We always take our Odyssey to Carter Honda for servicing... - Steve
We always take our Odyssey to Carter Honda for servicing and usually deal with Bill Glavas. He provides excellent customer service and always calls to discuss the findings of the mechanics and to make recommendations to keep the vehicle running well.

Brendan Lee is an excellent service advisor I have been dealing with. Aside from that, I felt that charges for changing the transmission fluid and brake fluid were too expensive especially the labor charge for each.

Horrible service. After charging $280 for oil change... - Edin Tiric
Horrible service. After charging $280 for oil change just $107 and alignment $130. Checked my car with 18k km in 3 years. They said everything is good with car and ready to go. They found A/C leak (bcz Honda give extra 10 years for A/C) and probably replaced I hope. Nobody noticed that my tire is damaged really bad and is still in warranty. I show them tire. Manager of service department told me the tire is still good and safe for driving but we need to replace. My car was there 24h and I need to wait 1/2 hours more .
They told me why I didn't told them that. I ask them do I need to change my oil and pay u guys?
In 4 service i pay 3 times alignment..bcz last time I was fighting with them and proved that result are same like last time after alignment...after that checked again alignment and was great!!
Really horrible service and I'm disappointed 😞 with Jonker Honda..they don't have a replacement car for you!!!
Sadly for 2021!!!

Beware the service department ! $295 for a battery for a 2012 Hyundai - double a reasonable price ! If you are not mechanically knowledgeable they will fleece you ! Went in for a minor service & fix a leaking tire & drive away $800 poorer! Rip off place !

This Car Company has terrible customer service. - Elaine
I bought a 2010 Honda Civic from this dealership. I only have a three minute drive to work so I now have just under 80,000 km on my car.
Around the 50,000 km mark I got a spot of the roof of my car where I thought maybe bird poop or something had burnt off the paint. That mark stayed for a few years, now the white speckling which means it's the start of more patches appearing is on most of my car.
Honda Canada and this dealership acknowledge that it was faulty clear coat.
I only realized it was something to do with Honda when I started seeing other Honda's with the same problem.
I have been back to the dealership three times and have been told
I should hound Honda Canada to see if they will repaint it, they don't seem to want to call them.
I probably went down Lake Cowichan Hwy. and a rock chipped the paint on my roof and that's what started it. ( Well the rock would have had to have bounced all over my car then.)
I have not been loyal to the dealership because I didn't get my car serviced there even though I explained it was not about being loyal it was about be affordable. (Their service dept. has higher prices)
I have dealt with the two different dealerships the present owner has been involved with for over 20 years so I feel that's pretty loyal.
When I took my estimate of $2,800.00 (which now have found out is $3,200.00) in to the service manager and said I just want someone from this dealership to look me in the eye and tell me they thinks it's fair I pay this I was told it's not fair but what do you want me to do about it.
I've learnt my lesson not to deal there.
Worst Service I ever experienced in my 45 years of driving - Pissed
This dealership, I feel, destroyed my transmission. They say they do a 20 point check on fluid levels etc. every time you have servicing - if they do (which I doubt) they don't let you know if there is a problem or don't do anything about problems they find including letting you know. In October they said they checked my transmission fluid, in February my transmission died - it had no transmission fluid in it and there was no leak.
I took it in to get the timing belt changed at the time you are suppose to change them, $1700.00 bill. Later I find out the mechanic looked at it and thought it was fine so didn't change it, I was not told at the time, later when I had seals leaking I am told it was not done - I was very angry - then they back tracked and said it was done and they offered to fix the seals at such a reduced rate $400.00 over the original $1800.00 quote I let them hoping that they would do the timing belt at the same time.
I will never go there again and I am cautioning everyone else to not go there if you value your vehicle. I did buy another Honda they are good vehicles but I will never go back to this dealership.
Great service with humble attitude at Harmony Honda. - W. Jin
Recently, the worker name Wade, worked on my both keyless entry devices for my 2017 Honda CRV I bought at Harmony Honda. He even repaired one of the broken devices that saved me over $200.00. With his humble and eager to learn attitude, I see his appreciation to his co-worker and dedication to his career.
I am very much thankful to him and his co-workers. Great service! I definitely will recommend to anyone.
Damsel in distress - tbrewer
There I was, parked on 4th Street and my 4 year old car battery was dead. Who happens to walk by and offers help to this damsel in distress from Nanaimo? It happens to be Dave, the general manager of Island Honda. He could have keep walking as there was someone already talking to me trying to offer assistance, but he didn’t, he stopped to help and I am incredibly grateful. After assessing the situation, we boosted my car (in the middle of the street I might add), and took it to Island Honda. Sort of long story short, a huge grateful thank you to Dave from Island Honda for taking the time to stop, and assist this damsel in distress. And thank you to Bryan and Dave to inform me exactly what was wrong and why, for checking my alternator, for being prompt, efficient, professional, and most of all kind. -Tanya
Awesome Service Department - hiroanz
The JP Scion’s Service Department is awesome!! I took my Subaru BRZ (mechanically identical to the Scion FR-S) in for an oil change today. The service techs notice rodent droppings in the engine bay (I park outside, no choice), and clean the entire engine bay for me free of charge. I was very happily surprise when I got home, popped the hood, and noticed how sparking clean the engine bay is. I did not expect them to do that. That is service way above and beyond my expectations. The prices are also very reasonable, much, much less than what Don Docksteader Subaru charged me for the same oil change. I also appreciate the free ride Downtown. Thanks JP Scion, you’ve earned yourself a repeat customer.
I would have to say my experience was extremely... - Colby
I would have to say my experience was extremely disappointing with the service I received from this dealership. I experienced an issue that I brought multiple times to the dealership that the service department couldn't recreate and said it would be one of three things. I was told they couldn't do anything about the sound, as they weren't 100% sure what the problem was. Even though a bulletin had been posted from Honda Canada on the issue. The service manager assured me not to worry as it was still in warranty and would look after me when the problem got worse. My concern was the warranty would expire, and I would be left with the bill so he assured me that after the warranty expired I would be looked after. I am now 15,000 km out of warranty and am left with the bill.
When I challenged them on charging me for the repair, the owner said, since I had my oil changed somewhere else there was nothing she could do. Seems like a weak reason to get out of supporting a customer by using warranty-approved oil changes from somewhere else as a scapegoat.
The fact that the majority of the negative reviews are unanswered shows the lack of concern for dissatisfied customers who received a disappointing experience at this dealership. I always try and support local businesses but I would make the trip to another Honda dealership if you are looking for a good customer service experience.
Sold me a Lemon been saving forever to buy a nice car... - rh
Sold me a Lemon been saving forever to buy a nice car they truly ripped me off this car is going to have big problems took it back to them they said nothing wrong noise is getting worse thanks Marv Jones’s their 100 point inspection is a bunch of BS I ended finding a tone of rat poo in my motor after. My car noises are getting worse and now I’m stuck paying money for a car that I will have to do major repairs
Worst car services need customer to point out the failure - Stan
Suggested unnecessary service which I have to paid and was not relevant to resolve my car's mechanical issue. Had to bring my car in and actually point out where the problem is and let them performed another service which got lucky covered with the additional extend warranty that I purchased when I leased the car.
I will not recommend doing car service here at all. It was expensive and did not receive the same value of the money. However, they do provide the curtsy car which maybe other car service company did not have.
I will list what I experienced from this store
1. OEM windshield wiper will always break down which make uncomfortable sound and service agent said we need to replace it every 3-4 months (Bosch third party windshield wiper was still working since 2017)
2. Replaced light bulb without telling customer and want to charge the fee
3. Auto rain sensing from Honda is not that precise, service agent suggested me to buy BMW instead. (The auto rain sensing on Honda civic has a known issue that the system need to do some collaboration test, but apparently service agent did not know that)
4. Recommend the auto service that I have to pay by myself which is not mandatory but also did not fix the issue I had on my car.
5. Suggested wheel alignment to fix the defected tie rod? I learned a lot more about the car from this lesson.
Thank you OpenRoad Honda.
Thank you service Advisor Dan Pollard - Dl
My car needed a service and Dan managed to get me a service in one day as I had the opportunity to go on a road trip and my car was overdue for a service. Much appreciated_ big thank you??
There was a problem with my recently purchased Honda.... - RANDY
There was a problem with my recently purchased Honda. Nicole in the service department handled it like a true professional. Great person to deal with.
This is the third time I've brought in my car for... - Naomi
This is the third time I've brought in my car for servicing at Richmond Honda. And two of the three times I've come here they've had issues with them and my warranty company, which is third-party I did not purchase through Honda. The first time was getting my rims fixed. They made me pay upfront instead of going through my warranty company, which my warranty company even gave them a walkthrough in how to file a claim through them. My warranty company had to be the one reimbursing me when this could've been all clean and done through just proper research or even a couple calls.
The third time I brought my car in for servicing, I was also wanting to fix my flat tire which I was told that it was driven on flat so the wheel itself was wrecked and I needed to replace it with an entirely new wheel. OK, that's fair I said please deal with it through my warranty company because I'm covered. I get a call later in the day to notify me that my claim was denied. That didn't make any sense to me so I called the rep at my warranty company (doing their job for them I suppose), and I was notified that the claim should have been approved and been good to go as I explained the situation to them. The rep then tells me their claims reps are all gone for the day and that she will give me an update on Monday. So I call back to Honda to let them know please leave my car there for the weekend (I dropped it off Friday for servicing). Fast forward to Monday, I was notified by the rep of the warranty company that there was NEVER a claim filed through for my car. Honda had only called in to tell them but NEVER filed a proper claim so of course it was so-called "denied" or never approved because my warranty company never even got a "request" or "claim" for them to even approve??. Great. Next I get a phone-call from Honda to let me know that there were ADDITIONAL issues with my car during the road test (which by the way should have been done FRIDAY, why are you calling me on MONDAY to tell me about it???) but not to worry cause the concern they assume it had is all covered under warranty but they wanted to keep my car for another day. I said No, cause I've personally never heard this so called noise they were talking about. And I couldn't leave my car for another day when I had appointments lined up the next day as I assumed my car would've been good to go by now. My warranty company also had to call Honda to walk them through how to file a claim again and at the end of all this I ended up having to pay for the wheel first and my warranty company to reimburse me AGAIN.
The only thing they did right was put my stuff in the back seat back into my trunk for me (as I had moved it from the trunk into the back seats to put the wrecked tire in when I changed it for a spare).
Will not be bringing my car here ever again. Unfortunate because when I purchased my car from here the sales team was awesome, cannot say the same for service.
