I have been a loyal McAlpine Ford Customer for over 25 years purchasing new vehicles and regularly servicing them at this location. Today I took my 2016 Explorer in for a routine safety check. I was told that the tires would require replacement within a few months but that everything else was in great shape so we were good to head out on a road trip. I drove the vehicle 10 minutes up the road to my office and parked it. I did not hit a single bump on the way. An hour later I started the vehicle and clearly there was a muffler malfunction. I returned immediately to the dealership assuming that something had been dislodged in the course of their inspection. I was told that the flex pipe needed to be replaced. The service man insisted that it could not have anything to do with the service provided. It is very curious that I have never had ANY indication of muffler malfunction. It is also curious that if the flex pipe were 10 minutes away from complete malfunction that whoever had the car on the hoist would have cleared the vehicle for a road trip. I suppose such coincidences are possible, but I find it hard to believe that the exhaust was not impacted in some way during the course of the inspection. I will not be returning to McAlpine Ford for service or to purchase my next vehicle. So ends my 25 year association with this dealership.

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE. From their rude Auto Service secretary, Tammy, to their dizzyingly incompetent mechanics, there are no obvious redeeming qualities at this Auto shop. I came in about my windows. They fixed one and didnt touch the rest and gave me a bill of over 500. I complain and I'm asked back and charged AGAIN $316 for their dianostic work and labour which should have been done during the FIRST diagnostic work if they had any semblance of a sequence of operation. AND they left me with a window that is worse now than before and not even road safe! Find an honest mechanic in your neighbourhood! NEVER AGAIN.

Thank you Frank Bevacqua, Service Consultant for your 5-star consulting services and your hospitality. My car has problem that needs to stay there for checking. He helped me with free of charge rental car services by calling various rental car providers to find a suitable one for me. They came in 10 minutes with a very nice car. But finally I did not take it because I did not have insurance available for rental car. They were still happy when I cancelled the service. Then Frank helped order an Uber car free of charge again to drive me home. After 5 hours, my car was fixed. Frank ordered an Uber car again to drive me back. So fast and convenient and helpful. Because I travel a lot both me and my vehicle have special needs. Mainly timing for service. I am in for service every 5 to 6 weeks and Polito always finds a time that fits into my schedule and has me back on the road in as short a time possible. Keep up the great work.

I will NEVER trust their pricing again after their Quicklane Service tried to charge me double!! Although I had heard negative things, I have dealt with Highland Ford and their Quicklane Service for the last 8 years and was content...until this year. When I called the Highland Ford Quicklane Service, they made an appt and when I showed up, they said I had no appointment (I thought it was odd that I asked "don't you want my name" when making the appt). They took the vehicle anyways and when I picked up, tried to CHARGE ME ALMOST DOUBLE!!! When I spoke up and asked about the pricing, the individual (believe it is the new manager) first mentioned an even higher price, then put in the right price ($78.) with no apology. I asked why he tried to charge me $130, I was told "miscommunication". Really? Miscommunication trying to charge customers double, then raising the price again before putting in the right amount. I went over and reported to Highland Ford service manager (highland Ford owns this Quicklane). I also wrote to the dealership owner and informed Highland Ford on their "follow up call to rate the service". Guess what I have heard back from the owner or dealership...NOTHING!! I will NEVER buy a vehicle here as they clearly dont appear concerned with customer feedback or their own people attempting to charge customers double for service so what does that say about their pricing? Buyer BEWARE...I now believe what others have told me....I CAN'T recommend them as I no longer trust them or their prices!!!

I am new to this area and have been in a few times for oil changes and some minor service. Thus far the whole experience was extremely streamlined, friendly and professional. This will be my "go to" place for automotive service from now on. A great place you can trust.

I understand the struggles of the pandemic in all types of service. I know this because I work in the HVAC industry . However when a simple item like a oil change can take up so much of my time I feel others should be warned about the lack of organization this dealership has. First thing they deleted was the oil change bays and their service person told me I need to book an appointment from a phone or email (which I did both within 45 min.). I received a call back around 1.5hrs later telling me they don't book in the oil changes but to come back and get in line and the service attendant would deal with me. I drove over again to the dealership and spoke with the attendent and they told me to again to book an appointment on line or phone in. I explained that I was getting conflicting answers and needed a firm answer on booking the oil change . The new answer was to leave the vehicle with them and they would get it done when they had time and that it may not get done that day due to the time I was dropping off the vehicle (11:30). I returned again a few days later to drop it off for the day and while waiting for my vehicle to gain entry to the service desk area I noticed the two vehicles who came to the line after me had been serviced by an attendant because the people walked in and stood in front of the attendants desk. I guess this is the way Shanahan Ford prefers to service the their customers . BTY They have had my vehicle for three hours now and have not returned either of my phone calls on when to expect to pick up the truck.

Had appointment scheduled at 11 am. Finally got my truck in at 1140 am. Simple oil change and check driver side window not working properly. Told at 12 that they were not sure when the truck would be ready and they could drive me home when driver got back from lunch. I said ok. I looked into the service garage and saw all the staff having a staff lunch. If my truck would have been in on time I am sure it would have been done before lunch. I finally got my truck back at 2 pm Not very happy. Jeff

I had my B200 scratched very badly , and was worried about big bill coming my way . I got my vehicle inspected and did regular maintenance with them . The body shop person Patrick did such amazing job for me . and would recommend anyone to see them before call any other collision center . As a customer .Kudos to them and a Great job well done .They made my day .

Brought my Mustang in for a recall item. Waited three weeks for the appointment, thus giving them time to order the recalled part. I delivered the car at 8:00 AM. Received a call back at 2:30 saying they needed to order a part for the car. They started to look into the issue (recall backup camera) after lunch. Said they could have the part ready for tomorrow. 1) why have me deliver the car at 8:00 and start working on it at 1:00 2) it was a recall on a backup camera cable; why didn't they order the parts three weeks ago I ended up not having the work done at all.
