terrible experience Horrific. Tried to lease a new vehicle (purchased old one from willowdale also) and sales manager wanted $3000 due on delivery ON TOP OF first month l Horrific. Tried to lease a new vehicle (purchased old one from willowdale also) and sales manager wanted $3000 due on delivery ON TOP OF first month lease payment. I asked 7 times if this was a down payment and he said "no, new car requires delivery charge of course. this is normal every car from every place!" My family leased 5 vehicles in the past - never. Delivery charges (OMVIC/license transfer/etc.) is around ninty bucks and your first month lease. We were ready to walk away and sales manager said "ok ok today special only!" put a big cross over $3000 and wrote $2250. "Just for you!" Scam attack, $320 per month for impreza due on delivery PLUS $2250 delivery charge? Went to another subaru dealership and paid $88 + $305 for the keys. Done. More

When she came back I was absolutely shocked to see that they charged her $494.51 for that maintenance. I think it is OUTARGUES. In my whole life, I NEVER paid anything close to it for a simple maintenance. Even my Acura dealer charges around $200 for the service B maintenance. I believe they took advantage of my wife and her ignorance. In addition, the invoice is for $469.88 but the credit card was charged for $494.51. I bought two cars from this dealership, but they will never see me again. Not for maintenance and for my next purchase. More
Waste of Time Went in to look for an Outback as a second vehicle & was very specific that I wanted to purchase/finance a new 2014 or pre-owned. Sales rep Alan Chau Went in to look for an Outback as a second vehicle & was very specific that I wanted to purchase/finance a new 2014 or pre-owned. Sales rep Alan Chau was difficult to even understand but was pushing me towards the 2015 and didn't want to show me anything on the last 2014 they had. Then, started talking about residual value and when I asked why that was relevant to a finance purchase, was told it was for a lease and that was better for me. Why would I want that if I specifically asked for finance/purchase and then would have to finance the remainder of the lease at a higher rate in 2 years from now? Then he said that clearly pre-owned was better for me. Ummm, what about the 2014 that we were just looking at? Then he asked if it had to be the Outback and I said not unless you have something in the same class (i.e.: a CrossTek or Forester) and he comes back with a sheet of 2004-2007 old Outback models and Legacies. And, that was when I walked out. I drove into the dealership in a 2012 luxury brand car...that should tell him I'm not looking for a 7-10 year old used car. Unbelievable. Oh and he stunk like cigarette smoke. *Vomit* More

The only stipulation they had was that Nadim needed to come along to the mechanic. Speaking of the mechanic, I went to a body shop called Can Jam Motorsports not far away and they were fantastic at helping me find negotiation points. I strongly recommend them- $100 well spent. Then we went back, found a price easily and a week later I picked up my Subaru. I think the only constructive criticism over the whole process would be for the front desk staff who seemed a little unfriendly. Beyond that, excellent experience and I couldn't be happier with the service they provided. More

I recently visited Willowdale to look at 2012 WRX and WRX STI models. I spoke with a salesman (I forget his name) who was fairly nice and helpful. When the conversation got to the stage of arranging a test STI models. I spoke with a salesman (I forget his name) who was fairly nice and helpful. When the conversation got to the stage of arranging a test drive I was told that they do not let people test drive WRX's or STI's. The salesman's manager confirmed this, saying that I had to buy the car before they would let me drive it. I explained that this was an unreasonable policy, why would anyone spend $40-$50k for a car that they had not driven - what happens if you don't like it, return it....oh wait, you can't return the vehicle. However, to be fair they offered to let me drive a used 2008 WRX "because it basically drives like the 2012 STI". Needless to say I plan on taking my business elsewhere and would advise anyone else to be cautious of buying a car without having driven it. More
This is by far the worst dealer in the GTA. I have gone to Markham Subaru and got a quote for an STI. Hence, I also went to this dealer to compare prices and the deal they can give me. When my friend and I to Markham Subaru and got a quote for an STI. Hence, I also went to this dealer to compare prices and the deal they can give me. When my friend and I walked in no one greeted us to start and asked if we needed help. So we proceeded to look at the dark blue STI that was in the show room. We sat down and started checking the car out. We noticed that this STI had a shorter shifter so we changed gears a few time with the clutch pressed in. Then this random black sales guy came to us and told us to get out of the car because we are wrecking it and that we should leave. I asked the guy about if we can test drive one. The sales guy very rudely said we don’t let any one drive it, have a nice day. At this point I was kind of angry we are getting this treatment here so I went up to him and said we are here to buy a car but I guess you are sending us else where. He proceeded to say that that was fine and see you later. So we just left and got into our cars, and while starting to drive away he gave us the finger…. Great Customer service at Willowdale Subaru! DO NOT EVER GO TO THIS DEALER, you can get treated so much better anywhere else. More
Willowdale Subaru was the second dealership we visited in November 2011 in an attempt to buy a new Forester. Didn't complete the deal, moved on and eventually purchased it at Richmond Hill Subaru. Friendlin November 2011 in an attempt to buy a new Forester. Didn't complete the deal, moved on and eventually purchased it at Richmond Hill Subaru. Friendliness - rated 1, i.e. could not be any worse, and I have never seen such an unfriendly company. Though May was polite and wanted to create an impression of support, but in fact no argument or statement, or reason on my part was accepted. We reached a deal with difficulty, and May and William didn't accept any argument on my part, so I had to remove from the list all the options I was planning to buy. I paid $1009 and 2011 Forested was pre-allocated 'for sure' and I was promised a confirmation call in a few days. Which happened a myth, too, like at Scarborough Subaru before. And William as manager did everything he could to not make us welcomed when we negotiated the deal. He was polite, too, but just not friendly. E.g. On his assessment on my trade-in Accord, he pointed that Accord's exhaust is noisy (probably hit by a road stone on the way there), I said OK I'd fix it. We completed the deal, with cost of the exhaust repair included on the dealer side. So on the day I came to Willowdale Subaru second time, and told them the exhaust is fixed, expecting them to re-evaluate the deal. Amazingly, May and William refused to re-evaluate, thus making the broken exhaust an invalid argument. Both May and William refused to accept it, and refused to provide any reasoning for such behaviour. I don't want anything from such an unprofessional place, so I claimed my $1000 and walked away. Overall experience - rated 2, due to unfriendliness and low level of professionalism. Price - rated 2, due to no reasoning ability on May/William part. More
