They do everything to push #’s of units sold, to allocate more of Toyota canadas supply chain to them. Do yourself & Toyota as a brand, the favor- just buy the make and model(purchased vehicle) you’re wanting, anywhere else. The disrespect and disregard for transparency was a great slight. Reg van tassel is the salesman I dealt with. I have a lot of more words to describe him lol not good at all lmao Bought a 2019 4Runner in 2023 for 50k This is how it plays out when you buy a I have a lot of more words to describe him lol not good at all lmao Bought a 2019 4Runner in 2023 for 50k This is how it plays out when you buy a car from here. 1. First things first, they don’t re-condition the cars if they don’t have too. If you happen to be interested in a vehicle that recently got traded in, they sell it to you in “as is condition”. They will state this condition in the papers you sign, in addition to the paperwork you sign in the finance office. 2. The old sleazy salesman meet and greet. Let me get some info, blah blah lol 3. So you feeling comfortable with the salesperson cause your shooting the sh$&.. , take a test drive, thinking to yourself think this is a suitable vehicle. Ok so Let em know you interested. agree on a number figure. 4. Sit down at there desk with family pictures in there area to let them know they’re a family person too. So implying I’m just a regular sales guy trying to make an honest living providing for my family. 5. Requests to take your credit card to the manager as a sign of strong interest in the vehicle. 6. Then comes negotiating, the part where he goes back and forth from the managers office several times . Sometimes he just goes out for a smoke instead of going to the managers office because he has to present to you he’s on your side negotiating for you, because he’s trying to convince you that he’s on your side, not the manager that signs his paycheque. Lol 7. After some unnecessary back and forth to determine final price, he shows you a figure that’s different from the agreed upon price, because there’s an administration fee, some dealership fees etc. 8. So you think to yourself , if I made it this far I might as well sign the xxxx paper. The point of no return. just remember It’s a Go Auto, so you will be financing through there 3rd party lender .No cash deal here. 9. So You sign the paper , and then feel some semblance of relief knowing the negotiating part is over, that is until you go to the finance office. 10. So for those who are unaware, a finance manager is just another salesperson on the back end of the deal. They like to give a final FU before sending you on your way. Which means giving you a high interest rate despite a good credit score and stating they will leave the condition of the vehicle as is. They will also try to encourage you to take some unnecessary extras. Overall, I feel generous giving a one star. More
Tried to tell me it would take 15k to recondition a vehicle with new tires and windshield and only 41, 000 kms on it. Refused to budge on the trade value or the price of their vehicle. I get it you got vehicle with new tires and windshield and only 41, 000 kms on it. Refused to budge on the trade value or the price of their vehicle. I get it you got to make money to, but come on. Why should I pay full price when they won’t even pay a fair price for my trade. More
Harpreet invested his time and effort to get me into a car. Harpreet did what it took to "hammer out a deal"getting me into a new car. A very nice new car. These folks are here to move the metal and car. Harpreet did what it took to "hammer out a deal"getting me into a new car. A very nice new car. STEER CLEAR Attempted to buy a vehicle from these guys. First came and viewed a used vehicle which looked good in pictures but upon arrival had extensive damage to the front bumper and rims all around. So First came and viewed a used vehicle which looked good in pictures but upon arrival had extensive damage to the front bumper and rims all around. So we decided to look at buying a new one. They had one we wanted coming in on a December truck so we decided to discuss a deal. Was then told by a sales person that we had to buy two extra packages on top of the purchase price. When we said we didn't want the extras, we were told they weren't optional. So we went home. Then today we thought we would try to buy it again, thinking maybe the other salesman was misinformed on AMVIC policy. But the 2nd salesman said the exact same thing. After I pushed, he talked to his manager again and then said that yes the packages are optional, but if you're paying cash for the vehicle, you would need to pay an extra 10000$ on top of the purchase price which would be returned to you after 6 months. After I questioned this, he said that he would have a manager call me back. Received no call back, so reached out via social media, citing AMVIC policy and received a phone call almost immediately (thank you!). The sales manager proceeded to tell me that the policy was in fact true and that it was cleared by AMVIC, but would not comment on the 2 salespeople insisting that the packages were mandatory. When I asked how would I know for sure that I would get my money back in 6 months, he said that clearly I don't trust dealerships and shouldn't be buying anything from them in the first place. I asked him how could I possibly trust that they would return my money after they clearly tried to sell me on something that I didn't want, against AMVIC rules, and that yes, indeed I didn't have to buy from them. I will gladly go spend my money elsewhere. Thank you for saving me from a bad vehicle purchase!! Edited in response to the dealer: You say the conversation started with me threatening you which is simply not true. After 3 days of conversation with your sales team, it was obvious that they had no idea what AMVIC regulations were with regards to All In pricing (which they should know as each one of them should have a valid sales license). After numerous attempts to talk to a manager, yes I reached out over social media and said that I will be making a complaint with AMVIC which I am in my full right to do. No threats were ever involved. Neither was I angry with anyone. In fact, when the sales manager said that I'm welcome to spend my money elsewhere, I calmly agreed and wished him a good day. So your attempt to make me sound like a crazy person is laughable. I can't comment on the deposit and this policy being compliant (whether or not it is, it's ridiculous, this is not Ferrari or Maserati.) But the all in pricing is very clear that a salesperson can't force anyone into any "mandatory" packages. The price listed should include anything mandatory already. I guess this is what happens when you make a dealership accountable, it seems it's a bit of a common theme here after reading reviews. Thank you for validating just how untrustworthy some dealerships can be. Just because there's a vehicle shortage, doesn't mean you can treat people like this. Thankfully there are plenty of good ones out there, as I am sure some of your team is as well. More
Friendly staff but not forth coming with accurate information. Multiple issues during the process with them promising on things they did not deliver.
