If you take your car to Lexus of Edmonton make sure you - shane_famulak
If you take your car to Lexus of Edmonton make sure you that you have battery operated cameras hidden in your car. They might try to charge you for fraudulent repairs after sabotaging your vehicle. We took our 2016 Lexus IS300 for a simple tire swap then while it was there, we were offered to fix the rapidly flashing signal lights and horn pitch that were working totally fine before the vehicle was taken in. What's even worse is that we have evidence recorded on dashcam and ring cameras of them working. Later that day we noted that the valet that brought the car to our home didn't mention any problems with the signal lights. My wife discovered the true problem when driving to work the following morning, as the signal lights were not working. Luckily there was nothing wrong with the horn though. I went to check her car parked at her place of work and found that the tech has stolen the 15 Amp fuse. I called customer service to complain only to have Kerri Miller refer me to the Service manager Robert Watson. He offered a fuse but, said "it was like that when it got here." I refused the free fuse as it would be 1hr 45 min round trip drive to pick it up. I went to Napa auto parts and bought it myself, then returned to my wife's car and installed it. The signal lights worked just like they did before we took the car to Lexus of Edmonton for service. I then continued a back and forth conversation with Robert Watson. He crafted a pretty good story, now in contradiction with the orignal story. The tech in this version of events noticed the missing fuse while connecting her obd reader, but chose not to share her findings. He then came up with another yarn where the dash camera installer pulled the signal light fuse 6 months ago but we somehow did not notice. The funniest issue with this story is we brought the car to his service department 2 times after the dash cam install. He then, after facing my pushback against his narrative, he, like a petulant child, implied we were lying about the missing fuse, I lost it on him and cussed him out. He is the stereotypical scummy car dealership service manager, if you have to dispute his claims make sure to record phone calls or force him to communicate over email so he can't weasel out of responsibility. He chose to throw away a 9 year customer relationship because he was too much of a coward to accept responsibilty for our fuse that went missing under his leadership. Throughout this whole ordeal, no one from the service department thought to apologize for what happened. They all acted defensive and were looking for any opportunity to discredit my issues and concerns. I'm sure Robert will reply here asking for the dashcam and ring video, he will only get to see it from a 3rd party now because of his actions.
