This is a follow up review from a previous review dated February 4, 2024. The complainant received an email from the new General Manager Rob Bertschi at GWC. Rob investigated the complaint from October 16, 2023, as per the review dated February 4, 2024. David Elgie then connected with the complainant via telephone to resolve the concerns. Rob compensated the 2 shifts the complainant could not book at work due to having to return the vehicle to GWC, and for the appointment at Leduc Chrysler. Rob has righted a wrong that occurred before his time at GWC. Thank you, Rob!

A tail signal light bulb on my truck went. I called two service shops closest to my residence, got outrageous estimates. Next day, I happened to be in Spruce Grove, checked with Parkland Dodge Chrysler Jeep service. The bulb price they quoted was 1/4, and the labor about half of the previous two service shops. The care and courtesy of the staff was absolutely over the top. Thank you wholeheartedly, Scott and Bonnie!

I can't warn you enough: DO NOT BUY a vehicle from this dealership. I purchased a 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee L from this dealership. This SUV a LEMON!!!! I have tried to get them to help me fix this car under warranty. The electrical system has a parasitic draw on it. I have asked for the dealership to try and find and resolve the problem and CAPITAL JEEP REFUSES. I have taken it to another dealership and they recommended a batter maintainer. I asked this dealership to install the battery maintainer and they couldn't even do this properly. I even purchased a battery maintainer for the dealership. I have complained to the dealership and Chrysler Canada and both just ignore me. They don't care that this car regularly doesn't start and has had to have the computer replaced when it failed due to being boosted regularly. The car had to be drug out of my driveway because it completely locked up. This problem isn't a weather or battery issue. It didn't start the other day when it was 30 Deg C. No matter what I say or ask for it is always met with resistance and probably the worst workmanship on planet earth. I live a long way from this dealership and paid almost $80000 for this lemon with a dealership and manufacturer that won't do the warranty work. I'm very disappointed with myself for doing business with this organization. Do yourself a favor and STAY AWAY FROM CAPITAL JEEP. They are only comparable to Legacy Dodge in Fort McMurray. Stay away!!!! The only resolution offered was to buy another new vehicle from Capital Jeep. I'm never going to buy another piece of junk from Stellantis as long as I live! I suggest you don't either.

Jim in service was absolutely top notch in dealing with the problem, he took the time to explain the procedure on a day where the department was swamped and he was dealing everything by himself. He is an asset to the organization and his customer service skills are above and beyond you would normally expect. Thanks Jim

Wes was very approachable, intelligent, informative and he has the customer’s best interest at heart! Any time you need your vehicle serviced I highly recommend Wes . Very positive experience and I look forward to bringing my vehicle back. Great Work Wes. I have no worries or concerns knowing that Wes serviced my Jeep!! Wes I can’t say enough, thank you. I brought my car in again and was very happy with the service and they honoured the hundred dollar credit. I would highly recommend bringing your vehicle to this shop.

Merging down on ramp up to highway speed when I noticed a pronounced shimmy. Thought it might be a delaminating tire due to contact with a hidden curb in deep snow earlier in the week. Spoke with Ryan in service and he advised getting rid of the ice build up on my 20" alloy rims. $3.00 later at the spray and wash - problem solved. Thanks again Ryan.

JEEP BUYERS BEWARE: This dealership will deny the warranty you’re entitled to. I have bought brand new Jeeps for the last 21 years, and I will NOT be purchasing Jeep in the future. I would advise you to choose a vehicle brand that is NOT FIAT (Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge) to save you from the nightmare that the Jeep and other Fiat brands will cause you! They misdiagnosed my Jeep Gladiator problem, blaming it on pinion bearings that would not be covered by warranty due to modifications causing wear and tear on the part. I took it to a different mechanic shop, and they informed me that the pinion bearings are completely fine and not damaged at all. The true problem is the back side gears (a known and VERY common problem in Jeep Wranglers & Gladiators). Side gears would NOT be affected by the modifications, and, according to the owners manual: "Modifications do not void warranty unless they cause damage to the part needing replacement." It seems like quite the scam for the Jeep service department to be ‘misdiagnosing’ a problem not covered by warranty, and not reporting/admitting the true problem, which would be covered by warranty. They are also the only major car dealership in Canada to withdraw from CAMVAP, which is a company that helps mitigate warranty issues. Steer clear of the Jeep and Fiat brands if you want to save yourself stress when it comes time to collect on warranty!!

Bought a brand new Jeep in 2018, even bought the “waste of your money ” (extended warranty)! Paid way too much money for it and with two vehicle trade ins at the time. Yes, my fault for signing the paperwork. Now, let’s fast forward to Oct 12 2023. Keep in mind my warranty ran out 4 months ago. I’m driving in to Spruce Grove on 16a highway and was completely traumatized by my panoramic sunroof exploding, with no apparent reason! No other vehicles were even around me at all. Called SPC to ask for advice and told to bring it in and they would take care of it. They took care of absolutely nothing for me. No advice, no coverage under warranty of course and not even offering to give me a quote! Complete waste of my time. I will never walk in that dealership again. Buyers beware. They only care about making money off you. Oh and the staff are not professional at all. One of the salesman came up to me outside and gestured toward the hotel and if I would like to join him!!! Disgusting! I only went there for my services because it was part of my package!! Hard lesson learned on my part. Oh, and I’m still waiting to here back from the General Manager.

Chose this dealership for service due to its proximity to my address tho I didn’t buy my jeep there. I brought in my car to fix the battery that wasn’t charging and for transmission fluid leakage. They said to have fixed both but when I returned for an oil change after few months they said the transmission fluid was still leaking. So I don’t know what happened with the first so called fix. They said they will need the car at least for a half day the following week and that I will receive a call. The week has passed and I have not receive a call, text or email. I called the service department and got connected to the person dealing with my car but did not pick up the phone. I left a message but did not receive a call back. I called two more times and on the last one I asked if the person named “Sally” was working and was told yes but again was not picking up the phone nor called back after I left a message. I’m feeling so disappointed with this dealership. So unprofessional of the person dealing with my vehicle. I have now considered looking for a different dealership to service my vehicle even from a greater distance. I am so displeased and am discouraging other customers to use their service department.

Original concern was repeating Check Engine Light. Disastrous news was it was a major problem - HPFP and the total fuel system needed replacing. It had been recalled, but a redesigned solution and parts were not available at that time. Sad news was delivered by Service Rep Laine (in the best way possible). She promised to talk to the area manager to see if a repair could be found at the most reasonable cost available. Unfortunately I had to wait a long time, but eventually a completely new set of parts arrived, and 2 days later I got the happy call from Laine that my truck was ready for pick-up. After driving for a month from that day, I can honestly say that my Ecodiesel is running better than ever. As well as the major repair, the mechanics also took care of earlier minor frustrations like a Speed Control contact that never did function correctly. The Staff which I worked with at the dealership were absolutely first class. From Laine in the Service department to the mechanics who performed the operation, I could not have wished for more caring and competent employees. Going forwards, I was promised that when a permanent resolution to the problem is found, then my recall will still be in affect, at no charge. And for now, Laine was true to her promise that they would supply the necessary parts and do the interim repair at the lowest price possible. What more could a customer wish for. Thank you Airdrie Chysler, Ram Jeep.

Poor service - Unsatisfied customer

I have been a loyal customer of this dealership since the early 90’s. Since the new ownership, it’s apparent they do not believe in customer service. I had an issue with my Ram and I told them what I thought the issue was. That was totally ignored, they had the truck for 60 days and charged me $2800 for what should have been an obvious warranty power train claim. On top of that, I paid an additional $300 to have it towed to the dealership I was loyal to and they didn’t provide a loaner vehicle for the first two weeks so I had to pay almost $1400 for a rental vehicle. I’d advise anyone to stay away from this dealership!

I called Big Rock Chrysler afraid that I would be stuck on the road with my new puppy. Nikita the friendly receptionist got me booked in right away. Incredible service - Matt Sellers

The service is incredible. I had my front driver-side redone after I was side-swiped (which was all great) and then there was a bad shake when I drove above 100k. I took it back in and they got it into the shop immediately. It turned out it was just dirt buildup but they cleaned it up, re-balanced the tires, adjusted the alignment, and corrected tire pressure. Oh, and my window had come off the guides (not related to the accident) and they put it back on. All of it for free. These guys stand by their work and really seemed to care.

After spending 3 months attempting to repair my vehicle they returned it without connecting a coolant line to my engine, which overheated on the highway. I informed them afterwards it began burning oil, they blamed me and proceeded to make up excuses to why my engine had been damaged. Steer clear of them and their incompetent techs.
