telling Mr. Townsend again that I did not want the "Extras" that I only required the base car with snow tires and rims, that is when the entire experience changed. Purchasing a new vehicle should be fun and exciting, but this turned into a not so enjoyable experience. Mr. Townsend went to see his manager again, and as he left his desk, I mentioned again the items I wanted with nothing else, his response was a sharp "I get that dude!!". He returned again with another quote which was changed but still included "Extras". At this point my wife left to go shopping. I sat and waited again, for the third time, to receive a quote for a car that I wanted, without any extras. Mr. Townsend and Mr. Idle approached me after 30 minutes and handed me another quote, they said was without any extras/upsells. This one still had 4 extra upcharges included totaling over $900.00 extra. This last quote included the following items: Platinum Security-Anti-Theft Coverage for $499.00 Platinum Wheelguard for $99.00 Wheel Locks (CRZ/Civic) for $94.00 All Season Floor Mats - High Wall for $229.65 There was also a difference in the cost of the tires and rims, I was quote $1,900.00 at the other Honda dealership but Mr. Townsend quoted me $2,384.00 which is a $484.00 difference. I told Mr. Townsend that I would think about the quote and get back to him on Monday, September 26, 2022. I called Mr. Townsend on the Monday as promised and explained to him that another dealership was more than happy to fulfill my request at internet pricing without any extras, so I purchased my new car with the other dealership. The experience at this dealership was not friendly and I did not feel that my needs were being listened to. It felt high pressured and dishonest, and that the only thing that mattered was the upselling of "DEALER ADDED EXTRAS" so that they could make their profits. Words to the wise, do your research, know what you want and stick to your decision, if they don't meet your expectations or listen to what you want, you have the power to go elsewhere. Please don't let them talk you into "Dealer Added" items you don't want or need. All of the items that were added to the quotes were not factory items - they are dealer added. Buying a car use to be a pleasurable experience as I have purchased many new vehicles in the past, but the world is different now as consumers are expected to pay full retail suggested price with no room for negotiation and some dealers use high pressure upsell tactics to benefit their bottom line only not in the interest of the customer. This experience has upset me so much. I had two other Honda dealerships willing to fulfill my simple request for the vehicle I wanted. Midland Honda not only missed the opportunity to do what was right from the beginning with my request, but they have also now lost a future sale to my wife. More
